Another US Bitcoin Trader Faces Prison for Illegal Money TransmissionThis week in Southern California a Los Angeles woman who called herself the 'Bitcoin Maven' will be sentenced this Monday after pleading guilty for illegal money transmission. According to law enforcement, the woman made close to $300,000 USD annually by selling BTC on the peer-to-peer exchange Localbitcoins.
LA Woman Called the 'Bitcoin Maven' Convicted for Selling Bitcoins Without a License
U.S. law enforcement has arrested and convicted another Localbitcoins seller who reportedly made $300K per year selling digital assets. The 50-year-old Theresa Tetley used the alias 'Bitcoin Maven' and sold bitcoins without registering with the financial authorities. Prosecutors say Tetley's operations "fueled a black-market financial system in the Central District of California that purposely and deliberately existed outside of the regulated bank industry."
The U.S. Attorney's Office claims that Tetley processed around $6-9.5 million USD worth of bitcoins throughout her tenure. Operating as the 'Bitcoin Maven' Tetley sold BTC between 2014 and 2017 using the online trading platform. Tetley has pleaded guilty and her defense is asking for 1 year in prison for her wrong doings but prosecutors have asked the U.S. District Judge Manuel Real to sentence Tetley to 30 months in federal prison.
Last year US law enforcement officials began arresting Localbitcoins traders who dealt with large amounts of BTC.

Newly Launched Keyport Platform Enables BCH-Powered Encrypted MessagingThe application Keyport is a platform that utilizes the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) network's OP_Codes and allows users to send and accept encrypted messages built on top of the BCH chain and the Toku protocol. The new platform Keyport was created by Atlantislabs and it allows anyone to message each other in an encrypted fashion while communications are saved to the BCH chain in an OP_Return transaction and only the recipient can decrypt the messages.
Keyport: An Encrypted Messaging Application Built On Top of the Bitcoin Cash Blockchain
This week bitcoin cash proponents are now able to test a new encrypted messaging application that's powered by the Toku protocol and the BCH blockchain. The beta platform Keyport is available on the Google Play store and the team also published a video demo to give people a glimpse at how to use the application. News.Bitcoin.com spoke with the co-founder of Atlantislabs, Shravan Shandilya who told us about the new platform.
"Keyport is a peer to peer messaging app that is built over the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Messages are encrypted and embedded in the OP_Return of a transaction — Only the intended recipient can decrypt your chats. For each message, you will need to transfer dust and a small miner fee," explains Shandilya.
As the protocol is built over the decentralized blockchain, third parties cannot intercept or block your chats such as what is being done to messaging apps like Telegram — The protocol can be extended to enable future privacy, by generating one-way ephemeral secrets. Prague Subway System Now Has Ten New Bitcoin ATMsOne of the largest Bitcoin ATM manufacturers in the world, General Bytes, has recently installed ten new cryptocurrency ATMs throughout the Prague subway in the Czech Republic. Now commuters riding the Prague Metro can purchase digital assets at various locations spread out across the fifth busiest metro system in Europe.
General Bytes Installs Ten Bitcoin ATMs Across the Prague Metro
The Czech Republic-based firm General Bytes has revealed the installation of ten new cryptocurrency ATMs spread out across the Prague Metro. The subway gets more than 1.6 million people in daily foot traffic and is one of the busiest metro systems in Europe. The General Bytes machines are located at M?stek, Nádraží Veleslavín, Dejvická, Florenc, ?erný Most, Zli?ín, Pankrác, Flora, Skalka, and Hlavní Nádraží. Moreover, General Bytes provides a detailed map and description of each location on the website.
A map of the ten Prague Metro machines manufactured by General Bytes.
The new machines will likely get some use in the region as Prague is considered a booming cryptocurrency hub, as the area is filled with quite a lot of crypto-enthusiasts. For instance, the area is home to the Crypto Anarchy Institute, Paralelní Polis, and a few cryptocurrency businesses including the ATM manufacturer General Bytes.
General Bytes Has Manufactured 27% of the World's Bitcoin ATMs
The Czech government is relatively friendly towards cryptocurrencies and politicians haven't regulated virtual currencies or defined them as a currency or commodity like other nation states. However, the subject is being discussed among tax officials and the Czech National Bank wrote a paper last year called "Don't be Afraid of Bitcoin." Last year the well known online retailer, Alza, added cryptocurrency payments and installed two Bitcoin ATMs in the company's showroom. Just three days ago one of the largest energy suppliers in the Czech Republic, Pražská Plynárenská, announced it was accepting BTC for payments. A London-Based Company Successfully Trademarks the Name 'Bitcoin'Multiple reports and public filings have shown a UK-based firm called 'A.B.C. IPHoldings South West' has successfully acquired a trademark for the name 'Bitcoin'. According to a merchant on Etsy, IP-Holdings sent a cease and desist order because they were selling Bitcoin-themed t-shirts.
UK Company Successfully Copyrights the Name 'Bitcoin'
This week cryptocurrency enthusiasts found out the name 'Bitcoin' had been trademarked using the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) in the UK on December 22, 2017. The news came as a shock to one merchant who was selling t-shirts on Etsy with the Bitcoin name and was told to stop his operations or be held liable in a court of law. The letter states:
It has come to our client's attention that you are offering for sale a variety of clothing bearing the Bitcoin trademark on Etsy.co.uk. [Our Client] has not authorised your use of the Bitcoin trademark on and in relation to clothing. Such use, therefore, amounts to trademark infringement pursuant to s10(1) of the Trade Marks Act 1994.
Contacting the company is difficult as there is very little information on the London-headquartered firm called IP-Holdings — minus one other patented IP product called 'Westworld.' The trademark itself, filed this past December, reveals a list of goods that can't bear the name without permission such as adult clothing, infants' clothing, shoes, headbands, socks, and nearly everything that can be manufactured into a product. Trademark number 'UK00003279106 Bitcoin' was officially registered into the IPO's records on April 13, 2018.

Trump Issues Executive Orders Making it Easier to Fire Federal Employees Trump is on the proper track with new executive orders that will make it easier to get rid government workers.
With a new set of rules that everyone but socialists will love, Trump Moves to Ease the Firing of Federal Workers.
President Trump on Friday signed a series of executive orders making it easier to fire federal government workers and to curb the workplace role of unions that represent them.
Andrew Bremberg, the head of the White House Domestic Policy Council, said the president was "fulfilling his promise to promote more efficient government by reforming our Civil Service rules."
Unions representing government workers were quick to denounce the actions, calling them an "assault on democracy," in the words of the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest federal employee union, which represents 700,000 workers.
Changes
The first executive order makes it easier to fire and discipline federal employees. The administration said it could take six months to a year to dismiss an employee for poor performance, followed by an average of eight months to work through appeals. To streamline the process, the official said, the executive order will reduce the period in which poor performers must demonstrate improvement to 30 days, from as many as 120 days.
The second executive order directs federal agencies to renegotiate contracts with unions representing government employees to reduce waste. The administration official expressed hope that, for example, agencies could stop having to pay expenses of both sides when unions undertake appeals on behalf of fired workers.
The third order aims to cut down on what is known as "official time," in which government workers who have roles in the union, like helping colleagues file grievances, are allowed to perform those roles during normal working hours for which they draw their usual salary. The order limits official time to 25 percent of their hours during the year. Administration officials said a subset of federal employees had been able to spend as much as 100 percent of their duty hours on union business.
In regards to point number three, it would seem like 10% is more than generous. Strike that. There should not be public unions in the first place.
Union Busting
The unions of course responded with their usual charges.
"This is more than union busting — it's democracy busting," J. David Cox Sr., national president of the American Federation of Government Employees.
Democracy busting?
Please be serious.

Shocking Wikipedia Scandal Unfolding in UK Editor's Note: Since publishing this first article 1 week ago which lays out the accusation, Murray has published 3 more articles with additional damning evidence. Murray is a force in the UK and beyond. His 1-man blog gets around 2 million views per month, and his articles are widely republished elsewhere, as we are doing here, giving him millions more views. This makes him, by far, the most popular and influential journalist in the UK.

The Democrat Party Is Funded through Government AgenciesRon Bassilian is running for California's 37th Congressional district as a Republican in 2018.
Bassilian has been employed in the IT world mostly working on Exchange, Microsoft's enterprise e-mail solution.
Recently, Ron Bassilian discovered the US Center for Disease Control was diverting taxpayer dollars, at least $3 million, to a local liberal group to far left campaigns.
Ron Bassilian reported this earlier this week:
A friend of mine had a similar college life to me, he went on to do political advocacy and I went on to the private sector. So imagine my pleasant surprise when we find each other on Facebook a couple years ago, and I found out he gets a large check to start his Community Coalition center in South Central Los Angeles. Shocker: Trump's Private Commitments to Rothschild Disclosed by Researcher...... and, thereafter, became social and personal friends of the Rothschild family. Morphonios claims that Trump now is serving the financial interests of the Rothschild global enterprise, especially in the Middle East where the US engages in wars that, covertly, are waged to bring oil resources under the control of Rothschild oil companies. Wilbur Ross, a former senior managing director at Rothschild Inc., was appointed by President Trump to be the Director of the US Department of Commerce, a position that is a source of 'suggestions' for US policy in such matters.. [If Morphonios is correct, this would be reminiscent of the maneuver by which the Rothschilds, acting through the Bank of England, bailed out J.P. Morgan during the Wall Street Panic of 1857 and, thereafter, became the hidden controllers of the Morgan banking dynasty. For that story, see Creature from Jekyll Island, pp. 407-419.] Read more at https://needtoknow.news/2018/05/president-trump-rothschilds-puppet-major-revelations/

Bank Hackers Set up "Enormous Network" to Mine Bitcoin for Laundering MoneyEuropol has revealed that an international group of cyber criminals, which has stolen over a billion dollars from multiple banks by hacking their ATMs, has been using cryptocurrency as a means to conduct money laundering. The information was made public after cooperation by investigators from all over the world led to the arrest of the mastermind behind the sophisticated crime syndicate.
ATM Malware Gang
The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) has announced on Monday that the leader of the cybercrime gang behind the Carbanak and Cobalt malware attacks has been arrested in Spain. The action was supported by the American FBI, the Romanian, Moldovan, Belarussian and Taiwanese authorities as well as private cyber security companies.
Under his leadership, the alleged criminals would send bank employees spear phishing emails with a malicious software attachment. Once downloaded, the malware allowed the criminals to remotely control the victims' infected machines, giving them access to the internal banking network and infecting servers controlling ATMs. They hit banks in more than 40 countries, resulting in total losses of over €1 billion.
The illicit gains were also laundered via cryptocurrencies, by means of prepaid cards linked to the cryptocurrency wallets which were used to buy goods such as luxury cars and houses, according to the European agency. Steven Wilson, Head of Europol's Cybercrime Centre, commented: "The arrest of the key figure in this crime group illustrates that cybercriminals can no longer hide behind perceived international anonymity." Transgender Starbucks employee Lauren Walker brags about spiking conservatives' drinks with EstradiolThis year's Western Conservative Conference, "the premier gathering of conservatives in the Western United States," was held on March 23-24 in the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona. Speakers at the conference included Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Hermain Cain, Veritas founder James O'Keefe, and Wayne Allyn Root.
Rebekah Baker reports for The Western Journal that on the morning of March 24, a MtF transgender Starbucks employee, whose Twitter handle is "LLW", bragged about spiking the drinks of unsuspecting customers attending the Western Conservative Conference with a prescription drug, Estradiol:
"I love my job at the phoenix convention center starbucks and i love slipping my spare estradiol pills in the coffee of anyone wearing a #WesternConservativeConference lanyard"
Estradiol is an estrogen steroid hormone and the major female sex hormone. It is involved in the regulation of the estrous and menstrual female reproductive cycles and is. responsible for the development of female secondary sexual characteristics such as the breasts, widening of the hips, and a feminine pattern of fat distribution in women. Estradiol is used as a medication, primarily in hormone therapy for menopausal symptoms. "The most common estrogens used in transgender women include estradiol (which is the predominant natural estrogen in women)". (Wikipedia)
Here's a screenshot of LLW's tweet:
This is LLW's Twitter profile (now deleted). He calls himself "Lauren":
LLW has since taken down his Twitter page. If you go to @LLW902, you get this message:
Sorry, that page doesn't exist!
But swift reactions from conservatives, citing the tweet, show LLW indeed had sent the tweet. Here's a sample: Read more at http://www.dcclothesline.com/2018/03/28/transgender-starbucks-employee-lauren-walker-brags-about-spiking-conservatives-drinks-with-estrogen/.

After Multiple States Resisted, Feds Propose Bill To Legalize Growing Hemp--NATIONALLYThe many Americans who have called out the federal government for waging a war on hemp and improperly classifying it as a dangerous substance have found an unlikely ally in a senator who still believes marijuana should be illegal.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that he will introduce the Hemp Farming Act of 2018, which seeks to remove hemp from the federal government's controlled substances list and to legalize it as an agriculture commodity. A press release from the senator claimed that the bill seeks to:
"The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 will help Kentucky enhance its position as the leading state on hemp production. It builds upon the success we have seen through the hemp pilot programs by allowing states to be the primary regulators of hemp if the U.S. Department of Agriculture approves their implementation plan. This legislation also will remove the federal barriers in place that have stifled the industry, which will help expand the domestic production of hemp. It will also give hemp researchers the chance to apply for competitive federal grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture—allowing them to continue their impressive work with the support of federal research dollars."
When McConnell introduces the legislation, he will have the support of a bipartisan group of senators that includes fellow Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul. McConnell noted that hemp has played a significant role in Kentucky's agricultural heritage, and he believes it will help shape the future.
McConnell also credited Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles and his predecessor, Jamie Comer, as the "real champions for the research and development of industrial hemp" whose work in Kentucky has "become a nationwide example for the right way to cultivate hemp."
Quarles said he believes the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 will allow the agricultural industry to "harness the economic viability of this crop and presents the best opportunity to put hemp on a path to commercialization."
"Here in Kentucky, we have built the best Industrial Hemp Research Pilot Program in the country and have established a model for how other states can do the same with buy-in from growers, processors, and law enforcement," Quarles said. The Vaccine Industry's Biggest Threat? The Science Of Wild Oregano Oil & The Diseases It Can KillWild oregano oil is the key alternative. If it is from a truly wild source, then, it can be taken aggressively: as much as needed. Yet, for the typically immunized conditions only a modest amount is necessary, for instance, for chicken pox, measles, and mumps: like a few drops several times daily.
Wild oregano oil can also be rubbed topically on the feet, shins, and upper chest. It can even be used topically on newborns and infants. Babies and toddlers can take a tiny amount internally, like a drop or two twice daily. In this regard it is far safer than all standard drugs, like antibiotics, cough syrups, and even infant vitamins. – Dr Cass Ingram Researcher, Speaker & Author of 34 books.
Yes, some very big claims are being made here, and when we have been told for so many years that diseases are only prevented by vaccines, this may be incredulous to believe.
However, could there be a lot of truth to this? Are vaccines the only answer for keeping infectious diseases, viruses, bacterial infections and super bugs at bay? Read more at https://www.lewrockwell.com/2018/03/no_author/one-big-threat-to-the-vaccine-industry/.

They Remain Unreconstructed: Defiance Still Alive in Mountain South by John MeyersThe article was no surprise to me in the mountain South however. Certain traditions won't die.
I read of the recent case in my home county with a shit-eating grin. The woman defendant in the case was charged with a sundry of drug and alcohol charges after calling 911 to seek help for her husband (who suffers from PTSD) who was threatening to kill himself. Upon arrival on the scene, it was calm, and officers directed their attention to marijuana paraphernalia and what appeared to be illicit, untaxed whiskey.
After the state's instrument of prosecution built an elaborate narrative of ruthless drug dealers and rumrunners, with logs of customers and sales, and these people being a grave threat to society, their case collapsed. All charges came back not guilty, save one, which we'll get to momentarily. It appears the drugs on site were used to treat PTSD and traumatic head injuries. (I would be remiss to also point out they found other drugs, including morphine, but these were 'legal' with a state granted prescription) The 'customer log' was merely a log of money she owed to a couple people who they borrowed from when they were on hard times.
...
It was a classic case of Jury Nullification. Many of the juror’s and would be juror’s were asked if they thought marijuana should be legal and if they did, could they judge the case based on the current law. So much for that, eh?
One other charge came back with a hung jury. This was the charge related to the possession of what they claim is approximately 20 gallons of illegal alcohol. Read more at http://zerogov.com/?p=5619.
