The free, peer-to-peer, eBay-like marketplace already allows anyone to buy and sell all kinds of goods and services for bitcoin without censorship or fees. Openbazaar 2.0 Beta Launches with Tor, Offline Stores, and Real ListingsOne of the biggest complaints users had with Openbazaar before now has been stores going offline when vendors are not running their store apps. With version 2.0, even when the computer running the store is offline, other network nodes can display the store and still let customers place orders.
This is due to a major networking addition known as the Interplanetary File System (IPFS) protocol, which distributes store information between other Openbazaar users to help with store uptime and product availability. The team detailed:
Because this new version is built on IPFS, Openbazaar stores can now be accessible to buyers even when they are offline. Stores and listings can now be re-seeded by other Openbazaar users, meaning that if a store is seeded then buyers can purchase their listings even if they are offline.
Bitcoin Wallet and Shapeshift
Openbazaar 2.0 Beta Launches with Tor, Offline Stores, and Real ListingsVersion 1 did not have a bitcoin wallet built in, making it harder for new users that were not already bitcoin owners to start using the platform. New for version 2.0 is a full-featured bitcoin wallet, which recently integrated Segwit. This "does allow us some transaction fee relief," commented Openbazaar developer and founder Washington Sanchez.

BitCoin Criminal Trial Set for December 5 Thomas Costanzo and Dr. Peter Steinmetz are set to go to trial on December 5th, 2017. The Defense, needing additional time to time to evaluate the large volume of discovery provided by the government, filed a motion for an extension of time to file pretrial motions and to continue the trial. This motion was filed on August 31st be Lee Stein, Dr. Peter Steinmetz' attorney. The unopposed motion was granted on Friday, September 8th and the process of trial preparation continues. Demonetisation Was a Catastrophe: Marc Faber "We all know demonetisation has been a catastrophe. It didn't achieve its objectives. It could have been done in a benign way, giving a period of six months wherein old notes could be exchanged so that nobody suffered," Faber told BTVi in an interview.
He said that the move was based on academics wherein the people in the government had no clue of how the market functioned.
Faber said the note ban did aim at targeting organised crime, which gets a boost from the abundance of cash. But they too have other means to lend out money these days, he added.
Touching upon the Goods and Services Tax (GST), he said that the rates are quite high under the new indirect tax regime, which would encourage black marketing.
Demonetisation and GST roll-out also affected India's growth rate, which slumped to 5.7 per cent during April-June.

Kid Rock: 'Pretty funny how scared I have them' Detroit-based affiliate of the National Action Network said last week it would protest Kid Rock's six-show run opening the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit this week, aiming to get the concerts canceled.
Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, said in a statement that people should ignore "the garbage the extreme left is trying to create!"

'Uncontacted' Amazon Tribe Members Reported Killed in Brazil Now, federal prosecutors in Brazil have opened an investigation into the reported massacre of about 10 members of the tribe, the latest evidence that threats to endangered indigenous groups are on the rise in the country.
The Brazilian agency on indigenous affairs, Funai, said it had lodged a complaint with the prosecutor's office in the state of Amazonas after the gold miners went to a bar near the border with Colombia, and bragged about the killings. They brandished a hand-carved paddle that they said had come from the tribe, the agency said.
"It was crude bar talk," said Leila Silvia Burger Sotto-Maior, Funai's coordinator for uncontacted and recently contacted tribes. "They even bragged about cutting up the bodies and throwing them in the river."

Hackers Can Now Cause Blackouts On America's Electrical Grid, Report Hacking attacks over the last several months that targeted U.S. energy companies have been able to gain "operational control" over systems, thus threatening blackouts across the U.S., says Symantec.
The hacker group known as DragonFly 2.0 was able to gain control in at least 20 places, according to the firm.

Symantec on Wednesday revealed a new campaign of attacks by a group it is calling Dragonfly 2.0, which it says targeted dozens of energy companies in the spring and summer of this year. In more than 20 cases, Symantec says the hackers successfully gained access to the target companies' networks. And at a handful of US power firms and at least one company in Turkey – none of which Symantec will name – their forensic analysis found that the hackers obtained what they call operational access: control of the interfaces power company engineers use to send actual commands to equipment like circuit breakers, giving them the ability to stop the flow of electricity into US homes and businesses.
"There's a difference between being a step away from conducting sabotage and actually being in a position to conduct sabotage ... being able to flip the switch on power generation," says Eric Chien, a Symantec security analyst. "We're now talking about on-the-ground technical evidence this could happen in the US, and there's nothing left standing in the way except the motivation of some actor out in the world." ISIS and other terrorist groups couldn't exist without foreign backing. America, NATO, Israel and their rogue allies provide weapons, munitions, and other material support.
Media scoundrels suppress what's going on, pretending US war on terror is real. It's a colossal hoax.
Washington and its allies deploy terrorist forces to locations where they want them used, shifting them to various battleground areas, including back-and-forth cross-border between Syria and Iraq.
On Wednesday, US-led helicopters airlifted around 20 ISIS field commanders, along with rank-and-file fighters from Deir Ezzor - after Syrian and allied forces broke their three-year siege.
According to Syrian military and media reports, heliborne operations in Deir Ezzor's Kal al-Mala region and near al-Rahba shifted ISIS forces for use elsewhere in Syria.
Similar operations occurred earlier in Iraq and Syria, much like how armies deploy their troops where they're strategically needed.
Separately, Russia delivered humanitarian aid to liberated Deir Ezzor areas, including food, water, medical supplies, mobile generators, and other essential goods, according to its Defense Ministry.
Russia's Chief of General Staff Gen. Sergey Rudskoy said "(o)ver the past two weeks, the Syrian government troops with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces have achieved important advances and dealt a decisive blow to Daesh terrorists in Syria's east and center" - calling it one of the most important achievements in over six years of war, a major defeat for ISIS.
Smashing the terrorist group entirely won't end war in Syria. Thousands of al-Nusra and likeminded fighters remain to be eliminated.

Yellowstone Approaches Record Levels Of Seismic Activity Many people are fearing a major eruption, and those terrors aren't calmed for some as the national park approaches a record number of earthquakes.
A cluster of earthquakes at the Yellowstone Park volcano is the most active it's been in recent history. The earthquake count is up to 2,357 since June with the largest having a magnitude of 4.4. The majority of the earthquakes were magnitudes of 0 or 1, according to a report by Newsweek.
Yet scientists are assuring the public that a swarm of earthquakes doesn't necessarily signal an eruption of the super volcano. But when the type of earthquakes occurring in Yellowstone deviates from the standard, it could mean that an eruption is forthcoming. The Excuse is Immigration, But Federal Checkpoints Violate Everyone's Rights Federal agents set up shop in New Hampshire last week. They ran a Constitutionally-illegal checkpoint, violating the Fourth Amendment rights of countless Americans.
The big reward? They arrested 25 illegal immigrants, seven of them children. More than half of those detained had overstayed visas. That means they came to the U.S. legally in the first place and did not leave when their visa expired.
What could have spurred this callous disregard for the law? Well, a personal anecdote could shed some light on the situation.
A friend of mine from Brazil had a six-month visiting visa to the United States. He would come and stay with his uncle who had permanent residency. The way the rules work, it that my friend could use the visa as often as he wanted to travel to the United States, but couldn't stay for longer than the six month period.
It was literally completely legal for him to fly to Brazil, spend the night, and fly back to the United States the next day. Then he could stay for another 6 months.
Being a rule follower, he did what the law said and flew back to Brazil where he stayed for about four months. The ticket to get back to the U.S. cost about $1,000. But when he arrived, he was denied entry to the United States. He was sent back to Brazil, and his visa was suspended for five years.
Why did this happen? After all, he followed all the rules. Officials said if he was staying 6 months at a time, he must have been working. Yes, because he stayed within the legal limits of his visa, the federal officials surmised that he must have violated the conditions of his visa.
Perhaps this unpredictability of U.S. Customs creates an incentive to overstay visas. Maybe the $1,000 plane tickets make it tempting to overstay a visa. Because maybe even if you follow the rules, you will arbitrarily be denied anyway, wasting your time, burning your money, and being separated from the rest of your family still in the States. Speaking of family, maybe the fact that many of the detained immigrants have kids in school in the U.S. means it is a ridiculous burden to make them leave every six months.
Yes, they broke the law. They broke complicated and restrictive immigration laws.
But why is it so important to follow immigration laws, while immigration officials completely disregard the Fourth Amendment?
Great job! Agents enforced immigration law by breaking Constitutional law. They stopped every car on I-93, without suspicion or probable cause. Generally, occupants of the vehicles are asked whether or not they are an American citizen.
If they refuse to answer, exercising their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, that is considered evidence of a crime, and they are detained for further questioning and possible search. Exercising a right is used as evidence of a crime. That is the point we have gotten to in the U.S.A. police state.
