141  Economy / Collectibles / Lets Play Corrosive Poker on: March 08, 2021, 10:18:36 PM
So now that the the hearts are being delivered we have our hands.

Full house.

This coming from the guy who is trying to sell off other collectibles because I am trying to put more stuff out there for people. Was doing well for a while. And then Corrosive had to go and do this.

So anyone with a four of a kind or better out there?

142  Economy / Computer hardware / Dave's Last Chance For Old SHA Miners Sale on: March 06, 2021, 09:06:48 PM
So I posted these over the last year and none of them sold. So, I figured I would give them one last try before I part them out /scrap them / recycle.
Instead of just bumping the threads I put them all here with the links to the original listings.

Avalon 821 with AUC3 and RPi: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259801
$100 shipped to you in US
Working no issues, no real idea of it's history but it's here.
Can go cheaper if you don't want the RPi, the AUC3 is still selling for $40+ if and when you can find them out there....

Sold

Avalon 721 with 1 dead hash board (it does work when it wants to)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5248965
$35+ shipping in US. Includes AUC / Cable / RPi
Turn down the voltage in the config and it's dead silent.

Sold

S7LN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245828
$80 shipped in the US. Seriously the parts + PS are worth more the miner, the red LED is blinking but it's steady @ 2.7TH
Totally inefficient by todays standards, but a nice space heater for the winter.

Not shown and not SHA I also have an Antminer X3 CryptoNight
Out of the 3 boards, 1 is 100% dead, one is only showing 53 out of the 60 chips, the 3rd board works fine. It's doing about 150 KH/s
$25 + shipping in the US.

Anyone interested? Reply here or PM.
Standard, no support they are all old and As-Is....

143  Economy / Collectibles / [SOLD] 2018 Bitcoin Penny Silver MS-68 on: March 02, 2021, 07:34:18 PM
Not really sure how much it's worth so I'll start it out at BTC0.0025 shipped US
Can do international, figure in the $30+ range for shipping.

Clearing out a bunch of stuff, and this was one of those things that "was going to put in the cabinet on display" that never made it.
And probably never will, it just has been sitting in a box for a while. So, here it is for someone else to enjoy.

Payment address will be: bc1qx4urpknr672kcg395r852rznwt4ln2uxk226dq
Can also take some of the bigger alt coins for payment if you want.

144  Other / Meta / Should the Scam Accusations & Reputation sections be more restricted/moderated? on: February 26, 2021, 12:16:55 PM
Ugh, I hate saying this but it's getting to the point of not being worth reading.

For every good useful thread about something there are 5 worthless ones with people bickering, or newbies coming in saying some service, that is a known scam, that already had flags against them and 7 similar posts took their life savings.

Or new users coming in and doing stupid stuff and then wanting to blame the world (or just scamming / trying to hurt the reputation of others)

Or the endless discussions about how "XYZ" is a scam but the service shut down in 2017 and now it's just people complaining about funds they lost back in the day.

I dislike moderating things like this but I am starting to think good info is getting buried under crap and it's not doing anyone any good.

--end rant--

145  Economy / Collectibles / Double and triple check the coin makers lists if possible when buying / selling. on: February 21, 2021, 02:18:25 PM
Just because it just happened to me.
I sold this coin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5316046 (10k funded doge) and it turned out to be buyer funded.
Was not on the CI list and neither I or the buyer checked that it was not an original CI till it was in his hands.

Now I look like an ass and he is stressed that he sent me BTC for a coin that is not really worth what he paid since we don't know who funded it and who has the private keys.

Double and triple check the coin makers lists if possible when buying / selling funded coins.

Can save you a bunch of stress later in life.

147  Economy / Collectibles / Doge is going nuts so buy my CryptoImperator 10k DogeCoin for $1500 on: February 10, 2021, 01:27:57 AM
OK, seriously I have no real idea of what this is worth.
I sold one the other day for over $1k when Doge was a bit lower.
Join the insanity.

Heck if Doge keeps going you could MAKE money. Laugh if you want, but you never know.
I have no idea why Doge is where it is now in terms of price, but I'll cash in on it.

$1500 in BTC at preev rate.

Payment address: bc1qra0479e77eegy44u8q6av54yskkqhcvl5dd8xr

Shipping included.
But you are going to have to sign for it :-)
Will ship anywhere you want, but if you want it insured then you are going to get hit with the customs value on the insured value.

149  Economy / Service Discussion / An interesting thought about spending signature campaign payouts on: February 03, 2021, 02:51:46 PM
So I was thinking about what people do with the BTC that they get from signature campaigns and converting it to fiat.
There are a few places (Coinbase comes to mind) that do not like BTC that comes from online gambling and will close your account because of it.
There are others that may or may not keep some track of what they think are "tainted" (I hate the expression) coins.

So, if you are in a campaign for a casino or if you are one of the ChipMixer people, do you keep your payouts sequestered a bit from coins you may want to convert to fiat one day?

Just bouncing this around in my head, no idea if anyone else thought about it.

152  Economy / Reputation / Bounty Scammers, Why Do We Care? on: January 28, 2021, 01:43:17 AM
Starting with there are a lots of people putting in a lot of hard work tracking down the 100s of bounty scammers out there.
lovesmayfamilis, YOSHIE, and all the others are putting in hours of work tracking these people down.

Now...why do we as a group care?
Looking at the "quality" of the work that most of these scammers put out if the bounty managers want to pay for that crap then let them pay.
It's hurting the projects, but the better projects will want better posts / tweets / etc.
The crap is well...crap, let them use crap posters, who give them crap and then they can pay with their crap tokens. Let them all play in their piles of crap.

Or am I just that burn out and tired of dealing the with the 1 list shit posts around here.

-Dave

*Full disclosure if you are reading this some time in the future, I am wearing a paid sig with I post this, but I like to think I'm not posting crap....

154  Economy / Collectibles / Have you sold something because you saw what someone else sold it for? on: January 17, 2021, 02:13:34 PM
Without naming the item or seller, I was just going thought the WTS / Sold items here and had to stop and think:
WOW, that sold for THAT MUCH?  Do I go to the vault this week and pull that out to sell it?

The answer is no, I am not going to have the time. And I have too much other stuff to sell 1st.
But it got me thinking, how much stuff sells here because someone else sold one 1st.

No, poll just looking to see if other people at times, like me, don't realize how much some stuff they have collected is worth.

Think about it, we are trading collectable things, that have skyrocketed in value, based on something else that has only been around a little over a decade.
George Lucas would be proud.

157  Other / Meta / What does it take for someone to get banned? on: January 04, 2021, 01:12:59 AM
So we have your standard junk poster out there begging for money:
https://loyce.club/archive/members/295/2955699.html

As of now 16 out of 17 posts have been deleted and it's just a matter of time till the 17th goes away too.
What are the mods waiting for to ban him?

Over the last few weeks / months I feel like I have been seeing this a lot more. Posters with dozens of deleted posts (none good) that are not banned / nuked.
Did something change, or am I just getting grumpier?

160  Bitcoin / Project Development / Mid Tier to High Tier Funding Lightning Node Provider(s) on: December 29, 2020, 12:38:48 PM
Not 100% sure if anyone would be interested in this or if it's even needed as a thing or if it's just a Dave issue but:
There are several places out there that I can think of off the top of my head that have stupid high minimums to connect to.
We are talking 100s if not 1000s of dollar minimums.
ln.pizza, bitrefill come to mind 1st but I know there are others.
I was thinking of setting up a node that connects JUST to one or both of them and then making it known that you can connect to my node(s) with my higher then normal but still a sane number minimum amount.

No idea if anyone cares or is really interested, I just got really annoyed yesterday when I saw 4 hops to get to ln.pizza for no reason other then I could not connect to them evn though I was going to open a $500 channel.

Part of me also has the attitude of fuck them if you want to keep those high numbers go ahead and loose business.
