1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do you do something while you gamble? If so, what? on: July 01, 2016, 07:55:40 AM
Title.

I personally love to gamble while playing games. Mainly Counter-strike, or when I'm in a competitive game of Team fortress 2.

Or maybe sometimes when doing homework Grin
2  Other / Meta / "Units of Evil" on: June 30, 2016, 12:40:48 AM
Someone recently told me that if you log into bitcointalk through tor or a proxy, you will receive a hundred "units of evil". He told me that you can't use your account unless you remove them. Is this really a thing? Do you really have to pay 0.1 to remove a unit of evil?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 10 bitcoin or 10 bitcoins? on: June 17, 2016, 04:15:55 AM
Seen a lot of different ways of saying 10 btc, I personally say 10 bitcoin. My grammar has recently been question though, by the titanium BTCC coins. They say 10 bitcoins :-/
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Estimate the minimum TX fee to get a tx into thr blocks 420,000 or 420,001! on: June 10, 2016, 09:49:54 AM
Title. Ive seen so many bitcointalkers saying they'll make a transaction on the halving block. So how much will it cost to get a tx into this block?

Let's assume -
- The block is full
- There is a high interest to get a transaction into this block
- You are making a 1 input 1 output transaction

I'm going to say a 0.0007-0.001 fee
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Something wrong, or just me? :) on: May 30, 2016, 11:25:27 AM

Okey dokey. I was supposed to recieve payment for multiple transactions 3 hours ago. My ledger wallet didn't pick anything up, so I contacted the sender. He claimed he sent all of the txes, and gave me their hashes. So I put them in on my usual blockchain explorer (blockr.io) and found it to say,

Quote
This transaction is unknown.

You might have used wrong transaction hash, or the transaction you're looking for hasn't yet propagated through the network. It can take a while for transactions to get to blockchain nodes.

Note, when transaction is first seen it can be just an unconfirmed transaction. Those transactions are not to be trusted yet, they are not part of the blockchain.
For more info check this page.

If you're sure you have the right transaction hash, you might want to refresh the page.
Er... I was starting to get a little freaked out now.

But...

No worries! Just blockr doing a coinbase. (My ledger is set to use blockr, too Smiley) Hah!

P.S. I found out when this page was last archived - 2 Years ago! Just as the btc price was dropping. Ah, the memories of $1.2k Sad

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / What is worse - Losing all your btc to slots, dice, etc? on: May 26, 2016, 08:55:24 PM
So. Which one's more painful to you personally?

Watching you lose in dice, roulette, sportsbet, coin flip or jackpot? I personally think dice, as I usually bet low, but chase my losses until I hit 0. Then I think what I could've done to fix it. A bit too late.

8  Economy / Gambling / Moneypot just took a huge loss? on: January 29, 2016, 10:42:51 AM
Sorry guys, I don't know how long it's been this way, as I don't check up on my investment that frequently, (They're mebbr to be long term, so I have an excuse for not checking every few days, alright?) But I've recently found my invested 0.1 turned to dust. Not a very encouraging thing, at 3 AM.

So, how long has it been like this? Does anyone know who won this big amount? Or was there a glitch allowing gamblers to bet with a negative house edge? Grin

9  Economy / Scam Accusations / Unconfirmed Scammer: althunteruk (NEED HELP FROM DT, ACCOUNT MIGHT HAVE BEEN SOL on: January 27, 2016, 09:34:35 PM
What happened::
Hey guys, I was looking for a cheap copy of CSGO, and I saw this guy. He goes by the name of althunteruk.

He was looking for offers, and I offered 0.02 and he responded that he had recieved a better offer of 0.022, and that buyer was going first. I really wanted the game copy so I said I'd pay 0.025 and I'd also go first.

He agreed, but gave me a dodgy screenshot of where the game came from. I told him I needed him to link me his profile, and comment in his comment board just to show proof of his ownership, but he declined, saying -
Quote
Its not about time if my boss sees me on that game (tremorgames) website again im going to get a written warning its not worth my job for $10 lol

Seems legit, he responded this earlier -
Quote
Sorry about the delay had to redownload gyazo again

So he is allowed to download Gyazo but not allowed on a simple site at work?

I then offered him a deal. I send 0.01 first, he sends me the codes, then I send the rest. Within a few seconds I received a response, accepting my offer.

So I send the bitcoin. But hey, hey, he goes offline straight after I say -

Quote
First transaction has been made. If you are a scammer I have proof, because I made a note in the TX.

Awaiting your code.
(It turns out this note is client side, not broadcasted to the whole network :3)

I went to sleep straight after that, and for the past 10 hours he's been offline. I wonder for how long more.

Additional Notes: To that person who offered 0.022, please refrain from trading with this guy.

So I think this guy is a scammer, but I want to give him another 24 hours to send me the game, and I will pay the rest. And please, can people remove the negative feedback if the guy has paid back? Thanks.

He's a scammer. Please --ve.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Does this happen to you? on: January 06, 2016, 06:44:46 AM
Hey gamblers, id like to ask you all a question.

I like betting on dice. I know it's bad, but I do. But I've seen a pattern with my losses. I'm not saying that the dice site in playing on is rigged, in just annoyed that this keeps happening to me.

I like to bet manually. On 50%. When I bet low, like 0.001 a roll, I make profit. Then I get a little cocky and bet 0.1. I lose straight away. This keeps happening to me!
11  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Rocket League for Steam on: December 26, 2015, 10:32:41 AM
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a copy of Rocket League for Steam. I don't want a restricted version unless it can be played in Australia.

If you want to do this deal, you've gotta do it before the steam sale ends, otherwise you don't get the discount :-/

It's currently on sale now for $14, and i'm looking for a deal I can buy with bitcoin. Maybe $7.5 in BTC? This is negotiable, please PM me and I will give you a link to my steam account where we can talk in private.
12  Economy / Services / Looking for writing work! on: December 26, 2015, 03:46:05 AM
Hey guys, I'm looking for some writing jobs.

What I can do:
  • Write a detailed review for your site (Honestly, or you give me the basic gist of what you want me to say)
  • Write a "landing" description for your site
  • I speak perfect English, no grammatical errors and a large vocabulary Wink
And more, depending on what you want.

Depending on what you want, we can negotiate. But it goes something like this:

Other: Offer me your job, and your price, and we can negotiate.

Landing Description: $5

Prices are not fixed, they can vary.

15  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Safest bitcoin (not cold) wallet on: December 26, 2015, 01:34:19 AM
Does anyone know the safest bitcoin wallet? I've heard it's Armory, but I haven't seen any proof, I've only heard armory mentioned once in a while. Is there and program that can prove it's worth?

It armory is as safe as people say, would it be larger that bitcoin qt, or more RAM intensive?
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Anyone betting on the American election? on: December 25, 2015, 01:55:53 AM
As the title says, is anyone betting on the American election? Who are you betting on? Trump?  Clinton? How much did you bet?

I personally think it's immoral to bet on elections, because the election odds at a gambling site will usually foretell who's going to win the election, as the same people who are betting are voting.

P.S. Betting on the next pope isn't allowed, so why should betting on an election be allowed? Now that's just messed up.
17  Economy / Gambling / Casinos that credit you with balance if you have no confos? on: December 25, 2015, 01:53:00 AM
Hey guys, not that I have any double-spent coins, but are there any casinos that do as the title says, credit your balance as soon as a deposit is recieved, even if it has 0 conformations? It could happen, and I've traded with people who accept these txes, either because they have a lot of trust in their customer, or they're desperate. If a casino was like that, people could easily take advantage of their trust.

So are there any?

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Oldest pending bitcoin transaction? on: December 24, 2015, 04:28:08 AM
Hey guys, I'd like to know if there was a way to find the oldest bitcoin tx currently in the mempool? I've been trolling a friend of mine, who keeps complaining that his tx hasn't bounced back to him yet, even though it's been pending for 9 days. Sad to say, I've been rebroadcasting his transaction, just to show what more of a dick I am Cheesy

So, what's the oldest tx that's still pending? Is it being rebroadcasted by a troll?
20  Economy / Speculation / If the US dollar crashed, would it affect bitcoin in any way? on: December 19, 2015, 03:13:42 AM
As the title says, what would be the effects on bitcoin if the US economy crashed?

Would there be a sharp rise, as lots of people would want to move their money out of the dollar and into something else, or would the price drop, as a large fraction of the bitcoin community is American?
