361  Economy / Services / Google Apps - $2450/Year Value! on: October 15, 2012, 11:16:16 AM
I'm selling an "old" Google Apps account that takes advantage of the older, more generous 50 free user limit. As domain names can't be changed (but you can add alternate domains), you can only make use of 49 accounts. Regardless, this is an amazing deal.

Post your offers please.
362  Other / Off-topic / Hi Bitcoiners! Let's play a game of mafia together. on: October 15, 2012, 10:48:52 AM
Mafia is a common social / party game where an uninformed majority (the town) tries to logically deduce who is the mafia. The mafia can choose to kill a person each night, and everyone during the day gets to decide who's the scum with their votes and ends up with one person lynched. There are a variety of power roles to help the town in their search for mafia.

This mafia game will be played on the forum. Socialize with fellow bitcoin forum members and sign up for a game of mafia! Please make sure you have the time commitment ready - this can take a month or so.

The roles are closed and will not be revealed. It also varies depending on how many people signs up.

Want to sign up? Reply to this thread with an /in as well as your mafia experience. Roles will be randomly assigned, don't worry  Smiley

Length of day: Max of 6 days.
Length of night: Max of 2 days.
Vote: Majority lynches
Available roles (they might not be present in this game!): Townie, Cop, Doctor, One-Shot Vigilante, Two-Shot Rolecop, Mafia, Godfather, Mafia Rolecop
363  Economy / Auctions / [Auction] 17,000 impressions to your website on: October 15, 2012, 08:06:52 AM
Do you want 17,000+ primary English speaking visitors to your site? Those that browse for less than ten seconds won't count. You obviously won't get conversion rates as high as google adwords, but you can't argue on the price. Visitors will be 100% human and will be delivered across 30 days.

No, they're not crappy adf.ly links.

Starting bid: 2 BTC
Increments by a minimum of 0.25 BTC
Ends in 4 days after this post.

For more questions, contact me or just post here.
364  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Crowdfounding. on: October 14, 2012, 10:11:09 PM
You've got an idea for the next bitcoin-based service/website/product, whenever it's a new ASIC miner or a credit card to bitcoin exchange or even a shop that sells images of nyan cats. You'll need some funding to develop, work and produce the site. And you don't want to get in jail for financial fraud over offering fake "bonds" and "securities".

A site similar to Kickstarter and Indiegogo but only accepts bitcoins would be perfect for your venture. Get bitcoins, backers get rewards. Win win.

Example:

Back 10 BTC to get a GPU miner, shipped to your address or hosted in our datacenter!

Back 20 BTC to get two GPU miners, shipped to your address or hosted in our datacenter!

Back 40 BTC to get four GPU miners, shipped to your address or hosted in our datacenter!

1. You are not offering dividends.
2. You are not offering shares (ownership).
3. You are accepting funds for crowdsourcing and in return you give people products that they can choose not to redeem.
365  Bitcoin / Project Development / Promoting bitcoin - "Pay Less with Bitcoin" on: October 14, 2012, 11:42:09 AM
I was thinking maybe there could be a project where we encourage web stores to take Bitcoin as payment and offer a discount (like 3%, about paypal's fees) for those who purchase with bitcoin. In addition, the official 'Pay Less with bitcoin' site will showcase stores and give out free advertising, and could develop easy to use and integrate plugins and APIs to make accepting bitcoins be something that takes around a hour to set up and get working.
366  Economy / Marketplace / :: 1 Free Bitcoin - absolutely free, no $ required. Just use my affiliate link on: October 14, 2012, 11:20:26 AM
What's Clixsense?
Clixsense is a site that pays you money for viewing advertisements, completing offers and surveys as well as tasks. It's similar to a lot of Bitcoin services, but this is about USD cash. However, there is a referral / affiliate system which can be quite beneficial.

So here's the deal.
If you put in about 15 minutes a day, you can make a bit of money - I've made $9.40 in five days. That's nearly a bitcoin. But I will also share my affiliate earnings with you and pay you in bitcoins.

I will take the Paypal money you earn on Clixsense and convert them to bitcoins AND give you a bonus of my affiliate income.

Current rate is (MtgoxUSD - 3%) from clixsense = 1 bitcoin. This is good for you - you'll get more bitcoins compared to the market price. Keep in mind that this offer is only good once, and I will only give you a maximum of one bitcoin.

Signing up
Click on the second (to the right) link in my signature to sign up, and reply or PM me with your username once you have reached (MtgoxUSD - 3%) and would like to covert it to 1 Bitcoin. If you're happy with taking Paypal as the $, I will give you a bonus of 0.02 BTC.
367  Economy / Services / Get BTC for signing up under my referral links! on: October 12, 2012, 03:29:46 AM
Sites typically give you a bonus for referring people. But you should get the cut too! I will share my referral bonuses with you for just signing up.

368  Other / Off-topic / Windows 8: Microsoft to whitelist sites that can be browsed in IE10 on: October 12, 2012, 12:20:18 AM
Windows 8, the next OS coming from Microsoft features the slightly improved browser called Internet Explorer 10.

The metro user interface supports "next generation" (that is fat, imprecise fingers that are useless for typing) user interface methods, and older 'classic' mouse and keyboard input is deprecated. Inside the same metro user interface, a different browser, Internet Explorer 10 metro edition has a new 'feature': "Controlling the site experience"

IE10 on Metro will have a Microsoft-vetted whitelist of what sites are and aren't allowed to have special privileges. As of now, it includes plugin support like Flash, as well as camera, microphone, printing, peer to peer, and gesture support.

Those sites will not be allowed to be displayed in Windows 8. Developers of those site must make a 'app' for Windows Store which contains it's own guidelines like no peer to peer (ie bitcoin). Flash content will also be not allowed - goodbye flash games. Unless they are included in Microsoft's CV whitelist.

369  Bitcoin / Project Development / A Regulated Stock Exchange on: October 11, 2012, 10:00:50 PM
There's lots of scammers and legal problems with starting a SE on BTC. But why shouldn't there be a regulated stock exchange? We could call it ARSE. It'll be reported to the SEC and security issuers will have liability.

Advantages:
- No legal problems like GLBSE
- Safer due to regulation and legal liabilities
- Better security, real company behind it

Would anyone want ARSE?
370  Bitcoin / Mining support / 5850M OpenCL Mining - How? on: October 11, 2012, 09:50:12 PM
GPU miners don't recognize it. I have an Alienware M15x with 5850M overclocked to 5870M levels. (5870m is just a differently clocked 5850m). How can I mine with this GPU?
371  Economy / Securities / Real Life Stock Passthroughs (eg AAPL) on: September 24, 2012, 11:30:53 AM
So I've got an idea.. why don't someone start a real life stock exchange passthrough? Maybe even a stock exchange that lets you spend bitcoins. The barrier to entry of stocks can be pretty high.
372  Economy / Long-term offers / | BitPonzi - 7% weekly :: Invest if you want, Proceeds to Charity | on: September 24, 2012, 09:20:26 AM
What is BitPonzi?
BitPonzi is a open Ponzi scheme. Interest will be paid from later investors, as well as low-risk investments on GLBSE. It's a Ponzi scheme. That doesn't mean you will lose money or get scammed. This should not be your life retirement plan, you know the risks. It will collapse one day, but if you withdraw before the collapse, you'll make a nice profit Smiley.

Why 'invest' into other disguised ponzis when you can get better rates here? Same risk, better returns.

What will the funds be invested in?
A certain amount of funds will be invested into stocks and bonds. Why have bitcoins sitting around doing nothing when they can earn interest? They'll be sold fully when investors make withdraws.

Is this a ponzi?
Yes, obviously. Think of this as informed gambling. The risk will increase the longer this goes, but the rewards will too.

How much interest will you pay?
7% per week.

Why should I invest?
Because as long as there is a steady stream of new investors, you'll make interest. Pull out before the ship crashes and you'll make a profit. Always remember, only invest what you can afford to lose, and this is true for everything seeing as nearly all of the LTOs are just ponzis in disguise. Why not openly make one and donate proceeds to charity?

What's to stop you from running away with my coins before this defaults?
The longer this goes for, the more money I make.

This is unsustainable!
Of course it's unsustainable. But when it's working, you'll make profits. Decide when to pull out and choose your own risk.

What if this defaults?
I'll sell all stocks / bonds, give it to charity, and lock the thread. Your investments will not be paid back if you're slow and didn't withdraw, and you're aware of it right now. That's the risk you're going to take.

Okay, I know this is a Ponzi and I'm going to get on the boat. How do I start?
PM me and I'll give you a wallet to send funds to. When you want to withdraw, PM me again.

Withdrawing
You can only withdraw the full funds. After withdrawing, you will not be able to invest again. There is a fee to withdraws depending on how much you want to withdraw. Longer = less fees, more coins, but more risks.

When is interest paid?
Generally mondays, Australian time.

Why did you make a Ponzi scheme?
Because pretty much every other thread is a disguised ponzi scheme?
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining bitcoins while mining litecoins on: September 23, 2012, 09:09:52 AM
Since LTC uses CPU and BTC uses the gpu, would there be any performance loss on either side? I would think mining BTC would use a bit of cpu too?
374  Other / Off-topic / 101% expt. payout bitcoin gambling on: September 23, 2012, 04:44:09 AM
How it could work:

25% chance that you lose all of your bitcoins.
24% chance that your bitcoins are halved
26% chance that you get 50% more bitcoins
25% chance that you double your bitcois

To make money, there could be a 3% withdraw fee, so you'll only make a profit if you risk enough. Add advertisements, and close down accounts of those who haven't played for two days.
375  Other / Off-topic / HTML/js based graphs with hover over like GLBSE on: September 23, 2012, 04:20:32 AM
How do they work? Like the GLBSE stock ones.
376  Economy / Securities / Strategic HYIP Investments - idea on: September 22, 2012, 12:38:32 PM
I'm thinking of starting a company that will invest in HYIPs with Liberty Reserve. Generally, HYIPs stay afloat for a few months and then disappear after there is not enough new members joining to pay back the previous ones. I will attempt to minimize the risk by spreading it out and withdrawing early, not keeping it inside the scams. Interest will be around 7% weekly, and it's not a ponzi scheme! Because of diversification and strategic withdraws (everyone who withdrawn from Pirate before the default profited massively), I should be able to provide high returns at moderate risk.

378  Economy / Economics / Economical to buy BitForce Single SC for mining? on: September 22, 2012, 08:26:40 AM
Is it worthwhile to buy butterfly's labs ASIC products purely for mining? Assuming that their business is legit and they'll actually ship, I feel there would be a lot of people who brought it and dilute the market.
379  Economy / Long-term offers / * Before you invest: Watch this video! on: September 22, 2012, 06:32:01 AM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UVpLPtgdF4&feature=player_embedded

This explains what Ponzi schemes are, like pirateat40's and much much more. I'd say 95% of the threads here are ponzi scams.
