I am not sure what I should right now. Need advice.

1. I am removing all trust given by the previous owner for false reasons. Please post here if you are one of them.

2. Please remove all trust positive or negative given to me. Or at least change it to neutral or so.

thank you Smiley

6  Other / Meta / Three perfectly good examples of how the trust system is flawed on: January 09, 2015, 09:04:50 AM
Three accounts:
1) Charlie Shrem aka Yankee - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=21181

Scam Accusation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=817069.0

He was the owner of bitinstant, so he got a lot of rep back then for running such a business. HOWEVER, he has disappeared and owes over 25 BTC and has for months now. Yet he's still in the green and what many would consider a trustworthy account from the outside. The only ones who have left negative feedback are those who are not on default trust list.

2) Coinhoarder - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=67959

Scam Accusation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=817069.0

This one kills me. This guy bought a couple things from people trustworthy and instantly got green trust. He isn't even light green, hes a solid 7 green. He took two debts and has failed to fully pay them off (at least 1 of 5 BTC remaining). He offered a contest for 5 BTC and never paid the winner. Over a year ago. Only people who marked him of course were those who were untrusted.

CONCLUSION: The biggest flaw is that the trustworthy on this site are the old members and the old members don't spend as much time on here anymore. They also don't look for scammers or anything, the only one who does is Tomatocage. So many members USED TO BE trustworthy and gained an extensive amount of rep, however once they scam their account doesn't reach red unless they really piss off EVERYONE hence TF for example. The people who have the ability to mark someone a scammer do not participate in marking people who are proven scammers, as a scammer. Tomatocage's rep can only hurt someone who used to be trustworthy so much. Not enough people on the default trust care about correcting misgiven trust after someone turns out to be a scammer. These accounts left trustworthy are then abandoned, resold, and then used to scam further.

These two accounts are two perfectly good examples of accounts that should be in the red with the "trade with extreme caution" but are not.

Everyday almost for the past 2 months I have sent Tomatocage links to accounts that have been scamming to get them the red trust they deserve.

A third example, user Lazlo who created the thread RipDice. His site NEVER paid out. He bumped his thread for 3 months. Just recently, last week HE FINALLY was red trusted by Tomatocage after I messaged him to get it done. However, you look at the thread and so many people call him out as a scammer.

3) Lazlo - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=367551

RipDice Thread (read thru, you'll see the scam accusations): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=834371.0

Not enough is done to combat the scammers around here. The small time lending criminals are gotten everytime but the real scams, the ones who can do real damage of 4 figures or higher are often left unnoticed or ignored completely and hence I'm almost positive if Charlie Shrem or CoinHoarder came on here they could scam easily with their accounts. Why? Cause no one has followed through with the maintaining of their trust. The trust system works two ways: 1) to add/remove trust to those that get or earn the positive or negative and 2) To maintain current trust levels of members on a regular basis, especially ones assumed to be trusted by the system.

I'm leaving bitcoin for good, but thought I would write this out as it has been one thing I have hated about this forum for awhile now.
7  Economy / Invites & Accounts / [WTS] This account for 0.1516 BTC on: January 09, 2015, 12:27:25 AM
Selling this account for 0.1516 BTC (0.15 for me, 0.0016 for tx fee n Tomato's fee) for this account ONLY. Escrow through tomatocage is fine.

This account is enrolled in the bitmixer.io program and I am able to use it indefinitely because I was the first to sign up with them and have spoken with them about this since I have also used their services.

Trade will occur anytime after 11:30pm EST on Saturday January 10th because I am set to receive 0.035 payout already Saturday evening for my posts in the previous week. If you want it now (before then), you must pay 0.035 more.

ROI in less than a month, a great investment. PM me if interested or wish to make an offer. Thanks.

NOTE: If you make a stupid post that is obvious spam and you have a signature campaign going I will remove your post. All other posts will remain except for any posted by Vod.

10  Economy / Auctions / [Auction] This Account + Another Full Member/Senior/Hero Account on: January 07, 2015, 07:56:35 AM
If you don't want to read any about my thoughts or story and simply want to read auction details scroll down to the bold print.

To start: For all who knew me and did business with me whether recent or all the way when I first came here in 2013, I want to thank you. All but one transaction went smoothly and I'm happy for that (technically 2 since the escrow I handled between blazedout419 and a scammer had some hiccups).

Why am I doing this: I have been a degenerate gambler for a long time, many know this. I've even been to rehab. My addiction has come and gone over the past year but it is still not gone. Why? One word: Bitcoin. I love the people in the forum and would try to simply invest in the house or try my hand at alts or whatever but sports always would be there. Lingering for the moment I relapsed. Tonight I lost $100. But thats nothing, over the past 2 weeks I went from +$2000 to -$1250. But it was this $100 today that finally made me realize enough is enough after tough loss. I want my life back. I spend all day on my computer again like before rehab, I want to be the man my girlfriend deserves.

You wanna know whats crazy? I have 3 accounts, 2 of which are eligible for signature campaigns and I've been using them to fund two coins I bought. I keep trying to win $20 here or there to fund these. I thinks its magical of the idea of funding coins and not having funds I can touch. Its like a addicted gambler's dream, saving funds in a way you can't access. I can't lose them.

Not many of you have respect for me anymore and I understand it. I don't want to discuss what happened anymore, its been discussed enough and both sides have made their points clear. I just want out of bitcoin for good.

I'm selling this and my other account (at least full member) that in lucrative signature deals that net over 0.06 BTC weekly. This account while negative has special permission from bitmixer.io to be in their program as I was the first to join them and they know I've used their services multiple times. Thus, you can consider this account at least a full member account despite the negative rating.

To Tomatocage: I wish I was you. If the one bad deal hadn't happened I probably would be you. Working with you to stop scammers and help make bitcoin a better and more respected currency. Everyday I look for scammers and everyday I message you with my findings. We've marked quite a few scammers together. I hope you don't stop at what you do, you bring justice to this forum and do it in a way that is fair to all parties.

To Vod: While I don't disagree with your negative trusts, you don't give people the benefit of the doubt or view the evidence enough, you need to be more like Tomatocage and not mock people you mark too. I hold no ill will towards you but I will say I truly believe you should not be on the default trust list. Please respect my wishes and don't post in this thread. Please. I don't want drama.

I realized the thing that always brings me back to gambling is bitcoin. I want out as I said before so thus I'm selling two years of work, this account I treasured so dearly. I wish everyone the best I really do and despite me hopefully leaving bitcoin forever I hope all of you become rich and the coin takes off again like it did at the end of 2013.

I really wish you all the best and I thank you for all the laughs, comments, gestures and advice a lot of you have given me.

Finally: Gambling took all of what I had. Money, friends, family, you name it. 1.5 years ago I met someone who for the first in over 5 years gave a care about me. She's now my girlfriend today. I love her, she has distanced herself from my issue knowing that I do relapse sometimes but lately its been really bad. She's always there when I need her and I know she still somehow believes in me. I don't have much savings left but I plan on buying her a promise ring to give her on Valentine's day. I hope to marry her one day when we're in better positions, me both financially and emotionally. All of the money I get from this auction will go towards that ring. I don't deserve any money, but the one person who stopped me from killing myself a year ago (I came very close to dying and ended up in hospital) deserves to be shown how much she means to me. Although none of you care or know her, I wanted to dedicate this to her.

Auction:
Starting bid is 0.01 BTC. This includes both this account and the full/senior/hero account that has overall neutral trust all in one package. Tomatocage will oversea the escrow for the transfer of both accounts. Both accounts are enrolled in great signature campaigns

Higher bids must go up by 0.01 BTC increments at least. Auction will end at 7:59:59 ET on this Saturday, January 10th. Transfer of accounts will be made later around midnight (I get my final signature payment around 11:30pm EST). To prevent sniping, all bids extend the auction by 10 minutes if made at the end.

Any other questions, let me know via PM, but my goal is not to be on this forum at all the next few days so it might take time for a reply. I need to do a lot of work on getting back on track and bitcoin isn't good for me.
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bleeding2323 is a sold account BEWARE - Clubsofsteel is a scammer also on: January 07, 2015, 12:30:37 AM
I won the auction for a full member account for 0.051 BTC here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=912106.0

The full account being sold is bleeding2323:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=190247

I asked to use escrow because clubsofsteel is a newbie. Even offered to use localbitcoins or an escrow on this site. He refused to use escrow and told me I had to send first. He told me he would use localbitcoins but then when someone posted an offer a day after that auction had ended for 0.06 BTC he went and sold the account to that user. I was the winner of the auction but he disobeyed his own rules and sold it to someone else. Thus he lied and scammed me and is untrustworthy.

He said plain as day in his auction thread that he accepted the use of escrow. He did not. He is a scammer.

I won the auction and thus, he is a scammer since he would not complete the trade and sold it to someone else. He is untrustworthy. Here are the screenshots:

Telling me I won the auction.

Telling me okay to localbitcoins

Informing me that he has sold the account to someone whose bid was AFTER the auction was over. For 0.06 tx, ID included below.

Tx ID of the person he sold it to:
https://blockchain.info/tx/947aabef1bf6247e68eb512d1300b00d055d55bb63ea25f9121456c442c28669

After the user said he wasn't willing to use localbitcoins all of a sudden I offered to use a trusted escrow here. My only intentions with the account was to use it for the awesome signature campaigns available today. I was fine with someone knowing it was under my control and know that it was KOS who had the account.

12  Economy / Invites & Accounts / [WTB] Full Member Account or above for 0.051 BTC on: January 06, 2015, 11:54:11 PM
Let me know if you want to sell. Account will be used for signature campaigns or reselling of the account. Account must not have a negative overall trust rating. If the account has other negatives, my interest in the account will be made on a case by case basis.

If you post in this thread USING the account you are trying to sell to me, I will immediately decline buying the account. Please PM if interested in selling your account.

Account must have at least 120 activity or be a full member. We will use Localbitcoins or another escrow service for this purchase and I will pay the fee (assuming its 1%).

Thread is self-moderated for the removal of any posts by Vod.

13  Other / Off-topic / Imagine you're on a $1500 budget for a couple's vacation, where do you go? on: January 06, 2015, 07:02:59 PM

14  Other / Off-topic / Starting a business that involves webcam - I NEED HELP! on: January 05, 2015, 05:35:23 AM
Starting a business that will be recording me live. I need to know what the best software out there is for webcamming. I was looking at one product (I forget the name, trying to remember) that cost $499 which was outrageous.

What I need:
-To be able to stream live
-To be able to record videos for playback later and easily be able to upload these videos to youtube
-Mac Accessbility (a lot of software I've found only works for Windows)
-Allow me to switch from webcam viewing to showing what is on my computer screen live (this is the biggest part, I can't seem to find software that allows me to switch from webcam viewing to showing my audience what I am doing on my computer screen)

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate. The bolded requirement has been my hardest piece so far to find. It would be nice to find this as I'm not too computer savvy.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Do not use Coin.mx on: January 05, 2015, 05:24:54 AM
The support is incompetent. I was charged for more than I was supposed to be and a month later a suspicous/fraud charge was put on my CC coming from the same country as the first orginating charge.

DO NOT use the site. Anyone else have awful experience with them please share here.
16  Other / Off-topic / What ever happened to Goat - the rich guy who bought the lambo here for BTC on: January 04, 2015, 09:44:26 PM
What happened to Goat? The dude was a prick and I remember he owed someone thousands but claimed he could repay whenever so that could be 20 years from now or whatever.

Curious as to know what happened there and if he ever got sued (or did he get killed?)?
17  Economy / Service Discussion / So what happens when the gift card you bought was illegally purchased ? on: January 04, 2015, 09:14:31 AM
Here's my question, and until I understand this fully I won't ever buy gift cards online cause of this.

Here's two scenarios:
1) you buy a $100 Starbucks gift card and use it fully, then it gets reversed for stolen CC
2) you buy a $500 amazon gift card and use it and then later find out it was reversed

What happens?
My guess is one of the following:
1) they send the debt you owe to collections
2) they come after you for the debt
3) they call the police on you
Or the unlikely
4) they write it off as a loss for the company and you walk away free of any punishment.

Anyone have experience with such a situation? I'm curious to hear about it. I would like to buy things discounted but I'm too afraid of getting arrested or taken to collections for something that wasn't my fault.

Look forward to hearing stories or thoughts on this!
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Purse.io - why offer BTC purchases if they don't have the funds to complete it?? on: January 04, 2015, 05:11:53 AM
I just went on Purse.io (never actually used them before) and tried making a purchase for someone that totals $29.81 and yet when I went to click "purchase" it said person had insufficient funds...so WHY offer that sale in the first place? If they don't have the funds it shouldn't be in your list of available wish lists to purchase. Makes ZERO sense. Kind of upset about the whole thing, theres nothing I can buy sadly right now like I was hoping to do for a meager 0.10.

Anyone have positive experience with purse.io?

Oh and who pays for shipping or is shipping always free?
19  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] 0.10-0.20 BTC - Can buy whatever you want online or wherever on: January 04, 2015, 04:52:04 AM
Need 0.10-0.20 BTC. I'll buy whatever you like on wherever or a gift card or something. Let me know.

People who know me know I'm not going to cause any trouble over 0.10, my name and info are already out there on the web.

Let me know if you can help. Thank you. I will go first for anyone with decent reputation otherwise we use escrow.

PLEASE NOTE: This thread is self-moderated to enforce the rule that Vod cannot post in my threads.
