61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: June 08, 2017, 02:14:26 PM
Guys, i made a small fortune in altcoin/bitcoin. In which country should i settle ?
I have no wife, no kids, just a girlfriend, iŽm free to go wherever i want (sheŽll go with me).
But it has to be a bitcoin-friendly country.
I have no intention to buy lambos, just a peaceful life.
Thanks.

Oh, and my age is 53, that makes a difference too.
I heard that switzerland has become a bitcoin friendly country. So you could settle there as its full of tourist spots.Or else, you could try an european country which provides tax exemption for bitcoins.

Thats a good option if the fortune is enough to retire on in a rich country because Switzerland is an extremely expensive place to live in plus you need several millions to get a permanent visa there as an investor. In reality its much easier to get long term visas in poorer countries than it is rich ones plus its much cheaper to get by in those countries. I would suggeset SE Asia like Thailand or the Philippines because at the end of the day its easy to cash out of bitcoin regardless of where you live in the world.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any coins being pumped at the moment? on: June 08, 2017, 02:11:19 PM
Everyone will have their own favourite coins or tokens. Generally what causes a pump is either a market trend pushing everything up or its a rumour/news that came out. For some of the smaller coins of course you also have manipulation.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: June 08, 2017, 02:08:59 PM

I believe in that, quite positively if bitcoin prices will soar 15 next year ..

It may happen in the future since bitcoin been so popular and adopt by many countries.
Butcoin will never replace dollar even years comes it will remain bitcoin and it will remain currency that can use around internet it will be the new generation however it will use to physical but not totaly it will also use in other thing like ahopping etc.

Todays world revolve around technolgy but dollar already proven its capability and btc have its own trend so they are both needed.

Thats the thing a lot of especially the hardcore bitcoiners think fiat currencies are going to be gone in some years but few of them are looking at it objectively. In reality fiat has its uses as does bitcoin and neither is can replace the other.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: June 08, 2017, 02:07:40 PM
I now no longer trust in online investment. If you want to really invest mending looking for real because online is very vulnerable to fraud. And the more sophisticated mode seoalah though can not cheat
True i ever trust those fraud site investment who are promising big comeback of our money when we do invest our money to them it its like you are waiting for your money to disappear, If you are looking for an good money income source maybe trading or invest you money wth bitcoin by holding it tho.

altcoin is currently good to be investing, or join to their project like ICO. most of them are successful and benefit very much.
and never try to invest in HYIP or cloud mining, it will obviously be a scam.

Invest on ICO has big risk compared with directly trade on exchanges because sometimes the project fail in the end or fail on the execution so it might better to check the roadmap and the team who involved in this project.

Of course you need to do your research but you also need to spread out your investment to multiple projects because no matter how well you think a coin will perform no one can predict the future. If you invest in 20 ICOs and just one of them goes up 1000 times the original investment you will still be rich.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, Stop Calling Bitcoin "Digital Gold" on: June 08, 2017, 02:01:05 PM
We definitely need a real solution to the rising fees and I agree a lot of people seem to have their heads in the sand rationalizing everything bad like its good, but I don't think it really matters how they label bitcoin.

Without a proper solution to the scaling crisis other coins will soon overtake btc, ethereum is currently the top contender for that spot.

It just looks like there is more to say from the poster and that this was all meant to garner the attention and set the stage, we shall see. I think Bitcoin is not a Digital Gold but only a Digital Currency.

Well i got to admit i call it digital gold many times. But in my defense physical gold is mined and so is btc or other altcoins. We sell them to traders like physical gold also. It is not that i am ignorant but it is not really what is called rather it is just a metaphor for its counterpart. Personally i know it as cryptocurrency or as youu stated, digital currency. If it is wrong to call it like that then i would make changes.

I do the same thing, and its not that I mean bad or am blind to the current problems it just makes things easier to explain to people using such metaphors.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: June 08, 2017, 01:57:02 PM
I sold about 25% of my eth last week and doubled down on this coin.

Looking at their rock solid roadmap, clear use cases and previous performance I am yet to regret it, even if I am a little down in the short term.
you made one hell of a decision good one. This coin has so much more room to grow and will, such a great team with strat, only problem I have is I can't get enough

I have some stratis but thinking if I should get more especially after its dropped quite a bit from its high. I know its hard to time the market but it seems like they are at a good discount to accumulate more currently.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how are alt coins decentralised? on: June 08, 2017, 01:54:14 PM
Most are centralised until the "final" stage of the product is released. After that they aren't supposed to function any different than bitcoin or litecoin.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way to Send Someone a Tip? on: June 08, 2017, 12:12:34 PM
Dogecoin, obviously.

I prefer to send the wallet credentials along with the tip, this way I don't need to ask them to create a dogecoin wallet, to wait for him to do it, waste time again and send the tip. I just hand them the doges. Smiley

A paper wallet (or pdf version of one) works great for this purpose.

As for the currency it can really be almost anything but coins that are likely to gain a lot of value will ultimately be more appreciated by the user especially if they aren't cashing it out fast and after all who would want to cash out fast for a few dollars anyway.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 08, 2017, 12:08:47 PM
For me it depends what I do, if I'm sending a small amount then I use low fees, if I'm sending a large amount I tend to use higher fees.

It obviously depends more than just on the raw amount, some purchases are time sensitive so it really depends on what I intend to do with that money but I'm not wasteful so unless I need it fast I use lower fees.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie creating a portfolio on: June 08, 2017, 12:07:12 PM
Thank you   Wink

Believe me, I've banged my head against the wall too many times from trading lol.
Flipped all my ZEC into XRP, hopefully it was the right move    Huh

This is the biggest problem with trading, make a wrong move and you realize you should have just waited. On the other hand if you don't trade you bang your head for staying too long in a coin.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you feel when win in gambling? on: June 08, 2017, 12:06:01 PM
I feel excitement and satisfaction.

I sure hope everyone feels excited and satisfied to win money. Do you feel tempted to gamble more after a win though?
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Bitcointalk Community, please change your perspective about Bitcoin! on: June 08, 2017, 12:00:45 PM
I'm writing this post because I see it everywhere on this forum. People who just talk about Bitcoin pump(s), $ price, € price and so on... even most legendary members do it!

I think most Bitcoin users miss what Bitcoin really is and what Satoshi wanted it to be.
If you read the white paper, there's no mention about Bitcoin as a digital asset. Satoshi just wanted to create a payment system, a strong one and much better than the traditional ones.

But right now, Bitcoin is mainly considered as a digital asset, digital gold, just an investment tool to make (quick) profit. That's wrong, in my opinion.

I think Bitcoin users are raping Satoshi's original view, thinking only about BTC's value on exchanges.

Bitcoin was created to allow us to do anything we want, what Satoshis original view was is completely irrelevant to me.

However I do agree with several of your points, mainly what bugs me is that the fees are ridiculous and limit what I can do with bitcoin.

A world where you can send money anywhere and to anyone in the world, instantly and with low fees.
I completely agree with this and this is what attracts me to the concept of bitcoin

A world where you can buy anything using Bitcoin, from coffees to yatchs.

Again it would be ideal, but the only way it can be done now is via exchanging services, nothing is done purely in terms of bitcoin

A world where you can get all the privacy you want.

I see bitcoin as more than this, it gives individuals the privacy we want while it could also allow us to track what government officials do with their money if we tracked them on the blockchain

A world without banks.
I don't want a world without banks as they give me loans which I couldn't get elsewhere, their services are needed for several other reasons too bitcoin or not

A world without old currencies, that only create inflation.
Bitcoin is currently more inflationary than the US dollar, inflation itself is not a bad thing

A world where you pay only the taxes you wanna pay and not what you are forced to pay.
Taxes are a rent on our society that allows it to function, you wouldn't tell your landlord that he cannot ask you to pay your rent would you?

73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 08, 2017, 11:53:36 AM
I would like to think of bitcoin as sound money but with the current issues and high transaction fees I can only see it as an asset similar to any other assets I own.

As it is right now its only useful to earn money and an exchange is always required to do anything useful with it.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to buy BTC, LTC, ETH on: June 08, 2017, 11:52:13 AM
Hi Guys,

what is right now the best way to exchange fiat money via wiretransfer or creditcard for BTC, LTC, ETH? What are the most respected and long time available exchanges?
Is there also a DEX i can buy via fiat?

Thanks
MM

I generally buy bitcoins on Bitstamp and trade for other currencies on bittrex or poloniex (if I need high liquidity). The exchange fees are minimal and you don't pay anything to deposit via wire transfer. Bitstamp allows you to deposit via creditcard but charges you insane fees over 10% so I don't recommend it.

I believe the above method is the way to get lowest fees. Total fees should be under 1% if you deposit by wiretransfer.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex XRP withdrawal issue on: June 08, 2017, 11:47:57 AM
Its passed one month I am trying to contact Poloniex Support Team but till now they have not reply my tickets.

The issue is that i did XRP withdrawal but thrice the status is Complete Error.

The XRP is not been received to the receiving address and not refunded back to me on the account.

Please help me with my problem.

Keep trying to contact them and open new tickets if they don't respond. Their support is embarassingly backlogged and thousands are having a similar issue to yours.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to deposit from paper wallet on exchange? on: June 08, 2017, 11:46:38 AM
Import the private key into an online or desktop wallet and transfer from there, exchanges don't let u import the private keys directly.
77  Economy / Services / Re: [FREE] Speed up BTC unconfirmed transaction to confirmed on: June 07, 2017, 12:11:14 PM

I will speed up unconfirmed BTC transaction to confirmed via AntPool mining pool for free.

Send me in PM your unconfirmed transaction.

If you want make donation ask me payments methods.

I always online from 05:00 UTC till 20:00 UTC

I don't have any unconfirmed transactions but the bitcoin community needs more people like you willing to help out with these problems and its particularly bad for new users who don't understand how fees work.

Thank you sincerely OP.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: RIP Poloniex Trollbox on: June 07, 2017, 12:00:56 PM
Lol it was just waiting for this to happen....too many people which were spamming a little bit too much

The more popular altcoin trading got the more users they had concurrently and the more spam there was. It used to at least be readable despite all the spam but lately it was just a big blur from all the people writing.
79  Economy / Exchanges / Re: No more Trollbox at Poloniex on: June 07, 2017, 11:04:35 AM
The trollbox always bothered me, they should have just opened it on a separate page for people who wanted to chat. Hopefully now support will be faster since mods aren't wasting time on silly bans and reminders.

I shudder to think of how much time they wasted on such a useless tool. There are usually multiple mods on and at all hours of the day, think of how many support tickets they will now be able to answer instead of banning pump and dump spammers all day long.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can u lose with gambling? on: June 07, 2017, 11:03:30 AM
If it comes to loosing then sky is the limit for loosing in gambling as more you gamble more you loose so there cannot be any fixed amount of loosing and it will depend on what amount you use for gambling.

Exactly, I've on occasion lost my entire life savings and had I had more money I would have lost much more still. For me the maximum has been about $10000 but I could have easily made 100k from that 10k and lost the 100k straight after.
