301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin STILL Good Investment? (Think Again) on: November 20, 2019, 11:25:32 AM
Bitcoin investment will continue to remain one of the best investment platform in which if you invest at the right time you will earn good return on your investment both within a short and long term. Please note that you are to invest in a "good time" which means there a time you invest and you will invest and it will turn against your position.

303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you holding Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2019, 08:57:06 PM
In one year, most of Bitcoin's rally usually occurred within a few days. Therefore, the "Hold Bitcoin" strategy is still considered the best, according to Binance Research.

In fact, in one year, the pump for Bitcoin only happened in a few short days, and most of the rest was sideway. Therefore, it is easy for investors to miss the pump if they are not regularly watching the market.

How about you? Are you holding Bitcoin
I agree with you on some of your point but the major problem people/ investors do have is greedy mind set that usually make some of us feel that the pump is not over yet  and before we know it the market will start declining.

I am holding Bitcoin and some other altcoins with the believe that after halving next year my investment will bring bumper return.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top Crypto for 2020 on: November 19, 2019, 10:27:25 AM
Many people speculate like that, crypto will rise in the coming year. But all these speculations are not necessarily true because the crypto market is currently still suffering. bitcoin prices are still not stable and later in May 2020 there will be halving bitcoin. Maybe this will have an effect. Holding some altcoin and bitcoin for now is still possible and held until the market improves.
I don't think in time soon there will be stability in the market value of crypto currency as a result of the influence by the force that usually influence crypto market values, if it will ever happen.
To OP, there are strong speculation that after halving come year 2020 there will be an increase in the market of of Bitcoin and that will affect positively on all other altcoins and I so much believe in this speculation and that is why am still holding my ethereum and other altcoins.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what are the best altcoin which gives 2x profit in 1year on: November 19, 2019, 09:44:00 AM
If you a good trader you should be able to make 2x profit in your trade for a period of one year. Am saying this because there is no guarantee that if you just buy one particular altcoins and hold for a period of one year but if you can be trading it within the period on one year you should be able to make profit more than 2x at the end.

Is not only applicable in your country but the whole of African countries and some other developing countries of the world. Politicians in Africa are self centered, corrupt and they lack leadership quality and they the system in such a way that good people with good intentions will not be able to attain any of such position expecially if you are in there group.

Sadly, yes. It happens everywhere. In some countries the electorate has very little choice. I'm lucky that in my country the electorate is able to vote freely. The problem in the UK at least is that many people have a sufficiently good standard of living that they couldn't really care about politics. They will vote according to whichever way the tabloid press and TV news (and carefully curated social media feeds) pull them, rather than voting after carefully considering the pros and cons of each argument from their own independent viewpoint.
UK is a develop country and cannot in any way be compared to any of the African countries. I would have love to say one day some African country will get to such level in terms of politics and development but sadly, I don't think it will ever happen in decades to come because the level of corruption in African countries is so high that they can't even feed themselves despite the fact that they have all the resources at their disposal.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: scalping on margin on: November 14, 2019, 08:04:56 PM
You really managed to find a good entry point, I would even say no to no. But what do you plan to do next? Margin trading is very dangerous, I lost a lot of money on it.
Even in combination with scalping, which is less risky than regular trading, margin increases risks many times over.
I am currently in a short trade with x10 leverage. Let's see what happens.

308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start trading with 2 BTC? What is the first step? on: November 14, 2019, 07:43:56 PM
Trading with 2bitcoin is huge sum of money and that can earn you good profit if you are smart in trading but since you are new in crypto Currency trading I will advise you to spend more in learning trading with a small amount of money till when you can consistently make good profit from your trading at the end of the day before you put huge sum of money.

310  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Overpopulation of a developing country is one of its major problem on: November 14, 2019, 10:53:30 AM
In my view, I don't think that over population of the developing countries of the world that is the major problem but mismanagement of their resources human resources inclusive, corruption and bad leadership are the are the main reason why they remain underdeveloped till today. In most of these countries you will see that corruption is a lucrative business.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Change in Prices on Bitcoin's utility as Currency on: November 13, 2019, 07:22:14 PM
My good friend you have made a good analysis of how people react to there usage of Bitcoin any time the market value of Bitcoin is speculated to increase or is expected that its market value is expected to decline.
The bottom line is that most people that holders of Bitcoin are at all time expecting profit from the amount of Bitcoin they are holding and that is the main reason they behave that way.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ? on: November 13, 2019, 10:27:54 AM
What happens if BTC is still rally to 100K ?
ALTS ?? dump to zero
at the moment BTC sideways until end of the year

this time currently the last choice for ALTs
take actions or die..!!!

good luck
If Bitcoin market value increase from its current value to $100,000 then we should expect it will come with both positive and negative effect. Positive effect will be that holders will now have much money and there will more positive news in the mainstream media and possibly more demand for Bitcoin, many altcoins will have an increase in there market value as compared to what it is today. Negative effect could be that transaction fees will skyrocket just like what happened in the year 2017.
313  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes every crypto trader should avoid on: November 13, 2019, 09:29:11 AM
I want to react to your second point you mentioned above which is in relation to how one should trust his or her strategy. One thing we should know is that strategy doesn't necessarily depends on the take profit and stop loss that exist on the system because some of us work with strategy that we do take profit manually and stop losses manually.
314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 08, 2019, 09:19:01 AM
OP,first of all you need to forget the peak value of a coin you are holding, just remember what is the price of that coin when you bought it,if its still $1300 then you need to hold it longer or you bought it before that peak price which may near your current price then you are not really in any serious loss but you were just regretting about your missed profits.Yes in all cases it is not going to be profitable but if you have time frame of more than 3 years then chances are high.
I bought my ethereum when its Market price was as at $1,300 and since then its market value is yet to increase more than my entry point. If you are saying I should hold for like three years that is okay but what I don't understand from your submission is that are counting the three years you advise from 2017 or from now upword.
315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 08, 2019, 04:16:19 AM
Should I continue holding my ethereum? Am a believer of long time holding but am currently beginning to lose faith due to fact that I have been experiencing constant decline in my major coins that I have been holding since late 2017. The coin in question is ethereum which I have been holding since when its value was around $1,300 and now its value is now less than $200 per one.
Should I continue holding my ethereum?
If you are really use free money, money that you wouldn't use to daily life, like what people should do in investment, i think there are no more choice except hold it and hope. It is right most of long term holding is profitable, but it all depends on what price that we bought. Trading and investment is not only buy sell and hold. But analysis is needed so people not buy in high price like this.
Well, I didn't just buy hold but I seriously took into consideration the analysis of what the market value of ethereum will be in the nearest as at that time and  that was the reason. I was believing that ethereum value will move to like $10,000 as it was speculated and Bitcoin was said to be heading towards $50,000 but just that I have learned hard lesson to what do speculate here in this forum.

Idk what to say about another coins but still I share the same thoughts on bitcoin, ethereum and on some other ones. Can't 100% surely say that on ethereum but for me on bitcoin it's like a gold rule: Bitcoin will always surpass it's all time high. Was it once 20K? It will be 21 next time, not maybe in 1-2 months but maybe in some years. So to my mind long term holding is profitable, for bitcoin's situation, halving gives me that high hopes cause price went from 600$ to 20k after halving, slowly but it went and was amazing.
Personally I would hold ethereum too or at least sell that when price will rise a little bit to not get serious loss from it.
You should equally be aware that the high transaction fee of Bitcoin in the year 2017 was one of the factor that led to high demand for ethereum and consequently creat an increase in the market value of ethereum because its transaction fee was very small as compared to that of Bitcoin. Will that kind of scenario ever happen again in the future particularly now that there are no more ICO project as compared to what we had in the past.

~snip
I appreciate your respon but to answer to one of your question in your first paragraph I will say the market value of ethereum has never increase more than $1,300 since the time I have been holding my ethereum. I don't want to sell at lose and that is the reason why am still holding just that am currently losing faith.

That's a tough spot you are in.

Are you losing faith because of the time it's taking for the price to reach $1,300 or because of the delays in development?
If it's the former, then just patiently wait. I don't think it would go lower than its ATL.
If it's the latter, then you might want to consider selling. Holding on to a project you no longer believe in will only stress you out.

Consider also storing those eth safely in a hardware wallet and forget that you ever bought some.
Many thanks for your kind advise for I so much believe that your advice is not difficult from what I can do since that investment is not the only capital that I have to leave on. For now I have to put that behind me and just assumed it is a lost and one of those things that do happen to one investment and maybe one day I will smile.
318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 07, 2019, 01:15:49 PM
You said you've been holding your eth since it was 1,300 or so, within that time and now there have been times when it surpassed that amount and if you had sold then, would have given you profits, no matter how small. The goal of investment is indeed profit as you know, but selling it right now, you're surely incurring nothing but losses.

If you're a believer in long term investment, as you said, then you should continue holding your eth, at least till it reaches the price you had initially bought it for, and if so kindly surpass it, just do not sell when you'll be on the losing end, it's bad business(investment), except of course you can't do without the ROI right now.
