350  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: October 14, 2014, 10:31:06 PM
I've just had a long chat with espringe on skype.  For his benefit, it does look like he confronted me directly with these accusations before making them public.  Unfortunately, I never got those messages, and to top it off my skype account was apparently hacked some time in the last few days, and I've just regained control of it.

I don't think Eric has anything to do with this, the evidence he found does appear pretty damning.

I'll let you all draw your own conclusions.  I have my suspicions as to who might have been targeting me for so long, and why.

I guess it's a good thing I wasn't able to register the username mateo over on primedice the other day, lol.
Just post your suspicions and the reasons then the internet detectives can get to work  Wink

Edit: the mateo refence meaning that manl/dicebitco has something to do with it?
351  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 14, 2014, 10:25:18 PM
So it seems our little friend AKCoinMiner very well could have been the owner of Dice.Ninja, DarkDice, and JPCDice who was gambling investors money and had to close shop when he lost everything on PrimeDice. There is a story on it forming Here Thanks to the owner of MoneyPot.

Hmm... to me this does not seem likely at all after talking to Joe/AK. However, I will read the post you linked to before I say any more.
Well, no real hard evidence yet either way and AK actually comes across as innocent in the way he is responding in that thread imho. Unlike most scammers he doesn't dish out the usual obvious lies/deceptions but flat out denies it and confirms, or is the first to bring, some things to light that incriminate him more (like the ip addresses).

EDIT: Also want to say that it is probably real hard to prove your innocent, especially on the anonymous internet where you can have any identies you want.
352  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: October 14, 2014, 10:14:40 PM
2) AK could sign a btc address showing he has a lot of coins. He could choose an address not linked to DN. If he does this then that is an indication he doesn't need the DN btc. This obviously depends on him willing to do this and I don't know if I would if I were him.

If the address would show that he HAD a lot of BTC before August when dice.ninja showed up, and kept it throughout, that's a fairly substantial argument in AK's favor IMHO. If it only shows that he had coins but doesn't anymore, or that he now has coins but didn't before, that would still leave a lot of questions.
Obviously several scenarios could arise if ak signs such an address but I was thinking of the first scenario you described here. Furthermore if AK reallly is the big whale able to loose 800 btc on PD then unless he is a real degen that should only represent a small percentage of his total amount of btc. What i'm getting at here is that somebody who has say 10k btc is less likely to scam for 2k than somebody who has 50. Ofcourse, as we all know there is no end to greed in this world so it wouldn't be hard evidence...
353  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: October 14, 2014, 09:08:35 PM
So far the only thing is clear - both versions of the story are even harder to believe than before. Turns out espringe/dooglus don't have much beyond the IPs and AK is holding his line. Stalemate?
Pretty much.

Besides the whole IP address debate I can think of two things that might show some light on this:

1) Stunna checks where the btc came from that AK lost on PD. Difficulty here is that some of those btc are sure to originate from the withdrawal AK made from DN. But some or even a large part might not and if thats the case then that is an indication AK has nothing to do with it.

2) AK could sign a btc address showing he has a lot of coins. He could choose an address not linked to DN. If he does this then that is an indication he doesn't need the DN btc. This obviously depends on him willing to do this and I don't know if I would if I were him.

Both things aren't going to deliver 100% proof either way but only an indication. FWIW AK is the first accused scammer I've seen on here that responds as an actual innocent person so I tend to believe him for now.

all imho ofcourse.
354  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Someone is sending fake Bitmaintech emails with attached wallet stealer on: October 14, 2014, 02:05:03 PM
About a month a go I was getting these spam emails with a jar attached from knc, cointerra and cloudhashing. Never registered with two of them so I'm guessing my emailaddress was leaked from somewhere else.

recently i started getting phising emails from various well known businesses such as btc-e , minereu , and many other exchange sites.

Not sure if it is only me but is there something i am missing? I will get about 4-5 a week. Anyone else having this same problem?

There's been so many bitcoin site hacks over the years that if you've been in it long enough it's all but guaranteed you have an email on a list somewhere.  If you're lucky, you used a throw-away/spam only address.  MtGox and Bitstamp both had database compromises that at the very least dumped a complete list of all their users emails on multiple occasions.

Just be careful about opening attachments as usual (aka: don't do it).  I probably get about a dozen a week with .jar files attached pretending to be invoices/miner screenshots.
Also, btctalk was ofcourse hacked a while back so not surprising my emailaddress is out there.

Also, this spam/phishing with jar files is nothing new:

355  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: October 14, 2014, 11:46:19 AM
With respect to figuring out how much hashrate Asicminer has deployed I find myself intrigued by the following information about a mining operation that started in June:

http://mempool.info/pool/pool34

It's all speculation ofcourse but the amount of blocks found by this supposed entity equates to around 20 PH/s which would be in the ballpark for Asicminer self mining. 60 PH/s of asics made by AM, part of which was sold and part used for self mining and some left to deploy/sell...

356  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 13, 2014, 11:00:37 PM
in my country 0.1 is a month's pay
will say no more
edit: i can no longer see just-dice
Just-dice isn't functional anymore but was the most popular until a few months ago; it had something like 50,000 btc invested from players. The owner, Dooglus, shut it down (paying out every last satoshi of invested and player balances!) because as I undertood it he couldn't deal with the responsibility and/or legal situation.

I can understand that for some people 0.1 btc is a lot but i'm talking WHALES here. You know, the people who bet huge amounts like AKcoinminer (profit of +500 btc one day and -700 btc the next) or that guy from just-dice who bet 300 btc a bet (edit: nakowa I think it was). For those people the faucet is utterly meaningless. That's why I mentioned it. Besides, why would a site want a whale to originate from the faucet; that would mean they would loose btc on that player  Wink

I think it is great for people that don't have a lot of money that there is a faucet and I think it should stay but on the other hand I can see that something needs to change with regard to the spamming of the chat and the support emails. What that change needs to be I don't know but let's hope it is something everybody can live with.
357  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 13, 2014, 10:35:11 PM
I think that there are very very few whales that started out with the faucet. My point is that for me, and i'm not a whale, the amount you can bet with the faucet just doesn't do it for me in terms of gambling buzz. I'd rather deposit 0.1 to try out a site then use the faucet. Furthermore, most dice sites do just fine without faucet and still attract the whales (see just-dice). That being said, I am in favor of a faucet but just not for the reason you're advocating.

Really, when was the ipo then? Thought it was around august 2012 but obviously it must have been earlier then. Damn, need to brush up my math skills  Embarrassed forgot to do times .1  Grin
359  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 13, 2014, 09:52:57 PM

im pretty sure there isnt a whale on the site that didnt try the faucet first
Most whales don't need the faucet and don't give a shit about the few satoshis it dispenses... I know I don't and i'm by no means a whale (yet)
360  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 13, 2014, 09:45:07 PM
