What effects, both positive and negative, does the fact that a substantial proportion of people that invest or get involved with Bitcoin in the first place, have the intention of making profit in a fiat currency as their primary objective? There are many people who do not fall within this category and many, who start in this manner, that then take on other ideals and ambitions. There are also many who want to "cash in, cash out".

You should throw in diceliteco.in into the gambling section.

This 'facebook user' has uploaded nearly 300 photos of all on the same day and all of themself! Either selfies or someone else taking the photo. The vast majority have only the girl in the picture. No timeline before 2 days ago when they started this post.
If this isnt a fake account then the girl in question would be rather narcissistic IMO - I mean who takes that many pictures of themselves all in one go doing different poses??
Fake account for sure.

Aha, I just remembered. There is actually a problem where you click "next" and the next site doesn't show the added balance from the previous one. What you have to do then is to not close the previous tab, and click next once again. It's a known issue.
Yes I can also remember this annoying bug. I also remember sometimes even I clicked once again on previous tab the balance was still not added. BTW, anyone tried its referral system? Does it work or just a "scam"? The referral system does seem to work, but payouts per offer are so low at the minute that it's hardly worth the bother.

Welcome! If your using a GPU for mining then I wouldn't mine Bitcoin. Choose a scrypt coin (such as Litecoin) instead. Alternatively you could think about cloud mining or investing in ASIC technology.

Not sure about this one, but wouldn't use a faucet that asked for a phone number, seems dodgy.

that is a well-maintained list
Portnoy's "FREE BITCOIN Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto" thread is still the best list of Free BTC sites available. Well done Portnoy for your hard work. Thank you and thank you... Not a problem, you do an outstanding job.

So taps is the new slang for faucets is it, noted. 'Faucet' is the American version of the British word 'tap'. There aren't any faucets anywhere in the UK, they are all taps. I know what a tap is, I was born and have lived in UK all my life. I just never related the free BTC giving kind (e.g. faucet) with the water kind (e.g. tap)!

An offline QT is a good place to store Litecoin.
