I can't seem to find what the total number of coins will be.... 5M-22M?? ~darylluke. official numbers will be revealed in the announcement thread. here are some general numbers. after 2 years there will be a total of 21m coins, then there will be a switch to Proof-of-Bergstake, and I believe there will be 2m new coins each year for 20+ years. so there will be total of 21m coins that have Bergstake rights, and around 60m additional coins generated with those 21m Bergstake rights. total BRO coins will be 14m at launch, 21m after 2 years and around 80m after 20+ years. this is an estimate, will get back with concrete numbers.

Looking forward to the specs and ICO price. Hopefully theyre good. I dont like ICOs but this might be the most promising ICO coin.
Hi cryptoholic11, Thank you for your interest in BRO! The coins purchased at the ICO will come with Bergstake. After the ICO, there will be a 2 year PoW mining phase to insure a fair distribution of Bergstake before going full PoS. How are you going to ensure the ICO is fair? If there is one thing I know about poker players, it's that if there is an edge they will take it. How can we guard against one of the pros swooping up the entire ICO in one order. I can easily see that happening. Do you know about how much BTC you are looking to raise? What % of the total supply will be in the ICO? details will come shortly. there will be enough coins to go around. the way it will be structured, it wont be possible for anyone purchase all the initial coins. My mistake. I think I know how it's going to be structured. You will probably just divvy up the coins in proportion to the amount of BTC each person buys? yes, there will be an allotment of coins for entire initial offering.

The first question that comes to mind is how does one prevent the transfer of the bergstake? its not a currency, its locked onto the original address, so only way to transfer is to share the private-key. So what happens when the original bergstake holders die? I can see an attack here. Sell heavily discounted mining equipment to people with very low life expectancy, wait for them to die and then launch the attack. it becomes an inheritance. seriously, if this is the only attack, we are in great shape!

I'm not sure why you're unaware of Danny Johnson if you're trying to marry poker with crypto... seems like he'd be someone you'd at least be aware of.
interesting, does he have a coin? first ive heard of him.. been doing fantasy sports and crypto for a minute... some of us have been watching wsop since before moneymaker nice to see a new character .. will be watching. Yes, he is the person behind PINK coin, he's been in crypto for several months at least. hard to keep up, been on this forum for over 3 years. this place really needs a redesign.. i dont know how anyone can read 2100 pages on each thread. been a while since I actually watched poker...

can mine with CPU ? i am not up to date, is there open source GPU miner yet ? i didnt even read OP let me guess Premine ? or heavy insta-mine ?
small pre-mine. first coin to use Bergstake - a Proof-of-Stake algorithm. its CryptoNote , PoW for 2 years, with CryptoNight based hashing algo then changes to Bergstake, a pure Proof-of-Stake algorithm, that solves all the known PoS issues. CrytpoNote = CPU mining. Its supposed to be GPU resistant, in that GPU is not much faster then CPU. but for those who already have many GPUs, I believe there is an open source miner.

fyi... this project works great for American Football due to specific US federal laws regarding fantasy football... however.. Is a Premier League (football) one possible? This seems really quite different so not sure how it actually works but would be really interested in setting something up.
is there a notion of projecting how many goals / assists / blocks an individual Futball player scores? are there any "fantasy" Futball leagues? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasy_sportif yes, then its the same, and it can be done. A possible use would be free bets at a gambling site which would provide financing for it (just a thought)
go get the financing!

How many people are in the Fantasybits community... I admit I'm intrigued.
only a handful, its a work in progress. to join just tweet : "#fantasyfootball @satoshifantasy" , and your twitter id with be your fantasyname. I am trying to get something ready for kickoff Sept 3. Currently there are a couple of issues. 1) fantasy players in general are not ready to manage their own id/key with wallet software. solution is a central web-site. 2) there is no cost to joining, so to prevent bot/sybil attack, a "tweet of proof" is required. currently working on a wallet and also looking for help for central website. may offer a bountry for website. http://fantasybit.com/media/WebSiteSpecifications.pdfwill have more info shortly.

Two separate block-chain projects:
1) Satoshi Fantasy / FantasybitSatoshi Fantasy is a block-chain based fantasy football prediction market. Fantasybit is the coin within the Satoshi Fantasy blockchain. Fantasybit uses a new and unique "Proof-of-Skill" block-chain. US law explicitly defines fantasy sports as skill, and is not considered gambling. It is 100% is legal. Fantasybits are a monetization of a fantasy football players skill in predicting future outcomes. The Satoshi Fantasy whitepaper describes the use of Distributed Engineered Autonomous (DEA) Agents. This is an experimental decentralized distributed autonomous protocol, and is designed to grow organically. http://satoshifantasy.com/media/satoshifantasy.pdfhttp://fantasybit.com/introducing-fantasybits/https://twitter.com/satoshifantasy2) Breakoutcoin Breakoutcoin (BRO) is a new alt-coin currently in development, it is a funded project. Keep an eye out for announcement thread for BRO. sign up for info at http://breakoutgaming.com/
Bergstake is a new proof-of-stake algorithm, it is a generalization of "Proof-of-Skill". (This is the only overlap between between Breakoutcoin and Fantsybits. ). Bergstake is also a block-chain based asset with value. Holders of bergstake have rights to sign future blocks. Its similar to a stock option.
"Breakoutcoin with Bergstake" means that breakoutcoin is a hybrid POW/POS coin, with bergstake used instead of coins (or coin-age) for the POS phase. see http://satoshifantasy.com/breakoutcoin-with-bergstake/
