Outra duvida é, alguem aqui usa Kindle? Vale a pena utilizar esse tipo de meio para ler alguma coisa?
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 20, 2021, 09:59:22 PM
In my country, the government is only now starting to talk about financial education in schools. But I see that there are many children "playing" in gambling without having the slightest knowledge of finances, this is absurd.
I don't know if there is a right age, each country has a different culture, different habits, and different education.

I think that before the age of 18 no one should bet on gambling, and even people over 18 who do not have an income (they still depend on their parents, for example) should be banned from gambling.
To paraphrase what @alegotardo said...
They are talking about financial education in schools (especially in high-level private schools).
But I believe that, depending in the culture of the country, its habits in relation to gambling, I believe that it is valid to educate these children/teenagers about the dangers that this could happen in the future.

With lots and several active point guards and shooting guards on every team, I doubt someone will hire the service of IT nowadays. After recovering from the injury, he hasn't seen improve since then. If he will be signed by a team, still be no impact since he will still be on the bench most of the time. Rather than paying a much high contract, teams will just use their current roster for a point guard substitution.

Different from Derrick Rose that even coming from an injury, he still can produce good numbers. Different also from DeMarcus Cousins since he is a Power Forward and can be a Center and that is what teams are preferred of. NBA teams nowadays don't have the interest to sign an unrestricted free agent like what happened to Lance Stephenson and Jeremy Lin unless a player is a superstar. Both are not injury prone and can still play but no teams signed them.

Rather than being a player, I guess time now for IT to just enjoy joining a basketball league outside NBA or try to be signed by other countries' leagues like CBA. Then return to NBA as a coaching staff in 3-4 years.

That's if the Warriors will offer a contract for him. He ain't forgotten but he was being neglected. If there will be a good comparison it will be DeMarcus Cousins.
He was hammered down by injuries while he is also on his way to stardom. Thankfully, GSW was the one who lifted him back up until he was injured again.
But his name was surely known for the defensive liveliness he brought in and that's why he is still being signed by different teams.

I hope Isaiah Thomas could end up the same way. He may not be the same star as he was before but he could still offer something to contribute for a team.

Yes, you are right!

We don't know if isaiah thomas will come back 100% as before (I think it's hard for that to happen), I hope things work out for IT. Will be insane to see and I would like to see isaiah thomas and DeMarcus Cousins playing together again like in the Sacramento Kings, but this is improbable
1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 20, 2021, 03:30:08 PM
I think this is an interesting point, because most of the time it is relative.
For example, it depends on the laws that the countries have in relation to gambling (child, teenager or adult), maybe the ""culture"" of the country has a certain influence for the individual, and another relevant point is in relation to treatment, because I believe that this can be considered an addiction, if the person cannot control himself, because everything that is too much can be harmful to the person.

1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 20, 2021, 02:58:00 PM
Obviously no chance, just like D Rose, he did not come back to his old self. I read in some article that the reason why he was not given a max contract with the Celtics is because of the long-term effect of his hip injury, and I believe that's what other teams are also seeing the reason why until now he is still not signed.

I do believe he can stand out but not as an All-Star caliber anymore. Just like how Bobby Portis Jr. stands out doing hustle games and reviving the crowd.
Aiming for the Sixth man of the year could boost him to get a better contract next year but for now, he may want to take anything that will be offered as long as it's still fair for a 1-year salary.
He may not have the same performance as he did but he still has the touch and the speed. But this moment if ever signed, it's just for a chance to redeem himself.
Hmm, this is something to be discussed! I find this type of debate interesting, because each player is a player and each case is something specific.

I remember very well the injury that PG and Livingston had and they still managed to go back to playing in the NBA again.

I don't know if Isaiah Thomas' injury it's very serious, but we'll see how he will adapt back to NBA. He was an excellent player, he was even one of the favorites to win the MVP prize of the season when he was playing for the Celtics, he's not very old (32 years old), I'm cheering for him a lot!

Although I also don't believe he can be like he was before, I would like to see him act and be a good player on the team, maybe a 6th man or being Curry's reserve
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice multiplayer theory on: September 20, 2021, 06:34:27 AM
Dice is the most popular game in modern-day casinos. The reasons remain clear to me but am a fan of dice, as it doesn’t take much energy to play and win on a single game.

But I want to know the basic theory to play within a multiplayer?
As you didn't specify I can't tell you something precisely!!
As I didn't quite understand, I believe you can place your bet and press the button, so simple.

Hmm, well, you can read the rules for a particular site you are using, that might be helpful.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Book/Website Suggestions ? on: September 20, 2021, 06:28:59 AM
My father loved to gamble, and was a big Blackjack player.  He was an incredibly smart guy, and always did his homework before ever doing anything at all.  That was no different when it came to gambling.  I remember seeing him read several Blackjack books, which was his favorite game to play.  Do you guys own any good gambling books or know of any website where you can learn skills to play certain games like Blackjack, Poker etc?
wow... interesting!!

Well, even though I'm not a BlackJack expert I can't share very relevant information about it.

But a site that I know and that I even find interesting is https://blackjack.fun/
I confess that I've used it, but very few times.

Have you thought about taking a look at Youtube to see if you can find something interesting?
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 20, 2021, 06:21:38 AM
Yes, we can't rule out the possibility that Lillard will be traded next season. Maybe he will check first if the Blazers' performance in 1-2 months or before the trade deadline will be good. He is vocal that the Blazers need to do something to improve the team. Loyalty is not a question to Lillard but if the team doesn't do anything to surround him with good players for many years, it's acceptable that he needs to throw away that loyalty.

About PJ Tucker, I admire his defense despite being short. Being short, he was expected to have some steals but his man-to-man defense is so awesome that he can even guard a big man. He did his best during their run on the NBA playoffs and was one of the big contributors to the Milwaukee Bucks' success last season.
What you said is very valid and has a connection!
Portland will need to acquire good players to help Lillard guide the Blazers to victory.
Because unfortunately he can't 'carry' the team on his back and so Lillard will need good players to complete the team.

About PJ Tucker, I remember him very well when I was playing in Houston, he was always very brave and helped the Rockets in many ways, including shooting 3 points.

It looks like Isaiah Thomas is still trying to return to the NBA because there are rumors that he is going to work out with the Warriors next week. He definitely deserves to get at least a minimum contract, but I have doubts that the Warriors will sign him.
Now i realized.
What a great news, I hope he can get back to playing good as before, he was an excellent player in the Celtics era, but like Melo and DRose, Isaiah Thomas also deserves a second chance to play in the NBA again
I'm cheering for him a lot

edit: Guys a quick question

Do you think Isaiah Thomas will have a chance to really get back to playing in the NBA and stand out as he was before?
Maybe even be an all star player!!? What do you think about this?

1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 19, 2021, 11:53:57 PM
You can now remove Damian Lillard on the speculation and rumor of yours since he already cleared that he will still play for the Portland Trail Blazers in the upcoming season. But he takes note that things might change along the way so him transferring to another team is possible during the season if Blazers will have a slow run or their roster won't change or improved.

Irving-Simmons trade won't happen. The Sixers aren't interested in Kyrie and there is not much space cap on the Sixers. I think that's the reason why they are still left hanging if they will trade Simmons because they are not receiving a decent offer. Simmon's value decreases after the choked performance last playoffs and he pointed out it's not his job to make his trade value increase during the trading season which is correct. If Sixers want to get rid of Simmon's don't expect a superstar trade in return.
Yes, you're right. I just checked it out as well and saw, Damian Lillard will continue to play for the Blazers, but I don't rule out a possibility that Lillard will be traded to another team during the season, let's see how he performs.

PJ Tucker was known for his immense defense, of course he failed to stop Durant that part is known but dude is Durant, how many players can even stop him? I think not many, probably zero. So, letting him go and then getting a player that is not good on defense but a good shooter wasn't really a great need for them, not a horrible one neither.

PJ Tucker had a shot as well but not as good as Grayson Allen, so the question is, is the difference between their defense smaller than their defense on offense? Bucks had a good championship run but that was mostly thanks to many injuries in many teams, if Lakers and Nets are healthy this year, I do not see them losing the chance to meet in the finals at all.
Unfortunately PJ Tucker is short for his position, and these days he has the height of a SG and maybe a few PG's.
But really, one of his qualities was his defense, because being a little bit short, he could mark fast players (for example SG or SF), but he could also act well defending against bigger players than him (most of the time PF ), with a little difficulty, but he could act defending these players bigger than him.
Allen was a good choice, but I still believe, Tucker could be useful in the team

1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 10:06:34 PM
Question is, what team would be interested in Irving?

The rumor is Simmons is interested, and I think it's good because they need to improve their defense, but I just thought of this, what if they will need a PG,
I mean a real PG, and the Blazers would be willing to trade Lillard for Irving, will the Nets accept him?

Irving would love to play with the Nets but it seems that the management wanted to trade him, there's a rumor that he would retire if he gets traded, so that really says that he doesn't want to be moved from his current team, he wants to end his contract with the Nets, but not sure if they'll finally win a championship in the coming season because of what is happening inside.

Well, I've been out of the NBA news, but are there any rumors that Kyrie could be traded and move to another team?
Is this serious?

Look if Irving is healthy and being a "team player" and fulfilling his goals, I have no doubt the 76ers or Blazzers will make a great choice trading Simmons or Lillard for Kyrie.

Lillard is an excellent player, but if Kyrie is dedicated and strives to be an excellent player like he was before (perhaps in the LeBron/Kyrie era) I believe he could even be superior to Lillard (this is my opinion)

Look, I don't know what's been going on with Kyrie lately, I don't know if he's having issues with depression, family issues or issues with himself, regarding his ego.
Because, unfortunately, from the moment he decided to brag and be the star of the team, his performance is only dropping with the passage of time, since the 2016 title with Cleveland he has never been the same.

It's not that I think it's wrong for him to want to improve and be the highlight of the team, but I think he became so obsessed with it, that he ended up harming himself, unfortunately!

1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 18, 2021, 09:36:06 AM
Yes, obviously, Silva is no longer in his prime, but he is a cerebral martial artist, he still maintain his body and still practices it even in boxing, so you could see the discipline, that's why he was able to win against Tito who seems to be out of shape to me.

Although post fight interview says he is unsure of his future, but definitely I'm speculating that he will have another boxing fight. Names like Jake Paul or even Roy Jones Jr.
Hmm, this is interesting! I would like to watch some more Anderson Silva fights.

I know the exhibition fights "is not a very valid thing" because some players are just thinking about getting rich.

I even like to watch some exhibition fights, as I didn't have the opportunity to watch some fights in the past, I think it's interesting to watch now!
Well, now if the fighter is playing inside the ring, I believe that it loses all the sense and magic of watching a real fight.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 09:27:30 AM
About CP3, the time for him is really short as we look for these current rosters from different teams. Then age also will hurt him together with those old and possible injuries, it's going to be a tough road for CP3 to win a ring.

While with Melo, with the strong cast that surrounds him, it will be much brighter for him to win now, though if not, he will completely lose that chance to win one before his retirement.

I'm going to add Harden here as he also has a better chance to win his first NBA title, the only one that left to complete his resume.
Answering this question from a few days ago....

So, I still believe CP3 could still win his ring before he retires. In these NBA playoffs we've had, we can see CP3's ability to guide the team to victory, even though he got injured in some playoffs, he was able to guide the Suns to the NBA Finals.

About Harden, I believe he will still have great chances to be champion, he is still young, amazingly enough, James Harden is still a good player, he in his prime is still superior to CP3 or Melo both in his prime ( of course this is my opinion)
1897  Other / Meta / Re: Why people plagiarize on: September 18, 2021, 09:18:25 AM
Plagiarism or paraphrasing is a common habit to people who are not ready to learn, all they think is to be so fast to take people's work elsewhere to meet up the standard of members who have paid price and time for years to have a sound knowledge. This members who plagiarized hide themselves in a sheep clothes having the mindset stealing a work from outside they won't be caught in the forum.

The reason I think why people often plagiarize is because they look down on themselves by hiding the little knowledge they have in them, they feel shy about it not knowing that if they express the little knowledge inside of them will make them to know more and help them to grow . I believe what is being practiced  by a person makes the person to be better or perfect. I feel the main reason why people plagiarize they feel lazy, not ready to learn to grow and they want to be in a class or level of people who have spent to get knowledge.
Hmm.... well, this is an interesting topic for us to discuss about this theme

But in my opinion I believe that people plagiarize are:

- They don't have a very deep knowledge in a certain area of knowledge and that's why they intend to "create" something of quality by plagiarizing others.

- Laziness to research and chase your goals

- People can do this because they don't have enough time to complete a certain task, for example, creating a scientific paper that will need to be delivered tomorrow, it will do everything to deliver it but can also plagiarize to complete this task
1898  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: September 18, 2021, 08:30:54 AM
So let's say I'd start filming tomorrow. What type of content/themes would you like to see?
Things that you'd like to watch, whether you're a grumpy Bitcointalk veteran or just hearing out about our wonderful community.
Well, I would like to share my thoughts about this subject.

I believe it is VERY valid for us to create courses, tutorials and educational content (this could be the main theme of the channel), but we can also cover publishing news content, but certainly other content, for example, bringing some guests to the channel, podcast and others topics pertinent to this topic (of course this is my humble opinion)

I will mention some of the reasons that I think the creation courses, tutorials and educational content is very valid and interesting.

• These days, with several cryptocurrencies hitting your ATH, we see several stories being posted on internet news sites.
Sometimes even passing a distorted image of cryptocurrencies to the rest of the population, for example, Bitcoin is a bubble, this type of currency is used for terrorism and so on.
There are even some people who participate in ponzi schemes and after they lose their money, they blame crypto. But this is the person's fault because he/she has no knowledge about this subject

• Another point, there is a huge number of people who do not know Bitcoin and have no idea what it is, however, this type of event is good, because we will have chances to "evangelize" these people to use crypto and get to know this kind of disruptive technology

• If we manage to create a channel with quality content, and somehow easy to understand, we will consequently attract many people to the "world of cryptoactives"

Well, if you need help creating some content for the channel, I can help you and i will be avaliable
The area that I have knowledge is, economics, monetary theory, micro and macroeconomics. econometrics, quantitative finance and others related subjects.

If you need help with translation, I'm a native Portuguese speaker and I can also help with translation.
I believe that's it, I hope I helped you and thank you so much

Hey guys, how are you!!?

Well, I was thinking to myself, a factor that I imagined and that could intervene in the value of Bitcoin (and altcoins) if it happens, is a continuation of the stimulus checks offered by Biden to the North American population.
There are great indications that depending on the amount of stimulus "injected" into the economy and the origin of this money, I have great indications that this can change the price of Bitcoin in the future

Will this happen? the trillions worth of infrastructure plan actually was approved?
Will the fourth stimulus check for the population been approved?

About the money, the US will "give" to the population, what is the origin  of this money? increase in tax collection? quantitative easing or other similar things?

Could someone let me know about this!?

Thank you so much!
