If you mean convincing the exchanges to make the change then no. In fact, it seems even some users have a hard time believing it will make a difference. The effect is called unit bias and is not uncommon. It is even observed in stocks when they split. Don't try to prove logically that it makes no difference. We know that and of course it is the case... but we are talking about people's perceptions here which are not always consistent with logic. Yes, as mentioned, eth has no problem being traded. Neither do btc, bch, dash and all the other coins with high value units. Nobody said that people will not buy a coin because of this. We are saying that it affects their decision, particularly the more inexperienced ones. You could argue that in the long run it will not matter. Maybe, maybe not, but I see no reason why not to make the change if possible. As for the argument that bittrex has a minimum trade of 50000 sat, it means nothing. So what if you cannot buy and sell a single unit? This is true for any coin lower than a 50000 sat/unit, so plenty of them. I agree with you Bob. If psychology plays a role, and it does, we have to acknowledge that and act accordingly, because it is convenient to do so. |

Because I have seen a lot of people commenting on Bitcontalk by mentioning how they were scammed by DeepOnion, I have decided not to even apply for their airdrop campaigns. But considering their current price, it seems like this was a mistake.
never follow the FUD'ers! Only after time we will know who was right, but NEVER ever believe someone else (not the FUD'ers, but also not the adaptors) but make up your own mind all the time! Just go to watch the first pages of Ethereum's thread - full of accusations of Ethereum being a scam. Every coin at first is like Schroedinger's cat, a creature which iis alive and dead at the same time, or if you prefer a good successful coin or a scan shitcoin. Any plans for a Ledger Nano S integration for the Maidsafe token? Nowadays the only way to store the token is quite weird and not very comfortable.
Exactly this ! There should be much easier ways made available to store made off of exchanges. For me, MAID is about the only coin that I still keep on exchanges because I have no idea how to store them offline and no confidence I will be able to access them again if I do. Creating a simple wallet or a Ledger add on shouldn't be too much work right ? And it might also boost interest in MAID a bit. I have stored my MAID ina cold wallet made with omniwallet. The point is that now I don't remember at all how to get it out of there. |

Yup, there is big accumulation going on. This is a long game. There are many airdrops remaining. We can assume the accumulators have a lot of airdrop accounts too - and hashpower. Once they feel they have enough to control the market, they will flood BTC in and the price = moon. But weak hands have to fold first. And they have recently. If you ever have doubts about deeponion, just look at coinmarketcap, see what it is, and ask yourself if it will go higher - or lower. Even with 10 000 000 new coins coming in the next year or so (dont know if thats the case really) i see fair price of DO above 30$ for sure.
Who the hell has been folding? I have been thinking about the inevitable 'big pump' - I have a feeling the first will occur in 6 - 10 weeks. That is, just after a slew of DO improvements and features have been released (with more to come) but some time prior to the end of the airdrop. That's a good extimate. There is no way there will not be a big pump once the accumulators have accumulated enough. As for the timing... we'll see. I think we should see a decent one once the final version of the whitepaper is released and gets noticed by certain investors which should be this week. I was unaware that the whitepaper is already about to be released. This will also hopefully extinguish some of the polemics which have FUDDED DeepOnion all of the time. |
