If I look at the chart I am very bullish on ZEN now. People have started to know about this coin and about the fact that it is an improvement of previous coins it is derived from. Just like Homo Sapiens vs Neanderthal Smiley

I've just discovered this very interesting and reliable way to get bitcoins from a trusted legendary. I don't need it myself but I may refer it to some friends of mine who do.

Zen is fork of zerocoin right? Then what is the state of growth plus is Zen dev also involve in zclassic?

We often see new cryptocurrencies being created due to hard forking an existing project. One of the latest projects to do so goes by the name of ZenCash, a privacy-centric coin which is directly hard-forked from ZClassic, which is a fork from ZCash. Now would be a good time to compare all three cryptocurrencies and see how they are different from one another.

3. ZenCash

Although ZenCash was only recently introduced to the world, the token has gotten quite a lot of attention already. ZenCash focuses on privacy, and represents an “evolved form of ZK-SNARK technology.” It is a direct hard fork from ZClassic, a currency we will discuss in the next paragraph. One feature that makes ZenCash attractive to people is how it offers a protected communication protocol known as ZenTalk. Users can exchange short messages through this network, all of which is powered by blockchain technology.
ZenCash has a maximum coin supply of 21 million, which is the same as Bitcoin. The governance of this project will be done through a Decentralized Autonomous Organization structure, which is funded by a portion of mining rewards. The DAO will also fund future developments and look for additional partnerships. People interested in a more technical explanation of ZenCash can check out the whitepaper.

2. ZClassic

The ZClassic currency – listed as ZCL on exchanges – is a fork of ZCash. The goal of ZClassic is to remove the 20% fee associated with the ZCash technology. The developers of this fork feel miners should not receive smaller rewards just because the developers need additional money to keep evolving the project. Instead, ZClassic issues the full block reward to miners and aims to have development funded by the community itself.
Moreover, Zclassic was designed in such a way there is no deliberate scarcity. That is quite different from ZCash, which seems to thrive on issuing fewer coins during the early stages of the ecosystem being embraced by enthusiasts. ZClassic is the first major fork of ZCash, although it is unclear if other forks may make an impact on the cryptocurrency ecosystem over the coming months. There will be 21 million ZClassic coins.

1. ZCash

Most cryptocurrency users have heard about ZCash before. This particular cryptocurrency is well known for a strong focus on privacy, while still allowing for specific transactions to be completely transparent. There is a fixed supply of 21 million coins, similar to Bitcoin. However, the number of coins is distributed at a much slower rate from the start, which creates artificial scarcity. Moreover, it appears 20% of the block reward will automatically be deducted for future development of the protocol.
The main reason people are attracted to ZCash is because of their use of zk-SNARKS to protect the amount and recipient of transactions. It did not take all that long for ZCash to become one of the top-twenty cryptocurrencies. It is also worth mentioning ZCash was initially called Zerocash, but the name was changed later on. Make sure to check out the official Zerocash whitepaper, as it contains a lot of technical information regarding this project.

Thank you for this excellent display of information. This post should be actually pinned in the front page as I guess that it perfectly answers to questions every person who gets interested in ZenCash initially has.

Airdrop has been delayed to later this week..

So the problem of having to clean your wallets from dust has been delayed - enjoy your clean wallets a bit more Smiley

It has been already a few days that I couldn't join Novaexchange, and I'm always getting the message:

"We are currently doing maintenance on our registration tool and will currently not accept any new users. Welcome back later!"

Not very useful an exchange like that...
Is there no other upcoming place to buy Onions? I know there is Bitzure but order book is empty there...
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: September 04, 2017, 07:17:08 AM
It sucks that the distribution will be held according to an ETH block from July 7... I got some ETH only in August. But oh well, not every day is Christmas Smiley

If you haven't got 100 Ether or more than there is not much reason to worry about it.
The value of the coins you would have received is not that big.

But I understand, missed free coins is always a lost opportunity...

On the other side, missed dust saves your time from the effort of cleaning your wallet. If what you get has basically no value, what's the point of getting it? Yes, I understand, perhaps in 10-20 years price will be 1000X, but....
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: September 03, 2017, 09:51:41 AM
Will these airdrop affect OMG price for short run?
Willl those whales drop them in mass ?

I think that is possible. But the impact would be shortlived, I suspect many would on to the coin. Yet there are so many coins that are attractive in terms of upswing potential

The amounts of the OMG airdrop are so little that most people won't even make the effort to sell them. And whales probably won't care either.

I have been trying since yesterday to get an account on Novaexchange to grab some cheap onion for the garden, but it seems the exchange is not accepting new members in this moment or I get some bad request message on signup. Anybody else experiencing the same?
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: September 02, 2017, 12:55:49 AM
put a note in my diary to check my eth balance on 6th september to see what I have been allocated.  very nice that there is no registration required and we just get a free airdrop.  https://ethplorer.io is a good explorer to check tokens.

A lot of people when they will find that OMG dust in their wallets will ask themselves what the hell it is Smiley

Stratis revealed StratisIdentity today, which in my opinion will not only rival Civic, but completely demolish it.

What's your thoughts?

You may be right. If and when they deliver what promised. But you gave me a good idea, I will buy some Stratis now Smiley
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yesterday for a brief period, I was a NEO Millionaire. on: August 31, 2017, 07:00:12 PM
LOL. I remember a couple weeks back I was cleaning up some old wallet addresses that I had stored in my computer. We've been in cryptocurrency since 2010. Before I get rich of any address pair I jump on the internet real quick and check in for a balance. One of the addresses I was checking had a transaction in it where we had sent 139 Bitcoin to some other address

Did you at least get a pizza for those bitcoins? Wink
I'm deeply sorry I didn't get the 0.10$ Neos. I've decided I'll keep my eyes more open from now on.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: August 31, 2017, 06:50:33 PM
I am very impressed by the lately price development. It seems that we have found a floor to recover from. I'm happy to have some ZEN, buy regretting not to have bought more when price was languishing at the floor.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 2000 $ and I invest in SC all my money. on: August 31, 2017, 06:08:45 PM
It looks like all alts are rebounding and the price of SC too has climbed quite a bit. I have some and I wouldn't sell them before they recover at least 75% of their peak price.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: August 31, 2017, 06:05:27 PM
How much omisego do we get for 1 ETH?

Not a huge amount.
If airdrop is 5%, then using approximate figures... OMG cap is $800m, so 5% is $40m. ETH cap is $30b. So ETH cap is about 1000x OMG total airdrop value. So for every $1000 of ETH you hold, you'd get $1 of OMG.
It's nice, but not worth getting excited about.

Exactly, you get an "airdrop" valued 0.1% of what you already have in Eth. This means that even the act of checking your Eth wallet to see if you've got some OMG is not worth the effort... unless you are an Eth Whale. But then, again, you are already rich and so still it is not worth the effort.

I'm reading that so many people who are now applying for the airdrop are not getting accepted. But actually, watching at this spreadsheet, there are also so many other who WERE in the airdrop and are now banned. This is a spreadsheet to bookmark, by the way.

818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MANA]Decentraland Tokenized VIrtual Reality with Open Standards on: August 31, 2017, 05:54:39 PM
that was a quick ICO. How did so many people end up buying so quickly? it's listed on hitbtc but well overpriced than ICO price. I'm not even sure what went on with this one. Is there any way to purchase it?

Hitbtc is the last place where to look for seeing a new token's price. As far as I know the are not trading the actual token, but "the promise" of that token. Usually dramatically overpriced.

Just realized that I have been rised in rank to Member. I guess that will be automatically detected for next airdrop, if I got the new signature right Smiley

When FUDders are newbies with accounts clearly made only for that FUD, you can automatically be 100% that the accusations are false.
