21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Team Black Miner (Ethereum POW ETC Vertcoin Ravencoin Zilliqa ) on: November 22, 2022, 06:46:30 AM
TBM 1.75 averaging much lower hashrate at the pool than reported in the miner. Says 1.74 but it is really 1.75:

Miner: https://i.ibb.co/J7mydNS/image.png (31mh per rig)
Pool: https://i.ibb.co/WWNk7ct/image.png (29mh per rig)

Going to switch back to verthashminer until this is improved

This is a common complaint  Roll Eyes

Maybe whoever you are talking about got caught in the ban wave where people were spamming malware 4x a day and it looked a lot like one of their posts.  Either way if its sus its getting banned, not that big of a deal.
23  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS octominer x12 & 2x vtreu 6gpu mining boxes. on: November 12, 2022, 10:43:38 AM
Make offers shipping only within states they are used but will come out clean. Make me reasonable offer one of the 6gpu mining boxes comes with no PSU.

No one interested in gpu mining anymore huh? Cheesy

You said reasonable offer, no one is looking to spend reasonable money in the current market.  Maybe let us know your rock bottom and someone might bite.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New fiasco Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 on: November 06, 2022, 04:29:30 PM
maybe less since smart miners under volt and would likley not have to push more than 375 watts for max hashrate.

Oh yes, it makes sense  Cheesy
But can you imagine a rig with 4x 4090 running, suddenly crashes and all 4 cards goes to default settings for several hours  Shocked
Hehehe

It happened with me a few times

Yeah that sounds like a fire waiting to happen for sure.

My opinion is that this connector initially looks like shit. It is better to use several standard 8 pin connectors. Then the owners of power supplies will not need additional adapters and there will be fewer problems. I hope that AMD will not use such a connector.

AMD already confirmed they are using 8 pins.  There is also a rumor that they are adding their stacked 3d cache on the 7950xt.

Wtf, dev fee has been mining for 2 hours and wouldn't stop at all most likely. I went to 8.6% of dev fee already, while you usually that kind of % only after 1st dev fee session in the beginning simply because total miner run time is minimal. Than its just from 1.9% to 2.1% dev fee even after running miner for a week+ without crashes, at least it used to be. Just restarted miner as soon as I noticed it.

ps same shit just happened on my other rig, dev fee started and kept going on to 3.7% after 1 day and 7 hours until I stopped the miner.

who cares this miner has been consistently 5% over 24hrs reported hashrate at the pool for me.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BlackHawk v.2.0 + BlackHawk v.2.0 Linux on: September 24, 2022, 03:47:16 PM
BlackHawk v.2.0 + BlackHawk v.2.0 Linux
---------------

This is a version for mining 98% of different crypto currencies. (bitcoin, dwarfpool, ethermine2.0. org and other pools)

Operating system Win7,10 x64, Win8 x64, Linux IOS.

Capabilities:
    - there is no need for a Dag file, it is automatically created on the GPU.
    - high Dag generation speed
    - a mining algorithm written from scratch gives an increase in performance, in comparison
with standard miner (best result for Kepler, Maxwell)

The failover list options are functionally the same as the command line options.
It is allowed to use only parameters in list parameters:
-url , -wrk , -wlt , -eml

The algorithm for working on the failover list is as follows:
The main address (Main) of the connection is the address specified on the command line.
The addresses specified in the failover.txt file are secondary (failover). They are connected to
if there is no connection to (Main) in the order of placement in the failover.txt file.
When connecting to the (failover) address, reconnection to the main (Main) address occurs
only if there is a stable connection to it, at least 5 seconds.

Using BlackHawkMiner is free.

The values of the local parameters overwrite the values of the global ones!
Use these command line options:

-url Address and port of the pool. Only the stratum protocol is supported.
The character ":" is the separator between the address and the port number.

-wrk Worker name, required for some pools.
        Example, -wrk 1

-wlt Wallet number, needed for dwarfpool, for example.
        Example, -wlt 0x98B079798640Bc175aF7E60b54b5cCec165dECC2

-eml Email address, required for some pools.
        Example, -emlx

-int Global. For all gpu.
GPU load intensity. Use 18 (default) if the GPU is used for more than just mining.
And 19, 20 for full GPU loading.
        Example, -int 18

-intg Local. Intensity for the listed gpu's.
Example, -intg g0 18 g1 20 (gpu0 will run at rate 18, gpu0 will run at rate 20, other gpu
by global option -int or by default.

-wsz Global. For all gpu.
The number of threads per block. Values must be multiples of 32. Use values 64, 128(default), 256
    Example, -wsz 64

-wszg Local. Number of threads per block for the listed gpu's.
Example, -wszg g0 64 g1 128 (gpu0 will run with 64 threads per block, gpu0 will run with 128 threads per block, other gpu
by global option -wsz or by default.

-tsmg Locally. What architecture to configure the kernel (kernel) specified gpu. A two-digit value.
By default, the kernel (kernel) of each gpu receives a pointer equal to its compute capality. geforce gtx 1070,
having compute capability 6.1 will get pointer 61.
If for some reason the gpu does not start and the error "FATAL ERROR GPU" appears. Set value -tsmg
selected gpu to a smaller value. This applies to video cards with Pascal architecture.
    Example, -tsmg g0 53

lcg Locally. Use in mining the gpu specified in the list.
Example, -slcg g0 g3 Only use gpu1 and gpu3 for mining

-ess Globally. Enable/disable the built-in statistics server. Enabled by default, equivalent to -ess 1
Example, -ess 0 Disable statistics server

-pss Globally. Change the port for the statistics server. The default port is 10001
Example, -pss 8000 Use port 8000 for the statistics server.

-toffg Locally. The temperature at which the selected GPUs will be suspended,
until the GPU temperature drops by 15C
By default, the stop temperature for all GPUs is 85C.
    Example, -toffg g0 75

Should see one more huge price cut on 3XXX GPU's before the launch of 4XXX next month.  I don't expect the 4XXX to better efficiency for memory intensive algos since they are crippling a lot of the memory bus bandwidths,  but it should pack a punch for core intensive algos like flux and rvn.

As you can see at the bottom, our friend here launches "Black.x" and does some ergo mining (not very successful if you check his stats).

The absolutely hilarious part of all of this, is that Black.x == Nbminer v41.5.

Please tell me where this software came from? Over the past week, almost all miners have released releases that remove the hash blocker.
Did Nvidia distribute this solution to all miner developers Smiley or did you buy it on the market?

lolminer dev was in a video that said it was more than likely created from the hack on nvidia.  All the unlocker does is constantly refresh the count down timer the nvidia driver uses to enable LHR when it sees that GPU is mining.

Try nicehash discord or reddit for support.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash - 100% LHR Unlock on: May 07, 2022, 05:02:42 PM
I thought excavator miner is a standalone miner that doesn't belong to Nicehash?.

There's something odd about that. They claim ownership of Excavator and that it's open source with no dev fee.
But I can't find the source code and there's also a disclaimer for data collection in the download. A free open source miner
doesn't collect data from users.

It also isn't clear if the anti-LHR mechanism is in Excavator or the Quickminer wrapper or if Excavator can be used to
mine in other pools or mine solo.

I think I'll pass.

If it is real its probably so they can cash in on these NFT mints.  Get everyone on nashhash to mint all the 200+ Eth block rewards on minting day.  Roll Eyes

I'll wait for lolminer or Trex to figure out how it works instead.
