I know many banks and financial institutions will use the Blockchain tech for better service. But I doubt that it's gonna be an open source system.

I would definitely prefer a no pools ICO, but it's difficult now.
But even if they do have pools, they should have reasonable locks the tokens to avoid dumping.

To be blunt and honest, the graphics are way attractive.
But I would advise you to have a testnet model prior to full launch. I would like to get comfy before actually sending ETH to it.

The reason is the token listing criteria of a new Asian exchange fCoin which claims a trading volume of 15 Billion$ daily.
It requires you to vote from unique ETH accounts in a set timeframe and hence is driving the gas prices up.

I can always make profit from markets.
It simply depends on your risk appetite, you can even go for leveraged shorts if you feel that the market will crash and hence earn profits.

Let me be the devil's advocate here.
The project has little more to offer apart from a high TPS, I would suggest to sell at the next pump and invest in ICOs that have a better tech than simply high TPS like QKC or go for Decred which is a PoS/PoW Hybrid.

I works suggest you to put out a ver. 0.0.1 in the crypto domain for various experts to evaluate and give their opinions on. You can then tweak it as you go along, alot of ICOs do that.

Iota has a dedicated community and first movers advantage.
IoT chain is trying to work on the issues iota has been plagued with, hope they do a better job; atleast WP looks more promising.
