I did increase clock frequency to 700-something. Two are plugged directly into mobo and one in USB on front side of comp. I'll try to go back to stick and see if they can work uninterrupted for couple days at least. This is on Windows 7 computer.
Windows, by default, disables USB ports when it sleeps or turns off certain things. Try to disable USB sleep: https://superuser.com/questions/309689/how-to-keep-external-usb-drives-from-sleeping-windows-7You have to uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for each USB port you have Also, its possible the standard USB ports can't provide enough power.

I've received my four and they seem to be working ok, but they are dying occasionally. Like this morning two of three I have plugged into one comp were just not hashing, but had been working for the whole day while I was awake yesterday. When I restart bfgminer they're working fine though. Is this related to using higher frequency? Higher frequency without tuning voltage? Computer not splitting enough current? Something else?
How do you have them plugged in? Hub model? OS?

The hub has enough power - the issue with USB extenders is that they're not powered, so its possible they can't pull the power needed. (It's like using an unpowered PCIe riser on a GPU rig.)

Looks nice man! What hashrate are you reaching with them? They are not really getting that hot I assume?
At 756 clock they’re stable at 4.3 mh/s on that hub. They do get hot so I usually have another fan on them.

can somebody tell me the sizes of the moonlander? I have this 4 port USB hub and i'd like to have 3 moonlanders on it but im afraid they wont fit... too wide. I prefer cm's.
Here's a picture of them in a 7 port hub - they take up approximately 3 spaces. https://i.imgur.com/hb4b4vD.jpg

woohoo! Blocks are awesome

Best way is to make them yourself - its pretty easy.
If you don't want to do that, I recommend monoprice.com

How really solo.ckpool.org work? What is a chance to find a block at solo.ckpool.org with 1 Antminer s9?
To find the chance, take the total network hashrate and divide by your total hashrate. That number gives you you a number that tells you how many blocks will occur before you get one (on average). So, for a single 13.5 th/s S9, you get: Network hashrate: 10.91 exahash/second (or 10,910,000 th/s) Your hashrate: 13.5 th/s So, on average, you will find a block every 808,148 blocks. At 144 blocks a day, if the hashrate stayed the same, you'd likely hit a block in 5,612 days (or 15 years)

i dont get it so what does it mean? the transaction is lost? can it be cancelled?
this was a test from my ledger nano to coinbase is not much but it is $20
When you send a transaction, you specify a fee per byte (or your wallet does.) This is paid out to miners - the higher the fee, the higher priority the transaction. The mining pool has a list of transactions it keeps, and it picks the top ones that will fit into their block size to include in a block. This is a "confirmation" of your send. If your fee is too low, the transaction will sit in their list for sometime, a week or so, before they drop it. At this point, the coins are credited back to your wallet and its like you never sent them.

Mining Bitcoin in a VPS is pointless. You can no longer mine this coin with a CPU (or a GPU)
|
|
|
Mine is delayed as well due to "awaiting clearing agency review" (apparently in China). Is this the same for you two?
I don't see the status of the delay anywhere on my UPS screen. I did redirect the delivery to a UPS store, so maybe doing that meant I don't get the same updates as if it was coming to my place.

Parallel Miner has been great for me

My arrival date was change from this friday to monday
so 3 day of hashing will be lost.
that is about 140 usd
Same here.

You are awesome, thank you!. I hardly ever use windows so I didn't even think of it; it was on. We shall see tonight. I'll also try a different hub later today on the oDroid, I really want a nice compact package.
Another thing to check on your oDroid is the UART to USB drivers. Make sure they're the latest version.

I picked up a hub that can supply 15w (3amp) per port and still the same thing, it appears, but does no work. I'm out of ideas at this point, i guess I'll stick with windows that just stops hashing every night for no reason and come up with a restart script. Thank you for the input and help.
If your windows is stopping in the middle of the night, make sure you've disabled the "Smart" power management for USB hubs. Here's a guide: https://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/prevent-windows-from-powering-off-usb-device/

Ok people, last day to get November in the green. 2 more will do it, so more chicken today!! And mine on! I'm cheering on my S7s to work harder for the team, and live up to their potential.

What's to be expected from attaching one miner to a solo pool? Don't think I've ever done a solo pool before.
In general, you can expect a block when your share number = the difficulty. This looks like an S7 at 4th/s (or maybe an Avalon 6). You will have to get lucky to find a block. If your bestshare is great than the difficulty, you've found a block and get 99% of the reward. It's like a lottery. The page on http://solo.ckpool.org/ explains it pretty well. The key part - if you don't find a block, you get nothing.

|
We're into sacrificing things for blocks - so think of the $1.5k drop as a sacrifice to the block gods!

I've been assigned to these stats for a while now with my Antminer S9. How do I understand these stats?
{ "hashrate1m": "0", "hashrate5m": "0", "hashrate1hr": "0", "hashrate1d": "0", "hashrate7d": "15.2M", "lastshare": 1509047776, "workers": 0, "shares": 0, "bestshare": 0.0, "lns": 3638775296.1, "luck": 1.0, "accumulated": 0.0, "postponed": 0, "herp": 3629205679.495366, "derp": 0.01541252, "worker": [ { "workername": "Mine", "hashrate1m": "0", "hashrate5m": "0", "hashrate1hr": "0", "hashrate1d": "0", "hashrate7d": "15.2M", "lastshare": 1509047776, "shares": 0, "bestshare": 0.0, "lns": 3638775296.1, "luck": 1.0, "herp": 3629205679.495366 } ] }
Those stats looks like they're for the normal pool, this is the solo pool thread. The stats show your miner is not online currently, however. Your last share was on Thursday, October 26, 2017
