501  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 241 blocks solved! on: November 13, 2017, 07:59:29 PM
If you simply put a COMMA after ever 3 numbers i.e. 2,988,020,218 to make reading best share faster I'd offer up my first 3 gfs as slaves to you. Such a simple thing can mean so much. *Disclaimer: Girls may or may not have attitude problems for you to sort out.  Wink

Should be doing that already.

Love the visualization - however, isn't last share a unix timestamp and not a difficulty value?

Maybe convert that one to a date/time instead of comma formatted value?

As of posting this, its been 22 min since the network found a block - TX fees might be high for this next one - here's to hoping we get it.

Awesome that the pics also confirm who the ASIC supplier is. I know a lot of people thought it was an Innosilicon chip.

Mining Bitcoin? Never. You will never get an ROI with GPU mining for Bitcoin.

If its an altcoin, you're in the wrong section.

Thanks for the update! Exciting to get my hands on them.
506  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 13 November Break Even Rates For: BitMain S9 / WhatsMiner M3 / Ebit E9 on: November 13, 2017, 01:02:30 PM
You're not factoring in difficulty increases and electrical costs, so seems like the break even is very optimistic.

For example the Whatsminer is pulling 2kw - that's 48 kwh per day, or $148 a month at 10c/kwh.

Definitely some recent error with the stats at least - the site shows all question marks for users and hash rate (and all other stats), but seems to be fixed now.

Using incorrect PSUs seems like it'd be a common reason

EWBF, mining zen

You're in the wrong section - needs to be in the alt coin section.

What software are you using? CGMiner, for example, has a verbose output option. Most miners also have this.

So much fun getting that notification that a block was found! Let's keep cracking those hashes. (And like VRobb, hopefully one day I'll see me on that acclaim board.)

Looking to purchase more Antminer S9s. Don't want to pay the ebay prices. I searched Google and can't seem to find anything that monitors stock on bitmain's site. What is the best approach to purchase these miners?

Follow them on twitter. They often announce new batches.

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 3E2m8V8dQvSQDJMHQD5dcCHM5AhYQDP6ti.0 -p x -D -P --verbose

Try running it without -D and -P

It is reporting it can't find the pool though - you're sure the device is on the internet?
516  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Need Help on Mining Ops business structure on: November 07, 2017, 02:58:32 PM

I don't understand why you can't monitor your power usage and tell him he only gets so much.

What's your best outcome in the deal?

Do you want:

  • Cash flow to start to buy miners?
  • A portion of the revenue from his mining?

The answer will depend on how your structure your deal.
517  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebit e9 miner with 6.8Th/s from Ebang company a new rival for existing producers on: November 07, 2017, 02:25:14 PM
Any opinions on these to help decide if i should get a few or not?
Already read through the whole thread.

I tried contacting Lynn and Ivy on Skype and there is still no response.

I'm really 50/50 on these..

Honestly, I wouldn't buy another one of these.  Between the weird ordering, the lack of replies post sale, and the temperamental issues people reported.
518  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: what can i mine with 8 pcs of antminers S2 on: November 07, 2017, 02:04:02 PM
No, you can only mine SHA-256 coins with your SHA-256 ASICs.

See the list here:

That's probably not the only reason behind them moving to Cash. Considering they were also one of the main proponents of the fork in the first place they probably want to keep their political experiment alive at least until S2X launches. Without Bitmain accepting BCH it'd be dead.

Totally agree.

To get things back related to Ebit - has anyone found a supplier for a replacement fan on these? I was cleaning mine and the fan broke (a few blades when I dropped the fan) - any one know a good source for them?

You need to find a place to get industrial rates. Even then, its expensive (around .14/kWh), but it cuts down the costs from residential heavily.
