This is also what im thinking. Whales are controlling and dictating prices. With the large amount coins they have,  they play games with the market and this affects small traders like me. Sometimes it favorable,  sometimes not.

i dont think alts are dying because  i see that most of them are still increasing and some are stable. decrease for altcoins are pretty normal but they may still recover just like on bitcoins. i guess this is just a small correction and not a manipulation though some factors may also cause for alts to decrease like for example some altcoins enthusiast and trader are now selling some of their coins just to invest on bitcoins due to the fact that bitcoin is still pumping rapidly and expected to increase even more just before the end of the year 2017.

Bitcoin trader are only seeing the rate graph of bitcoin and now a days the rate graph is increasing with a high speed and that is the best news for bitcoin trader and the other good news for them is that now big investor have start investing in bitcoin due to which the rate of bitcoin will be improve more in future.

Now when BC is sky high and ETH also pretty high. DO people even give their real money for those currencies. I mean give 300$ for 1ETH or 6000$ for 1BC is too much for most people.

Well it's a crazy too to some alts skyrocketed high like bitcoin just like DigiBytes (DGB) it went out to almost a 120% increase in just 4 hours in this day. I don't know how could it last long for it's hype bit I guess it would be over. What I am waiting this time is LTC, DASH, XRP, XMR and ETH to light up on its price. If ever Bitcoin slow down its surge then altcoins will be in the run too, so don't miss this rally and buy some dip right now.

First of all, leave day trading to the bots! Go for longer term trades on recently heavily dumped coins. Don't diversify too much, and don't buy small amounts of a lot of coin. You will end up only with scraps. Concentrate on few well researched coins instead. Hunt down coins with solid, new technology and buy the dips.
And stay away from pump groups. The good ones are closed clubs with rather high buy-in price.

When trading altcoin on exchanges, most people buy alts with bitcoin(Or lets just say they do).

Now with the bitcoin value rising so high, obviously the alts are comparatively at very low in terms of bitcoin invested.

Lets suppose when invested a certain alt was at 1 dollar, and now it is at 5 dollars. That is a huge profit percentage and perfect time to cash in, BUT its value in bitcoin is still less than the value you bought it for months ago.

Hey, let me open by saying Bitcoin is not stock as I know people will respond in such. I merely use stock as an explanation point. I am in the market and real estate as well as gold. With each of these I can follow some information, though not fool proof, that can give me an idea on what a particular investment might do. I see here on this forum people actually say "think positive Bitcoin will go up". Certainly the confidence people have in btc effects it's price but staying positive is not a magic bullet. Thus far I see people's confidence, volume and news reports are the main driving points behind btc movements do you follow anymore.

It's always a good time to buy Bitcoin. For long-term investors, there is no doubt about it. Short-term investors also can make a good profit as there will be another fork (Bitcoin Segwit2x) and it will cause the price to rise again.

holding bitcoin in my opinion is good, because bitcoin prices continue to rise, the loss if only hold bitcoin in the short term, if for a long time bitcoin is very profitable. my advice is better to save bitcoin than money.

I have now heard a lot of people talking about they are waiting for bitcoin to drop, so that they can buy bitcoin. But these guys might have said that since 6k$ and are still waiting. Is it true, some countries that reject the bitcoin are countries with high levels of corruption? So they consider bitcoin to be a potential money laundering crime, potential illegal transactions, Violate payment system authority and undermine the system of investment activity. While countries that provide support for bitcoin is already included developed countries and has minimal acts of corruption therein. What do you think?

Although this is my first post here, I've been in the forum reading a lot of topics, so I decided to participate as there should be a lot of people out there who have the same doubt.

The thing is I'm trading in Bittrex and, as you know, there are three markets there where you can trade, those are BTC, ETH and USDT. Lately I've been using USDT a lot, since its price is pretty close to USD and thus has helped me to freeze the price for my coins, plus there's not high fees like in the BTC market, that's an issue to be taken into account.

I'd like to know what you guys think about. Would my strategy be better if I just trade in btc and make my goal to go up on satoshi even with that high fees?

It is above 100 USD and keeping it there. I would like to believe that my posts have something to do with it. I had a little amount I bought at 50 USD and then I bought some more at 103 USD Now I think it will be 150 in February 2018.
