301  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC in 2018 january on: December 30, 2017, 04:47:16 AM
In 2017 september btc price under 3000$.However it jumped to 18000$ in the begining of this month and now it around 13000$.Will it jump back to 18000$ or more in 2018 january

I think so. But now bitcoin has hard home work about fee and transaction.
If those work can be finished, no doubt that the price will jump again over the all time high.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is Bitcoin Year and 2018 will be Ethereum Year on: December 30, 2017, 04:44:58 AM
Read news about BTCitcoin and ethereum. Which is indeed fact that 2017 is the year for Bitcoin. Is Bitcoin stopping here already? Or still on its way to $100,000? I just hope that. But I love ETH to go up more also. And I think it will be a year for both BTCitcoin and etherem.
 https://www.coindesk.com/2017-bitcoins-year-2018-will-ethereums/  Smiley

Need more idea. Any thoughts about that?

Yes.. i hope 2018 is etherium year since i have hold some etherium.
2017 is really bitcoin year seeing in the run. But the run has minus near new year.
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading Bitcoin and other alts still profitable? on: December 29, 2017, 01:00:41 PM
I was a trader awhile back, I want to say about a year ago now and wanted to know what the current state of the market is for the traders that are currently trading to this day? I know a lot of the current exchanges that I used for trading, such as Poloniex, are still around but aren't really being used much as before.

I wasn't able to profit much but would like to hear how people are doing these days. Thanks a ton!

Actually, we cannot predict what will happen in the future. The prices might gets higher or lower and that's the normal transactions in Bitcoin. You might get much profit if you just hold you Bitcoin since last year until today. Bitcoin really performs well as you can check the graph. Investing in Bitcoin will give you much income if you hold it for a long period of time. For me, investing in Bitcoin is for long term while Altcoins are only for short term investments. But it's really depends on your risk appetite and goals in trading.

Yes, we can not predict the future price for sure. Dont think future, think what will happen in a minute later, who can do it? Nobody know.
So, buy and hold is the best choice to blind trading like me.
304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Trader & how to automate buy/sell orders based on price conditions... on: December 29, 2017, 12:58:16 PM
Hi everyone, glad to see this busy forum available for n00bs like me.

I am new to trading, so I am not familiar with all of the various order terms (stop loss, trailing stop order etc.) Basically I found some bitcoin I had bought years ago and want to play with it a little bit, and set up a few automatic trades. I tried first with Coinbase but found they disabled stop orders and such, I thought maybe I could do it through an App as I read somewhere coinbase has an open api with possibility to execute things via external apps, but that sounds a bit complex and unreliable option.

I simply want to buy bitcoins when the price hits $X,000 and sell when it hits $Y,000. These trades should be executed immediately and without my input. I think this is called a stop order? But in any case, when researching how to do this i came upon Kraken, but after looking further it seems these types of "advanced orders" have been disabled.

Now when I look at the buy/sell fields in Kraken it seems this is possible to setup currently. So i'm confused, can I do the above now with Kraken, or not? And what is the best way to do this, it seems fairly straight forward, as I understand it. This order would be executed when the price of bitcoins >= 15000/usd. And it should be executed automatically without any input from me (checking the skip order confirmations). It would sell .06666667 of my bitcoins, or 1,000 USD worth.

About your order taken immadietly is depending on your buying price and recent price.
If you do like instant buy, recent price and buy price the same, it will be executed immadietly.
305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price bubbled? on: December 29, 2017, 12:54:23 PM
When can you say the price of bitcoin is already or nearly bubble?

Do you expect that the price will dump in coming years?

Edit: On this year how is the bitcoin value soaring ... What I mean is how fast....

You can say bitcoin is bubble starting when bitcoin grow up and dump very bad. That is the starting.
I tell bitcoin is bubble because the movement to dip.
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's a reasonable amount you can make per month trading Crypto long term? on: December 29, 2017, 12:52:50 PM
Everybody looks like a bloody genius in the bull market. You can easily double your money in a month, or even a week if you pick well / get lucky. But it can't and won't last. Enjoy while it does and make sure you withdraw your initial deposit with healthy interest

You can make double your capital in this cryptocurrency.
But do you know the risk? Risk also double. Make the profit reasonable like 30% a month is better.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2017, 01:46:52 AM
Idiot? Your word is very unpolite. If you think people who invest in bitcoin right are fool and idiot people, how you are a clever and normal people says this very unpolite word. I think you clever and but not. Search my word mean.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoins taxable? on: December 28, 2017, 01:43:43 AM
Let's Bitcoin takes off. Say you lived in the US and had an online service that dealt in the equivalent of ~20,000 USD or more income for you (personally). What are the laws for income tax on a currency like this? Can you get in trouble with the IRS by simply having tons of BTC that the market values at (currently) almost 5$ per BTC?

Yes it is taxable if the government has been legalize bitcoin in their country.
But so far i dont think so. Taxable is not really bad i think. I will support it as far as i have more income from it.
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how risky is day trading? on: December 27, 2017, 12:24:35 AM
With the unpredictable changes in bitcoin price people have chose to hold instead of day trading,I mean the majority have.
How risky is day trading at the moment?

we could not say in the word how risky it is. but i will say it is very high risky.
just spend how much you can afford to loss.

if you know how to do day trade like expert, you can reduce the risk by doing everything based on strategy and trading.
310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which legit coins should have the most growth potential for 2018 and why? on: December 27, 2017, 12:09:38 AM
I'm cautiously optimistic about the potential of BTC for 2018 but I'm also considering converting 5% of it to alt coins that also have great potential.

So I think it would nice if you could suggest some solid alt coins with great potential and explain in a few sentences why you believe that. If your explanations makes sense to me, I will obviously dig deeper to know more about the coins.

I'm currently looking at LTC, XMR, ZEC and ETH but i don't have make a final decision yet.

as you wish to convert some percentage of your bitcoin, i did the same thing already.
i convert 50%, much higher than your planning about 5% only. i convert it into top popular coins like etherium, NXT, waves, and Monero.
311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stocks or crypto ? which has great future? on: December 26, 2017, 11:43:41 PM
i am kinda new to Cryptocurrency .
i am going great in stocks. its really technical and fundamental kinda investments
as i see Cryptocurrency its alot more easy to invest and forget
should i shift to Cryptocurrency and start investing without tension and stress?

if you are dong great no need to shift hundred percent of it, just do both is better. get 2 income from two different kind of trading. stock and crypto have their own pros and cons, so just dont know which one is greater.

Some stocks will do very well and some stocks will do poorly. Also some cryptocurrencies will do well and some will do poorly. I think the big difference is that all cryptocurrencies are high risk and many are extremely high risk. With stock I think you will have anything from very low risk to very high risk. So you can find low risk stocks but I don’t think you will find low risk cryptocurrencies. Diversifying will protect your investment and allow you to reap some reward if one of those does well.

from this thought, i think you gonna say stock has more future. in mine, i just say they are not better each other.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why even holding your bitcoins? on: December 25, 2017, 03:40:08 PM
Why would I want to keep BTC in my investment portfolio? That's most hyped and quite overvalued coin I'd say.
There are other more technologically advanced coins. Is it because of "digital gold" and store of value properties?

What do you try to say? Is it bitcoin overvalued?
I am really thinking it does not overvalued. It is beginning and many people predict that bitcoin will have so much marketcap in 2018 and it can make the value grow more amd more.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin owner die. It means bitcoin also lost forever? on: December 25, 2017, 03:35:20 PM
Yes, the 1 million bitcoin of the dead person will still exist, but won't move anymore because no one can make them move from a wallet to another.
This, so far, explains too why bitcoin supply is limited, and decreases with time. Now it's compensated by btc mined, but mining won't last forever (bitcoin income for miners decreases every 4 years).

Yes of course. I agree with above opinion. It can not move to another wallet. It is exist but nothing.
So if this happen many times to many people specially whales who hold many bitcoin, so the supply 21million is still exist but its like less than 21million coin.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can any government ban Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2017, 03:31:15 PM
Maybe yes, other most of the country has been yet legalize. Few of them, but in our country, even the government dont know what bitcoin means. And i think it is possible to be ban if they know it.

Yes, posibility is always exist between us. In this case, government can ban bitcoin for any reason.
I agree with you, if government know bitcoin maybe they will ban it. I hope not
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Being Millionaire with Altcoins? on: December 25, 2017, 01:45:57 AM
Eth has increased more than 20 times during this year, litecoin 33.

Monero more than 40, and ripple more than 60.

Do you really think that if you invest in one of those you are going to be millionaire in sometime? You already missed the train

Yes, missed the train. Wait for another train mate to go to place you wish.
Become millionaire is not easy at all. But just think if those can repeat its increase value this year in next year. It is hard i know but nothing impossible.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help filling out my portfolio on: December 25, 2017, 01:42:06 AM
I currently have LTC, ETH, SUB, SNM, WABI as part of my portfolio

Im looking to add a few more coins. Which one of these would this sub recommend from each category? Im looking for the best combination of high upside for 2018 and long term safeness.

Platform Choices

Waves Lisk Ark NEO Qtum EOS

Currency
Zcoin Zcash Monero Decred PIVX

Payments
OMG REQ

I think you have so many choices above about your next portofolio.
Ltc, etherium, wabi, omg, waves, monero and qtum are very good choice i think. Add ripple will be better.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about 2018 ICOs on: December 25, 2017, 01:37:50 AM
There are many ICOs are coming in 2018. But, you can find most of them will be banking sectors. Some of the good ICOs are; Vauldbank, STK, Qlink, FCFL, MARK.SPACE etc,. You can find much more by searching of the internet.
Thank you...good idea about stk i joined the stk bounty and i think that it will be a very good ico

I also join stk ico. I hope its value can grow after ico.
The other ico with bank idea is also good. Most of ico based on bank is successfully amd grow very much after ico period. So
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: December 25, 2017, 01:34:53 AM

I missed the dip the other day and am wondering if I should hold out for another dip or if the current prices are still decent. Mainly looking at litecoin and etherum. I also need coins regardless so I can exchange for other altcoins.

Make your money separately into 2 or 3 pieces. Buy now and use one of piece of your money. Sell it if goes up. If goes down in any point, start using the other money to buy back again. Hopely after this, it will goes up. But if not, buy back again with another piece of your capital. Finally you will have more profit although if the price just go to the first point where you bought it.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH manipulation again on: December 24, 2017, 01:50:37 AM
There is a huge-ass wall of like 1200 BCH-BTC buys on Bitstamp, to ensure that the BCH won't go below 0.21 BTC, causing BTC drops whenever the BCH drops... manipulation again. A real whale willing to buy so many, would have bought much lower yesterday.

I wonder if there's a similar wall on other exchanges? It's not too abrupt on Bitfinex.

I see a lot of walls popping up & disappearing all the time in BCH trading - from all sides to make prices pump & dip. More than usual.

such not fair situation in trading. i actually not realize that happen in trading.
i see also sometime this trick happen but not in bch, it is in other altcoin. if continue like this, i think only the whale will get the profit.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Made Me Do It on: December 24, 2017, 01:46:02 AM
I think the media is basing their argument that bitcoin is dangerous on its financial volatility, I haven't seen many references to bitcoin being used by terrorists and so on. The main argument is that bitcoin looks like a bubble, even if it's not a bubble it is too unpredictable and volatile anyway, so it's dangerous.

when will they stop? i dont think they will stop making news about bitcoin, bad or good, as far as they get paid from their news. it is their job to make the news, not care bad or good news.

anyway, about bitcoin volatile, i want to clarify that it is not just dangerous but it is profitable. it has pro and con.
