Oh yeah, that's what we need.

For Facebook (the NSA's friendly right arm), to track Bitcoin transactions and addresses.

The whole point of BTC is to avoid that....

DUH !!

142  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BTC Mining is dead IMO on: December 21, 2013, 08:05:52 PM
I highly doubt it is dead.

I got into in the middle of May 2013, with my GPU's.

Added a 7950, a 7850, and my old Nvidia gpus.

Added a few block erupters.

Switched the GPUs to Litecoin, and enjoyed the ride.

Ordered some Asics, so I went up to 130 Gh/s

Sold off 50 GH/s ASICs on E-bay.

Still held onto 80 Gh/s, and while that barely makes 0.04 BTC/day, I'm screwing around with Litecoin to keep me entertained.

If you're doing it because you think you're gonna make $50,000 extra a year, you are seriously in for a dissapointment. I'm sure people who took a chance and bought Jupiters made some money, and that's great for them.

But, that's not gonna be everybody's experience. Do it for the enjoyment, pay for a fancy dinner with Bitcoin. Now, that's satisfaction.

Get laid because of Bitcoin. It don't get no better than that.

Just enjoy it.
143  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX Support MIA - Are they stealing customer funds? on: December 21, 2013, 02:40:58 PM
Gentlemen,

2) Regarding paper deposits and electronic withdrawals:
We process a massive number of paper and electronic deposits / withdrawals.  At this scale we have discovered many issues where banks, post office, and our own admins can make human errors.  Overall error rate is less than 0.01%, but unfortunately errors take longer to resolve as we need to document and trace the issue with our partners, banks, or USPS.  Electronic errors are resolved in 15 business days and paper errors are resolved in approximately 3 weeks.
It takes a long time but we always resolve issues to customer's satisfaction.

Also wanted to add that CampBX does not do ANY ARBITRAGE with customer funds, or trade directly with any customers.  We are purely a platform to match buyers and sellers as documented in the FAQ and policy documents on our website.

Thank you,
       Keyur

Bullshit. I checked with my bank 3 different times, at about 7 days, 10 business days, and 17 business days. You never even tried to deposit the money. That can't be just a number and paperwork error, because I quadruple checked my account number, and I've done this before with other banks and exchanges. Then my money showed up in my CampBX account, and there was no explanation from the 2 separate tickets that I submitted (one of which you never answered).

There is only one explanation for that.

You make money when people sell high, and try to get their money out, and cannot. Then they have to buy low, and transfer their BTC out.

You delay the process as long as possible, and when 1 BTC was ~$1000, multiply that by several thousand BTC, you have $$$ to play with for a month, interest free.

You can then play around with the other exchanges, and make money on the price differences of not just BTC, but other cryptocoins as well. It's so easy a caveman could do it. But, you need a significant amount of money, which you get interest free from your own customers.

You do not follow your own policies.

Is it really that hard to follow your own policies and actually do what you say you are going to do? That's how honest businesses develop a solid reputation and make money.

CampBX cannot follow it's own written advertised policies. They should be avoided like the plague.
144  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPENED for Chili on: December 19, 2013, 10:31:07 PM
So, why are there so many Chili boards on E-bay now?

145  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining at Home dying out on: December 19, 2013, 02:04:02 AM
Buy a generator to plug it into.

Gas or diesel or propane.

At $500 bucks per bitcoin, you would still come out WAY ahead, and you can size it to your power requirements, and would not be subject to the whims of the powergrid or your crappy house wiring.

Hello!

My one miner finally arrived, the website still says my order is processing.

It was extremely well packed and included two extra PCI power cables - very nice detail.

It's seem strange that the power pins next to the micro usb port won't power the fan.

149  Local / Romānă (Romanian) / Re: Cateva intrebari despre minat on: December 16, 2013, 05:07:19 PM

Primul lucru care trebuie sa faci ieste sa nu risipesti bani fara un plan.

Planul ester simplu.

1) Foloseste computerul pe care il ai deja. Daca are un video card buna or asa-asa, fao ca sa mineze LTC. Foloseste si procesoru.
2) Punctul numarul 1 te va invata ce sa faci.
3) Daca nu stii ce sa faci, invata cum se configurezi ce ai.
4) Asteapta o saptamina sau doua, veze cum merge treaba.

5) Re-evalueaza toata treaba dupa 2 saptamini.

150  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] btcolympus.com 28nm Hercules ~500 GH/s ASIC NO PREORDERS! on: December 16, 2013, 04:59:27 PM
I love it when you guys are totally harsh!

Normally, you'd have to pay money for that kind of whipping somewhere in London.

But you gentlemen do it for free ! Now, that's what I call service !

But just remember, this happened with KnC miner too, lol.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed GC3355 -Hybrid Scrypt/SHA256 ASIC on: December 16, 2013, 06:22:38 AM
Very cool stuff.

Definitely interested in LTC and BTC as well.

Hybrid approach is very creative.
152  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX Support MIA - Are they stealing customer funds? on: December 16, 2013, 06:13:30 AM
They are doing some serious arbitrage with our money, there is no other explanation for it.

I sold a fraction of a BTC at the peak of the market. They claimed that they could not deposit the money into my bank account.

I checked with the bank, and the bank can actually tell if anybody tried to do an ACH transfer, even it it's a messed up one.

They never even did one. Now they claim that they had to return my money, knowing that I would have to buy BTC to transfer it out.

I suffered a small loss. Lesson learned. Not a big deal, but I will not be using Camp BX anymore.
153  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE] #1 Bitmain Antminer U1 USB Erupter [ANN] on: December 16, 2013, 04:51:47 AM
I'd be interested in 20-30, price dependent.

If it's less than 0.05 BTC, more like 30.

Question however, since these are USB, which mining program recognizes these??

PM sent.
154  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 8 PCIe motherboard on: December 13, 2013, 04:35:56 AM
Way too much heat.

I had enough problems with 2 7950's.

8 cards would not have enough airflow, and would melt, unless you were pushing some serious air with some burly fans.
155  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining with SLI on: December 13, 2013, 04:34:23 AM
I've mined with my old NVIDIA cards which were connected with the SLI connector for ages.

First it was bitcoin, and then it was litecoin.

You don't need to remove the SLI connector, or usually do anything at all. If your mining program only recognizes one card, just disable SLI in the nVidia control panel.

But, you should not even have to do that. CudaMiner doesn't care if SLI is enabled or not. If both cards are recognized, you're good to go.
156  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: December 13, 2013, 03:52:08 AM
Zipiju,

Has the PCB run been fully funded?  If so how are things coming?  Hope all is well with you.

H@shKraker

Yep, but I haven't ordered the PCBs yet (because the BTC price plummeted recently).
I'm going to order them in a couple of days (one or two) from iteadstudio.com. They should be here in 10 working days.
I still want the design tested before the december the 24th.
Other components from Mouser should be here this week (hopefully). They are already on their way.

Hey Zipiju,

I would like to personally thank you for carrying on with the gen 2 Klondike and for helping out with the Gen1 Klondike firmware.

Sent you 0.1 btc

Also, Klondike Gen 2 still uses 16 ASICs?

Do you need more Gen2 Avalon Asics? Kuz there is a guy here on the forums https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355616.0

selling some. Is that a good price? Do you need more chips? I could order some for myself and send some to you if you need them to do a full test run.

I would like to support the Gen2 effort.

157  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Avalon 2 55nm chips on: December 13, 2013, 03:40:37 AM
Are you accepting anything else besides LTC/FTC?

Like $$ or BTC?

Are these available right now, or at a later to be determined date?

Thanks.
158  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: campbx customers service is AWFUL on: December 11, 2013, 04:29:44 AM
I requested an ACH withdrawal from them 3 weeks ago. Still nothing.

CampBX sucks.

What's funny is they told me their USPS withdrawals are backlogged 2 weeks so I should use ACH withdrawal instead.  Now it's been like 3 weeks.  I bet honestly it's a stall tactic, to what ends though, I don't know.  It certainly seems like they're taking in enough money with everyone sending funds in and complaining about not getting their account credited.

My opinion only, but I think they basically arbitrage the markets, and they used customer money to buy the big dive of a few days ago.

I mean, really, how much money could they be making in fees for a $2 withdrawal? Heh.
159  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Bfl jalapeno failures and USB problems, possible thoughts on: December 10, 2013, 08:36:53 PM
Have Cablez make you PCI-E power plugs for your Jally.

Problem solved, and excellent service.

That way, you don't have to deal with cheap power bricks of any kind.
160  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX Support MIA - Are they stealing customer funds? on: December 10, 2013, 08:33:53 PM
I didn't have the BTC posting problems you did, but I am waiting for some funds from them. They said the first transfer would take 7-10 business days. It has been way more than that, and still nothing 2 support tickets later.

The latest support ticket said that they were backlogged...blah blah blah..

Pathetic customer service by CampBX. Avoid them like the plague.
