161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan’s CEO claimed Bitcoin it is a fraud on: September 22, 2017, 04:16:23 AM
Hi, what is your opinion about this ?
https://fxpmarkets.blog/2017/09/15/bitcoin-is-a-fraud-said-jp-morgan-ceo-jaime-dimon/
I heard JP Morgan bought  a lot of bitcoins after the fall,
do you think is only manipulation ?

Well I dont know, but one things for sure that they are afraid if a lot of people invest their money on bitcoion rather on depositing it to the bank.
Investing your money on bitcoin will have far more greater return rather than putting it in a bank for sure. Maybe that's their way of making people feel afraid of investing their money on bitcoin.

163  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Thought experiment on: September 18, 2017, 08:20:25 AM
I was having a kind of thought experiment...

Let's say that you create a new crypto-currency. Before the creation of the first genesis block you create 25 billion wallets with each 1 coin in it. The purpose of this would be that anyone on earth, could claim his 1 coin at anytime.

My question:

How would you prevent that someone claims more than 1 wallet?

PS: I didn't incorporate more details because this is not necessary for the question at hand.

That would be a very hard thing to regulate. But i think it helps if you implement stricter user profile verification processes in to your wallet to ensure no duplication. I'm thinking of adding additional safety and unlock features like finger print verification or iris verification. Since most mobile phones have finger print scanners so that would do for a start.

165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: September 18, 2017, 08:06:44 AM
What do you think? Onion going to boom?

Cant really tell it for now. But they are really serious in promoting it in social media. Have a friend who is paid doing it on facebook and twitter.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest ICO 2017 on: September 18, 2017, 08:03:58 AM
The ICO target they want to achieve is 65 million tokens or the equivalent of $ 225 million. Do you think Swarm Fund is the biggest target ICO ever? https://swarm.fund/

Well, it depends if they are offering signature campaigns and socila media promotions. If they are really serious in making it one of the biggest ICO, they should invest in people as well to promote it.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin banned in China. Did it affect the price? on: September 18, 2017, 07:56:23 AM
Bitcoin's buy and sell value dropped dramatically over the weekend. Has China had something to do with it?

171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Spot A Bitcoin Scam on: September 07, 2017, 01:33:52 AM
Any ideas on how to spot a bitcoin scam?

well, one thing is bitcoin banks promising you to return 200% of your initial investment in a short period of time. That would be a very good clue that this institution or individual is just getting bitcoins and when he reaches the certain amount he needs, he suddenly disappears with your bitcoins. Be careful of that scheme.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: September 07, 2017, 01:31:18 AM
My bank closed my account last year for no reason, and all money in my account was gone. I argued with the bank, even contacted the local government, no use. My bank just stated that "Pursuant to the CMA Disclosure and Agreement, 'THE BANK, at its discretion, may elect not to accept an account, terminate the account agreement and the account agreements of any related parties'. Both parties to the agreements have the right to end the relationship at any time and neither is obliged to provide a basis for such a decision to terminate". No single word explaing the termination was given to me. I contacted all banking lawyers online, and they were all representing the bank, not the customers. The money I lost can buy a new Mercedes. However, banks around the world now are too powerful. They are too big to fail. When you open an account in the United States, and probably also many other countries, you voluntarily give up the rights to sue the bank under their arbitrage clause. Even worse, they define the financial laws and enforce them. They can close your account, freeze and steal your property and evict you from your house. The more money you deposit into your bank account, the more you are helping the evil. I'm glad to see Bitcoin is changing all of these. Let banks die!

So sad to have heard about your story. Indeed banks have their own way around things in terms of money and putting your properties as collateral for whatsoever reason they find fit to have you make sure to pay your loans. Hopefully you can raise your issue to the coarts to have it checked by your government officials. Im sure they will look into it.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will AMD Vega affect GPU mining? on: September 05, 2017, 01:12:53 AM
Greetings,

I was sitting here this afternoon looking at buying another setup of components for my new build. But then I came over news about the AMD Vega that is around the corner.
Now I know that there isn't really much information about the Vega so far. But does anyone of you have any clue about how good the Vega will be ?

It will probably be quite expensive compared to the 5xx series and 4xx series. I don't really see it giving anything above 40Mh/s mining ethereum and nowhere below 200watt if that would be the case. That means it has to be about 300$ to be worth the wait?

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it be best to stick with the 570 for now ? or do you think I should wait untill they release the Vega ?

TL;DR  Is the vega worth the wait over the 5xx series ?

If you find that the income/return of that investment is more than your current setup, go for it.
I think you need to consider also the electrical bills and the operating cost of the new unit if it would be really profitable to upgrade.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!! on: September 05, 2017, 01:08:10 AM
Thanks for the informtion.
China would have been a good market for an ICO since they have the numbers in terms of population.
I think the government is just making measures to protect their people form investing their money on online investments (especially on cryptocurrency)  not controlled or regulated by their government.

For now it is way better than gold as the price is concern.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Taxi on: August 29, 2017, 06:59:24 AM
I think it would be great if you could pay your Taxi-drive with Bitcoin! U agree with me?

That would be great though not everyone knows and uses bitcoins in buying or purchasing goods and services.
Other countries are still trying to integrate bitcoin purchasing in their country.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BitcoinCash a joke? on: August 23, 2017, 06:46:20 AM
I think they are just trying to make transaction rates faster. The purpose is good but the means are not so great in achieving it because they want users to use a different currency.
