221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Casinos on: August 02, 2017, 06:55:34 AM
With the recent emergence of Bitcoin Cash due to Bitcoin Scaling, some bitcoin casinos, such as mBit, Bitcoincasino.us and Oshi.io, have already emailed their players that they implemented the policy of not accepting Bitcoin Cash. Any thoughts?

It means that they are not supporting Bitcoin cash at all, they want to stick with bitcoin only. Most of the casino's maybe will implement the same policy that they won't be supporting BCH. But I'm pretty sure that there will be some casino's that will accept BCH on their deposits, no other thoughts for this news about those casino's.

Bitcoin Cash's performance is still yet to be evaluated in the next few weeks. I think most of the sites will support the Bitcoin Cash if many  users are enticed to using the new currency. Based on some useful comments here in Bitcointalk.org the growth of the Bitcoin cash will solely depend on the number of users and traders. So if many users will switch or add accounts to get Bitcoin cash, gambling sites will surely soon to follow and support this new cryptocurrency.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 02, 2017, 06:48:23 AM
Thanks for this. Will use this for future reference if the Bitcoin cash performs well in the next few weeks or months.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to buy or still wait? on: August 02, 2017, 06:45:30 AM
I do believe it depends on what you are getting into and what the charts read really.

I agree. All we can do now is wait for a few weeks till the issues about the Bitcoin fork has settled.
Honestly, the split to me is a very hard idea to chew. Creating 2 version of bitcoin is like having a kingdom with different beliefs under one nation. It's like North and South Korea, anyways it's my opinion. Hopefully this two currencies will co-exist in harmony.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 06:23:57 AM
It will NEVER EVER take over Bitcoin, at least that s my opinion. It brings absolutely nothing new now when SegWit is about to be locked.

However, I must say a free money is something I did not refuse so thx BCC.

I agree with you. But unfortunately for me, my wallet provider is not supporting the Bitcoin Cash. No free Bitcoin Cash for coins.ph users.

If you really want to have a Bitcoin Cash, you must have transferred you bitcoins into another wallet that nake you manage your own private key like MyCelium and Electrum.

Me myself is a user of coins.ph, I use it because I can move my coins to another wallet without fee as long as it is the same. But reading their announcement about not supporting the fork, I immediately sent my coins to Electrum. Right now I am holding my BTC and the same number of BCC.

Thanks for the information, I haven't heard of those wallets before. Will give it a try on of this days when we can see where the Bitcoin Cash is going.  Cool
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to Invest in Bitcoin Cash? on: August 02, 2017, 06:03:03 AM
Just keeping it real, the answer is a no. It's better to invest your altcoin to something guaranteed like Everex. Heard it? Everex aims to change the remittance world for the better. We'll have immediate money transfers, faster transactions and 24/7 security due to blockchain technology. See the other reasons here, /E2NDF2][Suspicious link removed]/E2NDF2 and you'll realize this project is worth your investment than Bitcoin Cash, which is controversially experimental as of the moment.

Perhaps, patience plays a role here. You need to wait. You'll need for Bitcoin Cash to grow.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't heard of Everex before till you mentioned it. I will take a look at it.  Cool
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is it a good time to Invest in Bitcoin Cash? on: August 02, 2017, 05:52:44 AM
With Bitcoin splitting and Bitcoin Cash having an 8MB blockchain size upgrade.
Is it wise to invest in Bitcoin Cash while it is still growing?

228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Bitcoin Cash (BCH) ? on: August 02, 2017, 04:31:44 AM
Hello,
I am not very new into mining, but into BTC/BCH mining. I would like to start mining Bcash but i couldn't find any information about that.
Can I mine BCH with my GPU rigs? Mostly RX 570-580 stuff.
Is there any guide, or can you please enlighten me shortly where to start?
Thanks! <3

Good question. For now, I think we have to wait for the next few weeks or months before we can say that "they will allow users to mine for BCH or BCC". The answer is "No" and who knows when it will be "Yes". I think it will all depend on the number of users. The more users as they say the merrier.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Would you keep Bitcoin cash, or sell them? on: August 02, 2017, 04:21:02 AM
As a Bitcoin investor, I've invested some in Bitcoin, which I plan to hold it for a long time (probably years), so far my expectation on Bitcoin still remains the same, but I was unsure about Bitcoin cash.
Would like to see your opinion  Shocked

For those who wonder where you can sell (dump) or buy Bitcoin cash, I've just tested to sell BCC at ViaBTC.
(Wasn't able to withdraw yet, as it required 20 confirmations lol)

For now, I think it is better to keep them for a while and observe the behavior of the newly found Bitcoin Cash. It still has to prove itself in the online market.
230  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Legality of bitcoin here in Philippines on: August 02, 2017, 04:17:27 AM
I highly doubt if phil government has the capacity to do so. They have more laundering issues with peso to deal with than Bitcoin. If they do, just tell them the truth that you're trading bitcoins. In Philippines, the liquidity flow is being regulated that means, you can only cash out so much in a day. As such, coins.ph's liquidity are based on the customer's account levels. At best, If you're trying to cash out millions it would take weeks. I'm not too familiar with buybitcoin.ph but I believe they have similar liquidity mechanism. The point is, every liquidity flow is already regulated unless you transact p2p.

You may want to review the ff:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory#Southern_Asia

And, there's no tax guidelines when owning bitcoin in phils yet. Government can't tax a currency. So there's none.

I agree with you Sir, salamat sa info, siguro pag mature na Bansa natin baka malegalize na ang Bitcoin. Sa ngayon parang malabo pa tayo in legalizong bitcoin sa Pinas. Dami pa nating problema
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH is rising because... on: August 02, 2017, 04:14:17 AM
It is a complete surprise that BCH is alive and rising. Everbody was expecting it to fall like a stone.
When a few hours passed after seperation it was obvious that BCH diff was too high and also its price. Blocks are being found in hours not minutes. They could ve changed its difficulty with a version but they didnt. Intentionaly or unintentionaly they created a coin that too hard to mine. Just like ZEC's first days it is precious. So we can expect its price to rise to next difficulty retargeting. That can be in months with that speed. After that time it will be just like an altcoin but price can already reach or pass its sibling. Who know what can happen after that.

It's price is most likely to gain momentum since the Bitcoin Cash is another form of Bitcoin being backed by some coders of the old Bitcoin blockhain. When we say same coders of the old blockchain, it is the same people who are responsible in recording transactions of the old system making most people to eventually trust the newly found BitCoin Cash. And the news is being sensationalize making more people to worry and make them jump into the new blockchain. I don't if it's strategy to eventually overrun the old Bitcoin but to me it looks like it.
232  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: August 02, 2017, 04:00:02 AM
I only used coins.ph. as what i know its the only  trusted btc wallet  here in philippines.

coins.ph user here. Wonder if eventually they will support Bitcoin Cash into their system.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 03:22:44 AM
So damn true! The Bitcoin Hard Fork has completed successfully. Orders for Bitcoin cash BCC/BCH are exploding.

Exchange wallets are closed. This means the all trade is limited to whatever was converted in the Exchange - a tiny portion of all BCC in the market. This scarcity of BCC is dangerous to those that are forming an opinion but do not understand this, which is why I bring it up.

Yes, but some wallets will resume transfers once the system is stable. The number of BCC (limit) is yet to be known. All we can do is wait.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 02:54:10 AM
so far you can only consider it an alt coin , but no one can tell the future
I guess bitcoin with Segwit is better than bitcoin cash , but I'm not a good trader nor a good tech guy
and since I suck at these I'm considering leaving both my btc and bch without trading them , but not sure how things will go

Me neither. I don't do much trading right now because the prices are so volatile. But who knows, just storing bitcoins could earn us a fortune in the future.
So how do you earn Bitcoins anyway? Through buying or visiting faucets?
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 02:44:57 AM
We don't know for sure the developments in the coming days, months and even years. For now. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is still considered as an altcoin to Bitcoin and whether this new coin is the one that can topple the real Bitcoin...we will see on that. As of now, it is still the real Bitcoin that is the reigning king of cryptocurrency.

This all boils down to support and usage. If holders and users of Bitcoin will shift to BCH on a massive scale then maybe that can be the sign that BCH is already the new Bitcoin. Personally, I am seeing that the two coins can live alongside each other peacefully as there is nothing wrong when we possess both of them.

As they say, the more the merrier and this is quite true in cryptocurrency.

Yes. Very well said.  Smiley
But I really wonder why they have to split though just to upgrade the Bitcoin blockchain (a decade old)  transaction speed. Is it really about the transactions or about the who's idea to follow?
Hopefully Bitcoin will still be the reigning king of cryptocurrency in the years to come.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 02:24:47 AM
According to CNBC news "Bitcoin falls, new 'bitcoin cash' briefly leaps nearly 50% then dives as digital currency splits"
Should non supporters of the split start worrying about the future of the Bitcoin?
Given the circumstances of an upgrade from 1MB to 8MB block size, will Bitcoin Cash totally overpower Bitcoin in the future? Let your thoughts be heard.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC cash an altcoin? on: August 02, 2017, 02:03:17 AM
Someone say yes someone say no. Explain me in scientific way. yes or no?

Yes, its an alternative coin for Bitcoin having it's platform and system altered from the original Bitcoin. Dont know why they really had to split the Bitcoin cryptocurrency just to address the transaction speed of the current blockchain. Who know's what this split will do to the Old and New faces of Bitcoin.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: August 02, 2017, 01:13:03 AM
As predicted months ago... this fight was meant to happen. I knew it was going to be 2017, but september, not this soon (August 26th)

This will be the biggest fight ever in terms of numbers. Expect insane gambling to happen that night.

Will Mayweather win as expected? Will McGregor pull the biggest upset ever and make a lot of people rich in case you bet for a McGregor win? Let's find out. My money is on Mayweather as usual. It worked 49 times, it should work again. Anything can happen in the sport of boxing tho, which is what makes this fight interesting, to see if McGregor lucks out and uses his power to KO him. I think his possibilities for an upset will get increasingly harder the longer the fight goes on. Mayweather typically tests the opponent for some rounds then proceeds to perform surgery on him, so McGregor needs to find a way o stop the fight quick.

This fight is not about the sports or boxing or MMA. It's about the money as usual. Boxing's reputation is not getting any better and people are now moving to MMA. This fight is all about the ratings and an alternative way to revive the dying ratings of boxing because of bad scoring decisions and bad officiating referees. The way I see it, it is just a move to promote Boxing again by either allowing Mayweather to win (which is very boring since he always run anyway) or making McGregor a sudden boxing champ making his new career to boxing. Either way Boxing's going to be fun to watch again. I think in terms of lethal punches, McGregor can beat Mayweather. But I hope he does not suddenly kick Mayweather literally because it is a boxing match and Mayweather has an advantage on that.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Opinion : I think BitcoinCash (BCH) Will reach $500 on: August 01, 2017, 11:59:11 PM

Opinion : I think BitcoinCash (BCH)  Will reach $500 as an average across all major Exchanges.

Discuss.

Can't say much as now.
Most people thought BCC/BCH would be quickly dumped but someone/many people are constantly buying BCC/BCH.
Either they are pumping the coin or they think the coin has a bright future.
Depends much on how Bitmain uses theirs hardware.

If that it so, it would be good news to some. But in our country, most virtual wallets do not support the bitcoin cash.
Let's see in the days ahead what will happen to the currency after the split.  Huh
240  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: August 01, 2017, 05:44:55 AM
Hi Coins.ph

I am a globe subscriber and I have noticed that it takes time for your app to load ( when buying load, using Globe prepaid here) compared to other networks. Not sure if it's the app (becasue I constantly update it) or just another network problem. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. God Bless and keep up the good work  Grin
