I for myself enjoy the updates here, as I open this forum much more often than Peercoin's own forum. So @Sentinelrv, I hope you do not really have plans to cease posting updates at Bitcointalk.

I’m referring only to the website updates, where I will take a “when it’s finished” approach from now on. All other updates will continue as normal.

Also, I wouldn’t waste your time arguing. He’s still trying to argue for a miner tax when we’ve already explained the following points numerous times...

- A miner tax results in increased inflation of the supply due to the dynamic PoW block reward.
- The Peercoin Foundation already has enough money to do what it needs to do. More doesn’t help.
- A web team is already hired, however content can only be done by volunteers on the team with expertise.
- Proper marketing first needs something to market, such as the incomplete items mentioned by d5000.
- Being a “top paid developer” does not automatically make them an expert in Peercoin’s codebase.
- There is a very limited pool of developers with the necessary experience to choose from that can help.

It would be most helpful if he stops fighting with the team and accept the reality of the above points.

Peercoin bag holders should get out now this coin has no future peercoin team is,too, slow, too act and too, set,in there ways and there is no marketing no branding and no interest in peercoin

Nothing gets done at peercoin 7 months and still there isn't new website the peercoin team is living in another world

I just got done giving everyone an update here 5 days ago...

The website has only been worked on for the past several months, not as long as you describe here. I posted a recent update on it here...

https://talk.peercoin.net/t/the-bear-market-is-really-there/7821/35

If all you two are going to do is continue to complain and drag down the mood here then I'm not going to give anymore updates at all as it seems they are not appreciated. I'm not your personal pumper and I'm going to take as long as I feel is necessary to make something that is of quality. If you can't deal with that then either make your own website or go somewhere else. I'm not listening to it anymore.

For over 176 days and still no new website

the peercoin team has no sense of urgency about anything and they just don’t get it

First of all, you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, so you are speaking about things you don’t fully understand. Outward appearances do not indicate the current level of activity in the team.

Second, d5000 is correct. Peercoin had little development for several years. Some of you are completely underestimating the amount of time it takes to update Peercoin to where it needs to be. We are currently making great progress and the recent foundation has helped speed certain things up. We are currently in a bear market, so this is the perfect time to get important work done to be ready for when market sentiment changes again.

If one of the devs is here: Is there any possibility to add TaPoS to Peercoin? It could improve "fork resolution" greatly. (I'll propose that in the Peercoin forum if there is no reaction here.)

I don’t know if you will get an answer, but it would probably be best to ask on the forum.

and isn't following the "Not-Invented-Here syndrome".

I don’t think you have to worry about this.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PPC] PPCoin Released! - First Long-Term Energy-Efficient Crypto-Currency on: June 10, 2018, 07:08:58 AM
The current hold up on the website is because I am writing a full description of Peercoin. It starts from the very beginning, the distributed public ledger, what a blockchain is, its main purpose and benefits, PoW vs PoS, Peercoin's development philosophy, our specific mechanics and economics, such as the hybrid protocol, destruction of transaction fees, etc... It is basically a guide from start to finish that fully details the main points of Peercoin, something we lack right now on the current website. This content takes a long time to form. Once it's done it will need to be reviewed and edited by the team and then we will have graphics created to visualize different parts of the text to make it easier to understand.

it wouldn't hurt if the website looked nice probably in some green tones

This is what it will look like. More green will be used in the design and much less gray.

I'm in favour of this plan we should move forward with it

I think it would be more effective if you make an account on the forum and post that in the thread. Nobody will see your post here except me.

As long as the miners are onboard I think this is an excellent idea is there a way too check with the miners see how they feel about this proposal ppc will go up in price the miners will be better off

Miners are not responsible for upgrading the network (only PoS minters) so I don't think so. As far as I know they can only voice their opinion on that forum thread. It's difficult to know how many are even aware the discussion is taking place.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PPC] PPCoin Released! - First Long-Term Energy-Efficient Crypto-Currency on: June 05, 2018, 03:40:54 AM
I posted something here with some rough math...

https://talk.peercoin.net/t/it-is-proposed-to-allocate-ten-percent-of-the-proceeds-from-the-mining-to-the-foundation/7872/71

The question for me is how this would impact mining participation at Peercoin. Would miners leave because they feel cheated by the tax or would they support it as you say they did at Vertcoin.

Protocol development in Peercoin is very specialized and there are only a handful of people that have heavily studied it that are capable of developing for us. More funding will not help in this case and we already have dedicated people looking after the protocol.

However funding will help development of projects outside of the core protocol and we already have plans to obtain this funding without the need to alter mining/minting rewards like what was proposed in that thread. There is no reason to worry. We will have funding to hire the people we need to do the work that has to be done.

Peercoin biggest piece of junk coin out there and devolpmemt team does nothing

Peercoin is one of the worst performing coins vs bitcoin since 2014 and yet the devolpmemt team thinks there doing a great job what a joke

We are volunteers. Don’t act like we owe you anything. We are here because we care about building a blockchain that is reliable and actually decentralized, instead of only paying lip service to that idea by using it as a marketing gimmick.

Go join one of the many other projects out there with paid developers that introduce flaws and vulnerabilities by rushing things. I’m sure Verge would be happy to have you.

We are working on 6-7 major projects with our small team and many of us sacrifice the majority of our free time to do this. We are doing the best we can with the manpower we currently have available. If you want us to move faster then stop complaining and get involved. Find us more quality developers or help with marketing or in some other way.

Just swinging by and am glad to see peercoin is still alive. This was my 2nd coin I purchased back in the day. I need to read up on what's going on with the project.

Where is the team hanging out these days?
