Another test layout. Hey man, I just want to make sure you know I'm not trying to rip off and take credit for your design or anything. I just really like different things about your version and what has been posted so far, for example the green eco-style background and the coin combined with your layout and buttons. I think it's important that we stick with the greenish background rather than the gray, since it represents an eco theme. In this updated version I chose to replace ppcoin.org with p2p coin. I wanted to make sure p2p was somewhere on the website because it tells people what pp means, for those who don't know. I added the new buttons you included since they look better. I also changed the button text from Paper to "How it Works". Maybe paper can still be included somewhere else, but I think it's important that we include a link to a page that properly explains exactly what ppcoin is in laymans terms. I removed the ppcoin = proof of stake + proof of work phrase. Although I do like it, I think it would confuse people that are new to the cryptocurrency world. I just added p2p coin and that was it. I think the better idea would be to just explain what proof of stake is on the how it works page and how it's a better system than bitcoin.

Excellent, it would be a great start on the road to improving pp.org it shouldn't continue the way it currently looks for much longer as its not to be taken seriously in its current format. Is that a Grand Theft Auto map in the background? Seriously, I looked at the website when I first learned of the coin and was like WTF? Luckily I looked past it and did some more research, but who knows how many people have been turned away because of it. This will be a huge step in giving ppcoin more credibility.

^^ That is good. Here are the updated designs from the people I'm working with. Just so everybody is clear, I don't care in the slightest which logo is picked, I've not worked on any of them personally. If some definitive choice is made, however, then I'm going to stop working with them as it just cost my time ultimately. I personally haven't liked any of those designs, but thanks for helping out. The more we have to choose from the better. And speaking of choice, how exactly are we going to nail down which one to use? Should we start another thread with a poll in it or does Sunny have the final say? We should also decide on the slogan. "Currency Needn't Cost the Earth" is more obvious it's eco-friendly where "Redefining the Nature of Curreny" is more subtle. Not sure which one I like better. Also, I'm not sure if I like the updated design as much. There seems to be too much going on now, where the previous version was simpler and cleaner. I also don't like the ridges around the outside of the coin, though others might. I haven't seen Bitcoin or Litecoin use ridges before. I think we need to have more opinions on it.

Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: P2P Exchange for bitcoin

Good news: Jeff Berwick just said this on his blog today: I am now focusing more of my efforts on less physical ventures that will be much harder to be controlled by governments and central banks. Things such as a P2P bitcoin exchange, similar to Mt. Gox, but without any central servers. That's some major cash, folks! If we can get the right P2P programmer with us on this, Jeff could fund/PR it into existence easily. Has anyone involved with this project tried contacting him to make him aware of it? He also said this in his blog... "If you or anyone you know is one of the top percentile programmers and theorists in P2P protocols please contact us here at TDV."Not sure if anyone here is a P2P programmer, but it sounds like he's interested in hearing from people that want to build something like this.
