Hello I made a deposit on April 12 for 500 dollars using a money gram at a Walmart
It has not arrived in my Mt Gox account.

I believe I am in the camp where I put the wrong exchange account number (the one listed by Mt gox to use in the 'add funds' page is different from the account number)

I have logged it through the main channel, bitinstant.com/contact but have yet to hear anything else from you.
I emailed charlie twice.

If you can take a look at my transaction that would be great. I can pm you my mt gox account number if need be. Thanks.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Sorry for the questions as I can see there are many people here with more pressing matters but my questions should be easy to answer.I attempted to process a transaction for cash deposit to Bitstamp and it gave me an error.Now I see that option is no longer available.Have you pulled support for bitstamp because of all the issues?Will it that option return?Are you just out of funds on Bitstamp?

Are online bank transfers not allowed for US customers yet? I don't see the option in the drop down menu. I hate using moneygram at CVS. Their internet went down last time I sent money and I had to wait there 30 minutes to confirm the transaction went through. If it's not allowed yet, is there an ETA?

Would a Bitinstant rep please take action on getting my refund? It's bad enough that my $2500 transaction on 04/20/13 (Order ID# cae140dd-5bd1-46e2-b392-51c5acbcac7a) wasn't automatically voided by exceeding the purchase limit, but I don't understand why it's taking Bitinstant so long to return my money. I've notified support both here and thru the Bitinstant contact support but no action has been taken to return my money or to give me an update on the status to correct the issue. I'm starting to feel worried.




Sorry for the delay with this one, mel2000. I can go ahead and push the funds through right now to the btc wallet you originally provided in your order. Just let me know if that's ok and I'll take care of this immediately.

We could potentially make changes to your order but it would further delay any resolution.

Are online bank transfers not allowed for US customers yet? I don't see the option in the drop down menu. I hate using moneygram at CVS. Their internet went down last time I sent money and I had to wait there 30 minutes to confirm the transaction went through. If it's not allowed yet, is there an ETA?

Moneygram is terrible. I feel ancient everytime I have to walk up to a counter with cash in hand as well to pay a bill. I always make fun of those people for not having the internet, but now that I have to do it sometimes with deposits it's like the walk of shame.

I received .4 more BTC.  That gives me a price of $476.257605/(.4 + 3.70151298) = $116.117541825 per bitcoin.

I made this purchase on the april 12 2013.  04/12/2013.  at 1:35 PM Eastern Standard Time.  The MtGox chart uses UTC, which is 4 hours ahead, so it correlates with 18:35 MtGox time.  The purchase was processed by ZipZap at 2:21 EST, which is 19.21 UTC.  

Over this time, it was never near $116 per bitcoin.

The high for the 18:00 UTC hour was 89.7.  The high for the 19:00 hour was 95.89.

So, I am clearly still owed money.  You said earlier that the price was based on when the order was placed which would make the MAX price for me at $89.7 per BTC.  

$476.257605 / 89.7= 5.30944933 BTC
I have been paid 4.10151298 BTC.
So I am still owed, AT LEAST, 5.30944933 - 4.10151298 = 1.20793635 BTC

I really have no idea how the research team came up with the price it did.

This all depends on getting the right payment partners, we're constantly seeking new partners for this very reason and will announce it when we have something like this available.

We can't send cash to a bitcoin address but we can send bitcoins to a bitcoin address.

I can't completely agree considering the position I am in.

However, I will say that I have had my own difficulties with Moneygram at times.  One of those issues was trying to deposit two transactions which were the same amount.  The system saw it as a duplicate transaction and I had to wait 24 hours before depositing the 2nd transaction.  The solution is to vary the deposit #s so they are not seen as dupes.

Let's put it this way...bitcoin and all of it's learning curves teaches patience.  Does it not?  Wink
