1261  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: September 20, 2013, 10:16:47 AM
I'm also in the boat of wanting to pay shipping costs via PayPal.  I don't have any BTC yet -- that's kind of the point of buying this miner! :-)

I've yet to find anywhere I feel comfortable registering my fiat details to exchange fiat for BTC, or those sites that look reasonable to me have weeks long processes for your first exchange, or they charge some very high fees when all I need is less than 1 BTC to pay for shipping.

I'm disappointed to hear you're thinking of making us pay in BTC for shipping when we were able to pay for the hardware via PayPal!

Hey davmp.

Not making you pay BTC for shipping, just saying it would be much better for us if you could. Paypal is still totally fine for all batch one stuff. Basically i'm just trying to encourage as many people as possible to pay with BTC if they can, but if you can't or its too difficult or expensive to, paypal is fine, no problem. For those of you who can pay in BTC for shipping please feel free to begin sending through payments (some of you already have. thanks) All those who want paypal, i'll get something sorted for paypal shipping payments soon.

Barntech
For group 1
do we pay for shipping once devices are ready to ship out?

1265  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] BFL 4 GH/s Chips - .50 btc per chip: 2988 available (512/3500 sold) on: September 19, 2013, 10:42:46 PM
I am hearing few people have got an email from BFL asking them to pay the remainder 50% and the chips will be delivered with in 1 week or so. Have you got it as well?
If yes, count me for those 64 chips at 0.5 BTC each Smiley I can do the payment once BFL ships it to you and u have the tracking number Smiley

I apologize profusely to those who have been waiting for delivery from BFL, in some cases for over a year, but they appear to be sending out bulk chip orders on schedule. I received my chips today, exactly 100 days after paying my deposit. I bought from KnCminer and Metabank at the same time and have received nothing so far from them. No sure whether this is because it's much simpler to send just chips (Avalon chip buyers might disagree) or because BFL was motivated to collect the balance due on delivery. However this might be a better pre-order model going forward: Collect half upfront and half on delivery...

That is very good news

1268  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: September 17, 2013, 11:28:30 PM
i have a question on the efficiency

When i mine using bfgminer on pi and mine coins like PPC or BTC it hashes at max speed

but when i mine any alt coins such as ZET or OSC or any other coin besides PPC or BTC i never get the 10 ghash unless i use mining proxy from windows

any ideas what is going on?

1269  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] batch #23/24 .105 btc USB + 4 btc NEW Blade miners on: September 17, 2013, 05:33:11 PM
Just to say thanks again to canary - USB-BE's arrived quick, well packed - great service.

My only regret is they're ugly black units and my collection doesn't yet have a single nice blue one Sad

i will swap a blue for 2 black ones haha j/k

Which mining site will I be able to run these without a computer? Thank you for the help.

any asic coin that has getwork can be mined from the blade itself without the need of a computer

1276  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Group Buy #15 Blade Miners 3.60 BTC or less! Shipping to USA addresses on: September 17, 2013, 02:08:37 AM
any backplane that can be purchased on their own from previous group buys or left overs?

1277  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: September 16, 2013, 09:34:29 PM
yes i have them but i didn't paste them in here

If you are sure the username and pass match what you have in the blade config, I don't know what else might be wrong.  Maybe there is something in the debug.log that will help you.

blocks are flowing in now Smiley

what fixed it?

i had to wallet servers running at the same time

that was the error and one wallet with the wrong ip the blade could not connect to it
