1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monetha ICO $30 million Sold out in few minutes on: August 31, 2017, 11:06:20 PM
Did they sell to institutions? That was pretty fast!
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monaco or Tenx? on: August 31, 2017, 11:04:39 PM
Also looks like TenX has the merchant agreement in place whereas Monaco is still negotiating with Visa.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] FunFair.io - Disrupting Online Gaming - New Casino Platform on: August 31, 2017, 11:01:52 PM
Yes, coins will be burned that was to be involved in the second token phase. However, since they don't need to raise anymore money, they are going to lower the coins sold and burn the rest.

1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: August 31, 2017, 06:43:40 AM
Last info from mco

If this information you posted is correct then today we can see a real surge in the price of the token. I am excited to see what will happen today.

Maybe just a matter of not if but when. Official announcement with Visa will definitely increase the confidence of this coin.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 31, 2017, 05:34:58 AM
Really pissed with the website... I'm new to cryptocurrencies and trying to buy my 1st miner..NOT EASY HUM !
Tried last batch, couldnt do anything... This time decided to try in 3 computers at the same time -ninjamode- Couldnt order 1 miner for Europe as I wanted...got an order for 5 at the same time for United Stades .

Do you think they can change my order ? I've never had a response from a ticket

Wait, you created an order for 5 machines for the US? But you are in Europe?
1248  Other / Meta / Re: How is Activity calculated? on: August 31, 2017, 05:32:55 AM
Most people have more posts than activity, but my activity always catches up with my posts ? Huh Huh Huh
This is the explanation :
Post ≠ activity but you need to post to get activity every activity update.
This is the calculation how activity calculated :
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

In my mind, I just believe my activity just levels up 14 every two weeks.
1249  Other / Meta / Re: When does a ranking change on: August 31, 2017, 05:31:44 AM
I guess that ranking up makes sense to prevent a mass influx of new users to just use it to join sig compaigns.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Fee is Expensive !!! on: August 31, 2017, 05:29:43 AM
Yes, SegWit should greatly reduce prices. However, things like LTC and Eth will definitely have lower costs.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin mining (newbie) on: August 31, 2017, 05:28:23 AM
I have read some articles on how to earn bitcoins. It says that newbie (like me) shouldn't pursue bitcoin mining and veterans know why? I'm a little bit confused.. Does it really cost much more money than it will generate?  Huh

many articles said you to not mining Bitcoin especially for newbie it's because you need to know about the expanse and the difficulty.
first, you can not mining Bitcoin right now using CPU and VGA(i mean it was no longer profitable).
before start mining you need to buy an expensive hardware+you need to pay the electricity(imagine it,that you need to run your hardware for 24/7).
other than that you need to do a daily maintenance to keep it healthy in order to generate the coin.
then,the difficulty.
right now it's really high, that mean it won't generate a lot of coins.

that is why they said to not mining Bitcoin, especially for newbies.

Thanks for answering. Now I get it! I didn't know it requires an expensive hardware. Electricity alone here in our country is too expensive already. I think mining is realy a "no no" for me.

Yea, mining is absolutely hard without any ASIC machines.
1252  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is Exodus a safe desktop wallet alternative? on: August 31, 2017, 05:26:48 AM
What altcoin do they have support for - doge ,ltc , dash?

You can store, and also exchange following coins directly in the wallet: Aragon, Augur, Bitcoin, Dash, Decred, EOS, Ethereum, Golem and Litecoin.

Changing coins in Exodus is done via Shapeshift, correct? Are Shapeshift's fees high or reasonable?

They are decently reasonable for their convenience. I turned 3k from LTC into Golem and it charged about $90 I believe.

1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 31, 2017, 05:19:18 AM

1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: for US Citizens: if you use VPN to buy into ICO, can the Government penalize? on: August 31, 2017, 05:15:45 AM
So I live in the USA, New York State.

If I use a VPN to buy into an ICO, will the US Gov't or even New York state government punish me somehow?

Just don't send the btc from Coinbase and you may not have to use a VPN. The IRS is trying to get details from Coinbase on American bitcoin spending habits.

Don't ever send from an exchange to a ICO.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO - The Ethereum of China (Invest before you regret) on: August 31, 2017, 05:13:33 AM
I am definitely bearish. The Chinese government does not fuck around. They definitely want to prevent a bubble.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just hold or sell high -> buy low from time to time? on: August 31, 2017, 04:57:13 AM
I love buying the dips. Makes more money in the end usually for me. If there is a really bad coin though, I may just be left with holding heavy bags.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: August 31, 2017, 04:55:27 AM

1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors Beware: China to Give Death Penalty to ICO Traders? on: August 31, 2017, 04:53:53 AM
Chinese ICOs are crazy. The government just wants to prevent the next bubble. Everyone is just printing money in China then when it busts, lots of bag holders.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RPX] Red Pulse Token – Next Generation Intelligence and Content Ecosystem on: August 31, 2017, 04:51:54 AM
I like the low cap but it seems hard to flip if the Chinese cannot buy or have problems buying it. I cannot participate Sad.
