What should worry us is where it is going once BTC crashes I doubt many of "us" (here at least) would care. If there is massive FUD in BTC I doubt BCash remains over $1000. Well, we are parabolic, so won't need FUD. Maybe this time we are in an S curve but not sure. Assume we go down to 4-5k and lots of the parabolic money move to BCH as a safe heaven, then it won't be hard to catch BTC anymore |

I don't think there is 'one' cartel moving coordinated attacks (there might be but seems strange) - remember to make money there must be a sucker on the derivatives side! Eventually they will have to fight each other for profit |

My understanding is that they can short only what was bought, the rest is cash settled, so huge leverages will not change the btc market...
Sure, they might sell their btcs to manipulate the exchange, but honestly I don't think it will be sustainable in the long term if adoption continues; also I think these futures have been there in Japan already if I am not wrong and nothing happened

But I didn't cry, and I didn't sell at a loss. I just DCA-ed down and hodled. And had to listen to the squawk of bears and trolls for 18 months straight. Now I have big smile. And balls of steel.  Hopefully wont be 18 months this time either, but yeah, listening to bears might be the worst punishment :p |

I have no idea whether 3 grand is at all realistic but they'll have more clue than most of us. He also screwed up basically all calls after that  I think there should be an old bitcoiner disease called mtgox post traumatic stress disorder, where you keep making predictions of btc going to 500$ or 1000$ (note, he said 'at least 3000') I dont get any get any credit for my good calls. In 2014 I drew a chart with a 2 year retracement with a bottom around $300 before recovering at hitting ATH. Everyone thought it was super bearish and laughed me out. In 2015 after the breakout to $500 I said the market had reversed and the bear market was over but there will have to be 35% dip first over several months before the next leg. Both bulls and bears were laughing at me. But what about your charts lately? Didnt you predict another few bear years in Jan? Also, lets assume it will blow off at 13k (probably a lot higher... but let's assume so). By saying 3k you are expecting a drop of 77%. This never happened in bitcoin... And if we get to 25-40k, it would be even higher! Everything is possible in crypto though, will be happy to come back to this topic and apologize if I am wrong, I am just questioning your data |

IF $10,000 holds (and that's a big if, but I'm feeling optimistic), then we've achieved the 12th Bitcoin doubling floor since $2.50. This puts the latest doubling floor at only 50 days, beating the previous run of 77 days. The record still belongs to the $20-$40 runup, which took only 39 days to "permanently" double. Anyhow, at this rate, we might have a brand new $20k floor by mid January!   Hopefully we won't have a "FINEXXED" |

Graph 1 demonstrate price in 2013 after the peak, graph 2 shows a similar pattern without peak ($15000 equivalent) http://sv.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=16ht56o&s=9#.WiS2vDdry70http://sv.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2lk8rk7&s=9#.WiS2ijdry70Based on personal investment research I think a plausible scenario will be as follows: 1) Bitcoin goes to $15 000 around futures opening and a few days after with high volatility, sentiment suggests this price as a sell target for some investors, also: sell the news 2) Whales short bitcoin relentlessly, data suggests this is a plausible outcome as they aim to "stabilize the price" i.e short. 3) small savers see investment dwindle over a period of years to a low of around -75% of current price, it will be a capitulation of this generation of savers and resets bitcoin at the cusp of the 2020's in 2 years 4) altcoin boom of 2020's or other disruptive emergence, possibly fiat crisis side note: I don't believe price gains are a result of concealed hyper inflation since traditional commodities remain horizontal Conclusion: sell part of investment in 50% gain, buyback at -75% in 6 months 1- to short, someone must buy 2- its very likely that whatever happens in futures has little effect on bitcoin as it is cash settled 3- Unless they all,only short, they cant keep btc down for years I call the case closed |
