No doubt, ethereum gave the crypto community the deserve needs by creating dapps/smart contract back then but ethereum wasn't the best altcoin because of that for it was the best altcoin because the crypto community trust the ability of it team.
Concern it price, it logical for ethereum price to surpass previous ATH before the end of next year but what the OP was asking is the coin current price status which I believe it still experience more dump than pump till this year Q4.
