201  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: March 12, 2018, 08:26:56 AM
What other problem do you think came out of this solution?
Merit selling, merit abuse, merit farner, merit gossiping, merit harrasment, merit bullying

By making it impossible for account farmers to rank up the merit system has cut off the influx of spammers. That is getting to the root cause of the problem.
That is not the right calculation here, ealier on
Another thing, the amount that will be collected from ico spammers will be tiny comparing to ads, so the answer is NO, NO and NO!
If the amount that will be collected from ico spammers will be tiny comparing to ads then why would we need the alternative cryptocurrencies at all where all the ICO spamming is happening, just close it and why would we need signature which one way this ICO spammer thriving here.

The question is why need signature and alternative cryptocurrencies at all? what is the reason having to keep it despite its bring disaster to the forum and there is no monetary gain keeping it in the system.

203  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: March 12, 2018, 04:01:03 AM
Can we pay also a small fee for merit as a starter? Just hoping. It's like one-time transaction for newbies or newly Jr. Member to have merits and the fund will go to the forum...

Will NEVER happens.
What's the point to force people to post constructively and to contribute to the progress of others in the forum then?
Another thing, the amount that will be collected from ico spammers will be tiny comparing to ads, so the answer is NO, NO and NO!
Why don't just close alternate crytocurrencies then or disable everyone signature, if not we just create the problem and then introduce a solution and then another problem comes out of the solution itself, create another solution.

Why don't just go to the root cause and stop it.

For the point 16: the answer isn't source, it is actually a name of a user in this topic
209  Other / Archival / Re: bitcointalk profile URL on: March 11, 2018, 02:45:06 PM

Right Click on your username and then you can copy your profile ID link address

Mouse over your username on your posting you will see the profile link at the browser status usually on the bottom left.
Click on your username and you go to your profile page, now your profile ID link is at the browser address bar, you can copy it from there

Not arts, just quotes snipping graphical instruction for Newbie

Here is a better view of how to snip quotes

to remove the quote in the red box as shown above and leave only tbct_mt2 comment as a quote in your post, delete the text as highlighted in blue in the image below

After removing the blue highlighted part above you will have something like this in your preview editor

Code:
[quote author=tbct_mt2 link=topic=3092072.msg31917586#msg31917586 date=1520600077]
Thanks for your suggestion. I will create new topic to Beginners & help.
I have checked the link you gave. In fact, the creator of topic you mentioned created his topic after mine.

Edited: I have moved the topic from Meta to Beginners & help board.
[/quote]

and the result should be like this when you click on preview button to view how its look like

wants to get answer to this question as well
As far as I know BRAND NEW AND NEWBIE MEMBERS cant possibly put some image to their posts not until they already achieved the JR.  MEMBER rank.
Pardon me buddy this may be off topic but may I ask you how'd you get that badge or rank "Copper Member"?

You have to subscribe to paid membership you can browse here to read about it
212  Other / Meta / Re: Post images as Newbie on: March 11, 2018, 06:50:41 AM
wants to get answer to this question as well
Since you have upgraded your account to Copper Member you should be able to post image, just put the Direct Link of your image inside img tag

Code:
put the direct link to your image here
[/img]
213  Other / Meta / Re: Can jr members give merits for posts on: March 10, 2018, 11:15:59 AM
1 sMerit= 2 Merits
When you receive 2 Merits you earn a sMerit which you can award to the person whose post you find interesting which broaden your knowledge. Not only a junior, this goes for a user of any rank here on this forum. Receive 2 merits to give 1 sMerit.
Go on, work hard, post well. Earn merits, reward sMerits and keep the cycle going!

For the sake of correct mathematical formula the correct formula should be:

Amount of Merit received = Merit + 0.5(Merit)sMerit
                                              = Merit (1+0.5sMerit)

and not 1 sMerit= 2 Merits

ada member kat sini pergi event Hub 2018 semalam?

215  Other / Meta / Re: How do you upload a photo on bitcointalk.org???? on: March 10, 2018, 12:30:03 AM

^^^^^^If you see the above error, that is because you put in the image link and not direct link, what you need is the Direct Link of the image [red box below], if you use imgur.com copy direct link and wrap the link between the img link opening and closing tag
Code:
put your direct link here, must be direct link with the image file name must present here
Code:
[/img]
so it must be like this
Code:
[img]https://i.imgur.com/ieYo0EJ.jpg[/img]
Notice the image file name must be there, in the above example it is [ieYo0EJ.jpg]

Or if you want a quick way copy the BBCode (message boards and forums) code [shown in the yellow box below] and then just paste it into SMF preview editor no need to wrap it with any tags

In fact, I created my topic before yours. What a coincidence!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3092072.msg31917586#msg31917586
I will update my topic, bit I would like to move it to Beginners & help board. How to do this? Do I have to create a new one?

Don't create new one that is against the forum rules

There is 2 ways to move it.

1. From your thread, scroll to the bottom you will see move topic click on it and proceed

2. From thread listing you will see arrow like in the red box in the image below, click on it and proceed from there

I think the opportunity to post inline images on a forum such as this one does more harm than good, much like the option to specify the font size and colour. Disallowing those would significantly reduce the problem you describe. One can always refer to images, videos etc. by linking to them.
Not all people like to click here and there redirecting their attention everywhere and then forgetting everything, some people like everything laid down in one piece on one page, some prominent forumer here use this variation of font size and colour to emphasize and organized certain thing in their posting so disallowing probably is not acceptable, you can always download lynx browser and browse this forum in text only if you have strong dislike of all the flashy stuff and different size of font.

its probably bad in your view, but on the other hand some of the information like price movement cannot be describe with words in plain text only, you need chart in graphic form with variation of colour and font size to present it properly.
220  Other / Meta / Re: Can jr members give merits for posts on: March 09, 2018, 09:39:12 AM
Someone says that you should read before posting
Someone says that you should read meta before posting in meta
Someone says that you should read the merit thread before posting about merit
Someone says that without doing the above you are a shitposter

/thread.. lock it and move on

Apparently what he say is true, he just need confirmation, that mean he read it somewhere, Jr Member can send sMerit but they don't have it to start with, so they have to earn at least 2 Merit after that they will be able to send sMerit.

Where did it states specifically that Jr Member can send sMerit ? there is none of them mention here, so he is right asking the question here. The fact that they don't have it to start with, making it more difficult for them to guess whether they can send sMerit or not, you are just being merit bully here.

If you don't understand what he say you don't need to reply, you are what you call him here since your reply does not add any value to the discussion just accusing people of bad posting here and there, you are not helpful to others here, you probably the one who abuse the ranking system before with your meaningless post everywhere just to reach the next ranking post count.
