301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: April 29, 2014, 05:32:45 PM
So if the masternodes are required to keep 1k DRK on them, why do any of sender A's coins even need to be used for the change? It would make more sense if it went something like this:

10 People send transactions which use the default 10 DRK. The master node parks the 100 coins and uses 100 of the 1000 DRK that are just sitting there with absolutely no tie to anyone's wallet addresses in the current block transactions. This way there will be a several block disconnect between you sending the coins and the coins actually getting to a recipient. If you try to analyze the block chain you'll see the coins go to a wallet, sit there for X number of blocks then it gets sent to another address. Neither the sender nor the receiver will receive the coins that they actually sent, but the same value of coins that other users have sent.

I hope that makes sense.

Is it possible that today's price drop is made by multipool sell? I can't believe that anybody would sell at this price. What are we doing with multipools mining and  dumping pot?

I'm guessing someone dumped their least favorite coin so they could buy into another coin on the rise. I've had to do it before, sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.

Thanks to CryptoGuy for this suggestion!
(coin background omitted for now)
How's this?

Much better, I like it.

Note: Not all our competitors supply PSUs and Touch Screen LCDs, therefore if we compare our miners with these we will subtract the price of our extra hardware before the price match.
No one asked you to install touchscreen LCDs... nor was it mentioned in the specs when people placed their orders.

I'd have to agree there, no other miner that I can think of comes with an LCD screen.

Please VOTE for the "T" & troll design you prefer, the coin portion of these designs is not yet complete, a day or 2 for that.

1 or 2?

I am partial to #1.  I also would like to see a nice straight edge on the coin.

I vote for #1 with the T from #2. The eyes on #2 looks like the troll is scared of something and hiding.

You need to talk to the maker of that vending machine and have it also accept POT.

We need urgently a Mazacoin pump, as nobody is talking about Mazacoin anymore... we need to get it back in the picture Smiley

Yeah, because we don't already have enough people pissed because they bought at the top and lost a bunch of money on MZC. That's exactly what we need right now.

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [2014 FLAGSHIP ALT] *EarthCoin* EAC +1 Community, +1 Exec Team, +1 Best Talent on: April 04, 2014, 03:18:50 PM

"As an aside, it is quite humorous to me that Auroracoin has a $23+ MILLION dollar market capitalization, while Earthcoin sits only at less than $100K. Now you see the copycats like SpainCoin, GreeceCoin, SiliconValleyCoin, Etc. hurrying to cash in on the 'newest fad' coin to get pumped & dumped by the Devs. Eventually the sheeple will get tired of playing the (suckers) game, and look for value, and a coin that has stood the test of time, and the trial by fire. "

My thoughts:

Not that long ago, in January of 2014 I believe, the market cap for EAC was a smidge under $1 MIL, in fact, I specifically remember people posting about it. Now as I look at coinmarketcapdotcom it states EAC is at 97K??? Where is the 900 grand, did that all disappear somehow? Can someone explain that to me like a child? How does a coin lose $900,000 in value? Was that $$$ paid in and then was all taken out. Maybe I'm confused about how the market cap works but all I can think is WTF? Makes no sense to me, who has all that money that was put into the earthcoins?

I certainly appreciate all the efforts of the devs and other forum members that have developed websites & services, products around the coin but if all the coins combined right now are only worth 97 grand, somebody has that money and has taken it from the community that has built value into eac??? Confused

I'm guessing there are a lot of people who took some big losses and sold to "stop the bleeding" so to speak. If someone bought in at 10k satoshis and then sells at 5k satoshis, 50% of that value is gone instantly. Multiply that across the market and there's your evaluation. On the other hand, some will be making some huge profits if the coin value goes back up.

I dont know, but I can't get any response from Bobsag3, Matt or Thomson for about 1 week about refund. That really look suspicious for me now.

From what I understand, if you bought from BA directly there is currently no refund but they're working on it. If you bought from Minersource batch 1 you can get a refund, batch 2 no refund because it's not technically delayed yet. People have been getting refunds through MS but only batch 1.

Personally, I'm in batch 1 so I'm keeping my order. Once they get their first round of miners through and the process is streamlined, I'm gonna enjoy that 10% discount. No risk, no reward as they say.

UPDATE?

The only update I have is that he's moved the coins from the original wallet.

As well as the payments he received from this thread for some Antminer U2's:
