Here's a way to help keep the 2x and 5x payout's from ruining anything. Assuming miners are making a profit off Earthcoin on the normal payouts, they need a reason to keep the bonus payouts for themselves. If we got hardware retailers to accept Earthcoins, this would be incentive for the miners to horde the bonuses so they can put it toward more hashing power.

By popular demand in the Logo POLL that was posted recently, most users like the original design, but with a few tweaks. What are your thoughts on this version of the Coin's image?  I like it, but I think the grain of the coin shouldn't transverse the lettering. It makes it look blurry. |

How many of this coin will be mined in the first year?
Also, I know that there will eventually be 1.6billion coins, but if it remains popular, do you think there is reasonable chance of it reaching $0.10 or so this year? WDC is trading now at $0.34 and it just started at the 1st half of 2013. With this activity and community supporting USDe, it is a possibility. Yes, but Worldcoin is only going to have 265,420,800 in total, correct? Could a coin with a max of 1.6 bil do the same? Or does the max not really matter because what matters is however many coins that have been mined thus far? Because like if there is going to be only 50mil USDe minted this year, then perhaps...thoughts? The number of coins matters little. It's the number of adopters that will cause the price to rise. Look at Dogecoin, 100 Billion total coins and they're still hanging in there. |

I have 12377 USD-e. Is that a lot?
It's all relative. Mining alone, someone with the same hashing power as you will never catch up. I like to think of it this way, what if you had mined 12377 Bitcoins back in 2009, would that be enough today? |

Not been following the thread closely, what happens at block 27000?
USDE becomes the standard global currency and all fiat currency is no longer accepted as an acceptable form of payment. I may be getting just a little ahead of myself here.  Ok so what actually happens is the difficultly will start to increase at a much faster pace. Edit: As the post above me suggests you should read the 1st page because you need to make sure you have the new version of the wallet as well. Cool, my 280k USDe could well pay for a lot a tins of baked beans  I'm solo mining like a mofo until then. Hopefully I can hit a 100k block before it changes Tin of beans, you must be European.. I've only got 1.3 MH but I managed to hit 2 100k blocks for my pool so I decided to solo for a while. So far 7 blocks and 24k coins in about 22 hrs. Can you help me with setting up a solo mining..... i'm mining with two tahiti cards.... using GUI MINER-SCRYPT ALPHA I use CGminer so I'm not sure how much different it is. You need to create usde.conf in your %appdata%\roaming\usde folder with the following lines: listen=1 server=1 daemon=1 rpcuser=usde rpcpassword=x rpcport=12378 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 addnode=23.253.71.56 addnode=192.237.223.87 addnode=23.253.32.222 addnode=149.210.166.111 addnode=84.212.33.227 and this is what I use for the pool: C:\cgminer330\cgminer.exe -o 127.0.0.1:12378 -u usde -p x -scrypt (and whatever options you need) I hope it helps. EDIT: I just realized how old a version of CGminer I'm using. I'm curious if it matters to upgrade or not? |

It's an interesting phenomenon. When there's a large amount of people who claim a coin is dead then it makes a recovery, the trolls come from all directions. I've seen it over many coins now.
Please don't be swayed by the 1 or 2 people talking bad about the coin, it's obvious they're just pissed they either missed or jumped off the train.
