Guys, chill out. DDoS is probably just to drive down the difficulty increase.

New to the pool...do we typically find two blocks per day?
Yep. Last block was super well paid, about 0.01btc/share Smiley

How do I see whether it was a good day or I got the block find bonus? :p

Check the stats page.
Good=more than 2 blocks a day
Good=less shares per block

If "Hide my username" is disabled, your username will appear next to the block in the stats page if you were the one to find it

Yep, getting great payouts, love this pool.

Looks like we are getting super lucky today too, we found 3 blocks in lesa than 15 hours.

So is the pool back up and running now?
The pool was running all the days. The problem is that it's not yet guaranted to be stable. Some short connection problems are still possible because our software is not yet completely fixed.

Well that's what I mean--when will the pool be running at a point where I'm not getting connection problems left and right?

My question is, how can the US govt demand photo IDs from MtGox or even try to shut it down?

For one, the govt doesn't even have control over MtGox. Second, MtGox is not even based in America.

Imagine if Korea tried to shut down Walmart. Yeah, same concept.
309  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the rapid decline in price? on: June 14, 2011, 03:01:14 AM
Seriously, it's dropped from $32 to $10. Wtf.

What's going on? I'm seriously getting concerned now. I've lost over $100.
What, so you bought ~5 BTC at $32 and sold them at $10? Maybe this just isn't your thing, nothing wrong with that.

It's called mining, hurp durp.

I mined 10 BTC, which would have been worth $300 but it was then worth $100. So that's actually a $200 loss for me.

311  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: So ... What pools are NOT having problems right now? on: June 14, 2011, 02:56:36 AM
I'd rather mine on a pool that has a high hash rate so that it can regularly find blocks and not have my payment periods spaced out.

Plus, no UI for my mining data...

Hahahaha, just did an instant payout right now and I got it already Cheesy

Yes, but are there any confirmations?

Yes.

So i took a 3 hr break form mining to see if things would settle down by then. Started my miners back up and still getting connection problems.. Sad Is deepbit getting DDoS'd again along with other pools and websites or is something else going on? What is even the point of DDoS anyways? Is it used to drive down the next difficulty increase? Or just someone or group who hats bitcoins? Does the government ever do shady things like that? Is there any way to trace the attack back to the originator?

Tycho you have any word on when things might be back to normal?

You just asked 7 question in a row.
314  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: So ... What pools are NOT having problems right now? on: June 14, 2011, 01:10:45 AM
Yep, I can confirm Slush is back up. I have the option of their going there or Swepool for the time being...

Swepool works but I'm getting connection problems left and right.
315  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~3000 Gh/s Mining Pool] HTTPS,API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: June 14, 2011, 01:09:42 AM
Yeahhhh reeeeaaallllly not enjoying practically having a Hold on funds

Wait is your BTC showing up in the Bitcoin client?

Are you just saying it's not getting confirmed?
316  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~3000 Gh/s Mining Pool] HTTPS,API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: June 14, 2011, 12:52:58 AM
uhhh i was issued an auto payout at 11am PST and it's now 5:12, Thats six hours.
Wtf? where are my coins

Most probably stuck in the same limbo as my 4.96 coins (been 4 hours+ now, and no sign of the payment progressing on the bitcoincharts), it seems that the transactions got a zero priority since the input coins are unconfirmed:

input: 42.42758891 BTC

    42.42758891 BTC from unconfirmed ec5ac4b7bd51997a03f23bb77c91b4a7d6267fdf08bab217926e347ac721ab21:0 (17hytzuhKtDNqgH78FZPk1nPZy541crspQ)

output: 42.42758891 BTC

    37.46758891 BTC to 1BufeGhiUS9Mjg7hugXewpJopPyybRYK4H
    4.96000000 BTC to 16XrZP4z3Q6JtBMC8MgKg9p7x3UnU3YSVF

Any word on this, Tycho? That's a nice... 100 USD stuck there for who knows how long, the priority hasn't gone up a tad bit in the last 4 hours.

Hahahaha, just did an instant payout right now and I got it already Cheesy

Slush's is down, and apparently they have an IP whitelist, but I have no idea how it works. I don't see any details on it.

Deepbit is giving everyone connection problems.

Swepool was at 0GH/s last time I checked because of some server problems.

SimpleCoin's servers are down.

BTC Guild's servers are having issues because of the large influx of miners coming from other pools with problems. Check their website.

BTCMine's luck has dropped 30% today, so not as wise to mine there.

What options do I have?

Is anyone else having connection problems like this...

320  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Anyone have an explanation for the growing "anonymous" pool of miners? on: June 12, 2011, 08:24:39 PM
The Other piece of the pie looks pretty small to me. What is interesting is the size of deepbit has shrunk pretty significantly
