I was having some doubts about Galatasaray when I first saw their starting 11 for the Umraniyespor match. For now things aren't really going on very comfortable for them. They were 1-0 behind first but now it is 1-1. It is like Barış Alper Yılmaz is the only player doing something on the pitch. Because he was shown a yellow card first after that an own goal by him. Right after that he made up for it by scoring an equalizer. 
Just now Galatasaray have got ahead by 2-1.  It is a goal for Tete which must be some help for his self confidence at the same time. Because Tete couldn't score a single goal until now since the first Copenhagen game in the Champions League group stage. I believe Tete is actually a quite skilled player. He is still 23 years old which is an age very open to development. I still can't believe how Galatasaray managed to sign him for free. Shakhtar filed a claim about this transfer but I guess there isn't any problem for Galatasaray side. |

I also think the same about Hojlund with people who say he is not good enough yet because of being very young and playing in a new environment. At the same time this environment is a much more competitive one than where he came from. In the Serie A he was struggling to adapt and here it is pretty much the same - in the Premier League at least. However I must admit that he was really great in the Champions League. He is still one of top scorers in the tournament you know despite his team's being eliminated in the group stage. Moreover he started to adapt to the Premier League recently as well considering his last performances. I hope he goes on like this. Those who bash him are not good viewers of football honestly. They fail to understand that four of the five goals Rasmus Hojlund converted or scored all came from his own individual performance anf hardwork. Manchester United wingers and attacking midfielder's have indeed created fewer chances for him to score goals. It's okay for people to talk about it because he was brought in for a huge fee. Although I doubt he'll score up to ten league goal in the Premier League Competition this exact season for Manchester United. He's not a bad player, he tracks back and also defends when mandatory. He's gonna make history with the club! Hojlund is at least trying to be better in the Premier League as well which is what I like in him. He doesn't just take a stroll on the pitch in the matches he play. When it comes to the fee amount he was transferred for it is the truth that it is a big one. He was transferred for 74 million euros according to Transfermarkt. But the board must be also aware of the fact that they need to be patient about him. He is only 20 years old now. Comparing him to Haaland wouldn't be fair as there aren't many examples like Haaland in today's football. But in the long run I believe that Hojlund will also be a solid scorer. |

Because he makes 72 million euros per year on his current contract - which goes up to 132 million euros with bonuses.  But would he accept it? I still want to believe in Mbappe not to choose PSG over Real Madrid. I think that Real Madrid is the best place for Mbappe to carry his career to next level. PSG chairman Nasır el-Halifi said that the best place for him is PSG but it is normal to hear such thing from him. He is ready to spend whatever amount is needed to convince Mbappe. I assume that Besiktas fans must be really satisfied with this improvement in their performance as of Fernando Santos' arrival at the team. Because since he arrived they have been continually winning. They did the same against Eyupspor in the Turkish Cup as well by 4-0. I mean you know how amazing Eyupspor have been in the second league. This kind of teams can make serious difficulties for big teams which are having tough days. Maybe it was going to be like that for Besiktas if they didn't bring their new manager earlier. Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray managed to close this week without a loss.It was a bit difficult for Fenerbahçe to score a goal but they managed to score in the 80th minute.Gaziantep was on the field to defend and Fenerbahçe obviously struggled until the last minute to open this defense to find a goal.Galatasaray won the match with a goal scored from a penalty in the second half in a match that closed the first half ahead. When it comes to Inter I personally think that it will be really difficult for them to reach the finale 2 seasons in a row. They just need to get luckier than this in draw phase from now on. For example they are going to face Atletico Madrid in this round. The Spanish team are literally one of the toughest opponents Inter could have drawn really. I don't expect any of the matches in draw to be easy at all for Inter. They are going to face them at Giuseppe Meazza first and they had better win there. Otherwise I think they can say goodbye to the Champions League early. I would like to see Inter in next stages of the tournament to tell the truth. They are having a really solid season. |

Indeed Arsenal have been quite silent in January transfer window. This wasn't what I expected from them especially after Arteta stated it like they would strengthen the squad with new transfers in winter. But I also hope to see at least one move for a specific position. I believe that it could be centre-forward position. Because I don't think either Gabriel Jesus or Eddie Nketiah is good enough these days. Arsenal would make use of a star striker or a young striker who has been shining recently - like Serhou Guirassy. I believe that Guirassy can be much more efficient than both of those two strikers when it comes to scoring goals. This would be a great move for success in the Champions League as well. |
