if you ask me, it smells bad here... the block counter increase... diff still low, it seems the dev try to keep all coins until pos...

Sorry, I messed up on the algo. its not sha256.... It's Scrypt.
sync stuck in 25% please do something

The wallet is synced fine for me. Did you add the node given into your .conf file?

I lost about 470000 Octo due to wallet broken.........
Bye

You were almost certainly mining on your own chain and therefore your blocks were not accepted.

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPBC | NOW LIVE | NO PREMINE | NO ICO | FIRST MEDIA MINING PLAYER on: February 12, 2018, 04:54:53 PM
10k reward in first unknown number of blocks which gives early miners so many coins. which is unfair as they also had lowdifficulty to start with

~16.360.000 IPBC were premined aka first 1636 blocks were 10.000 IPBC each aka "// Sorry. My bad."

Yeah...no. Early miners got a higher reward than they should have for less than 24 hours because of an initial error in the coin config. That's not a premine. The extra rewards were spread among all of the early miners, a premine goes right into the Devs' wallets. Big difference.

We all get that you weren't one of those early miners and that you're bitter about it, but stop with the trolling and FUD.

this is not trolling nor fud. I have been mining. In first few pages. dev said the 10k blocks that pool mined were a 'bug' and those pools need to update. And yet, they continue on the same chain which dev said was a 'bug' to give out 10k blocks. But if you're going to mask your lies by calling everything trolling and fud. I am going to stay away from this project and will ask everyone else do the same.

Funny, I wasn't even replying to you yet you seem to take it very personally. Calling it a "premine", which is the post I replied to, is FUD plain and simple by any normal definition of what a premine is.

As for "my lies" and the rest of your reply, I have no connection to the project at all. Go ahead and show me where anything I posted is factually incorrect.

There was an error made in the coin config. It resulted in 10K rewards for blocks mined in the first day of mining. The error was fixed within 24 hours of mining starting, and the pools were made aware that they needed to update. This affected approximately 1.6% of all coins to be mined, leaving 98.4% unaffected. Those are the facts.

there is no such thing as error resulting in a block reward giving 10k for 24 hours. I am sure it was as intentional as it was left out of the discussion of this thread. 1.8% of supply instamined by miners will be dumped on the investors the first day it hits the exchange. It would be nice if the information was written on the first thread. So we would know this coin has been instamined due to 'error'. But don't bother replying to this. This is an exercise in futility as the coin is already weeks old.

There is no such thing as an error like that? Do you even understand programming and coin configs? Yet you are "sure" that it was intentional without providing any evidence of the sort. It seems you also don't know the definition of instamine, all coins have a low diff in the beginning, this is not an "instamine". Is your user name ironic?
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: QuasarCoin Get Ready for Mining - Will be upgraded to MN on: February 11, 2018, 06:08:16 PM
Any comments from coin creator about this >  Block Found: about 9 hours ago

I was afraid this would happen. Two other coins recently had to restart their chains because they had the exact same problem of the chain getting stuck. The issue is with the forknote code, it is buggy and the devs should have used the bytecoin or monero source instead.

I had mined BBS coin for more than one day now.
Do you have any plane about exchange?

You can't read 3 pages? The information is all here. In fact, it's not even 10 posts above yours on this page.

To the other people, cryptonote coins have rewards that decrease each block. This is common knowledge, educate yourself before you accuse the devs.

People are so lazy...
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ATTN] [ANN] {DRAGONGLASS} mining begins.. on: February 02, 2018, 06:41:47 PM

https://github.com/ZirtysPerzys/dragonglass/blob/master/src/CryptoNoteConfig.h

In this file tell about decimal point parameter name CRYPTONOTE_DISPLAY_DECIMAL_POINT be 7.

I think that refers to the decimal display in the miner app.. example, my last reward was 27.6770048

The CRYPTONOTE_DISPLAY_DECIMAL_POINT = 7 is universal. The MONEY_SUPPLY variable incorporates this value, so giving MONEY_SUPPLY a value of 80000088000008 means that the total supply is 8000008.8000008
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: February 02, 2018, 05:25:36 AM
Why is it that most of the account that use to announce airdrop here are either newbies and Jr Member. It seems to that it is a questionable situation for me to believe whether most of those Airdrop will have any value at all at the end.

It wasn't always like that, this thread used to be full of very high quality airdrops. It seems like the good people left and now it's just newbies spamming ref links. That would normally get you banned or your comment deleted but it seems no one cares anymore.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPBC | NOW LIVE | NO PREMINE | NO ICO | FIRST MEDIA MINING PLAYER on: February 01, 2018, 11:51:11 PM
If 3MH is a lot, then... have a look at how fast the project lost 1 MH in just few hours

https://imgur.com/a/1otDE

That's due to pools being on the wrong chain for a few hours.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPBC | NOW LIVE | NO PREMINE | NO ICO | FIRST MEDIA MINING PLAYER on: February 01, 2018, 11:32:58 PM
You are affecting this project big time, which just caused a loss of 30% hashing power... and it's just starting!
Miners realise their wallets are in endless loopholes and don't get synced ... not even the seed nodes!
What are you gonna cash out if there's no coin to cash out? Stop the greediness

What are you talking about? The seed nodes have been updated, the devs already explained the wallet syncing loop (Due to pools not updating which is out of their control). Hashrate is still at 3 MH/s, which is insanely high for a brand new project. The pools that have updated are all working fine as are the payouts. The coin is doing just fine no matter how much you want it to start over.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPBC | NOW LIVE | NO PREMINE | NO ICO | FIRST MEDIA MINING PLAYER on: February 01, 2018, 10:50:29 PM
I think the dev should do something to fix the impacts from the 10000 bounty bug.

This bug have given large amount of profits to early miners, however, the mining difficult now is about 40x than before. Ignoring these impacts is not a good solution.

Dev should restart the Chain and start mining from Block 1 again...
To have overlooked the reward of 10000 for 1680 blocks is not correct...
Diff is 40X now and Reward has cut down from 10000 to 500...
This is not fair.

In the grand scheme of things, for a coin with an ultimate total supply of 1 Billion, the initial error is virtually negligible. Far more damage would be done to the reputation of the project by negating the work of those who saw the potential right from the start IMHO. Who would mine it if they knew that, should a bug be discovered in future and enough people complained about it not being fair, their mining time and wallets would be wiped out on a whim?

Here, among the endless stream of worthless ICOs and copy/paste crap that makes up 99.9% of the Ann forum, is a project that at launch had a working product, a good whitepaper (albeit with some glaring typos), a decent website, wallets and pools ready to go, no ICO, no pre-mine, and a clear vision to be something other than a "me too" coin. You really want to risk all of that because a few people got lucky for a few hours?

You make a valid point.
Then Dev should continue mining with Rewards set to 10000 till another 10k or 20k blocks instead of suddenly reducing it to 500.
That would give a chance to everyone to get 10k rewards.

I agree with Speedie, starting the chain over is much worse PR than just fixing a bug and moving on. An error like this can't just wait until thousands more blocks are mined in the name of "fairness", it will mess up the entire emission plan. I think a lot of people are complaining because they missed out on the higher rewards and now want everything to start over. I consider it an "early adopters bonus", sorry that not everything is 100% fair.

3444 - Low Hash Rate
5666 - Mid Hash Rate
7888 - High Hash Rate
8999 - NiceHash Type Hash Rate

Variable and Fixed Difficulty: Enabled

Tried your pool. Difficulty rises just like on the official pool. Could you advise me how to make it fixed?

We have fixed difficulty enabled on our pool.  To set your difficulty to a fixed number add a ".#" to the end of your address in your config for your miner.   example:  "pool_address"  "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.200000" to set a 200,000 fixed difficulty.  Do not set this number too low though and use at your own risk Smiley

-Xav

Thanks a ton! It helped.

You are very welcome Smiley

-Xav

Hi, could you consider lowering your payment threshold? I've been mining all day at your pool and am stuck at 991 coins and your pool hasn't found a block in over 3 hours.

and now this guy is having ~38% of pool shares....

It is not possible for it to be GPU, GPU is slower than CPU. Most likely it is someone renting hashpower from a server farm like Amazon AWS.

I am trying to Solo with XMR-Stack but the daemon seems to fail my verification, it keeps giving me "failed to match first line method login" messages. I know the login info is correct because if it wasn't my CLI wouldn't be able to communicate with the daemon... Anyone have any idea what's going on here...?

You can't solo with xmr-stak, it only has stratum (pool) support.

I downloaded. Followed the instructions (windows). Had issues with stdint.h files. Fixed that problem. Compiled. Run. Result = Nothing, no error message, no gui, no processes running. Any more help available?

No, because this "fair launch" and if you dont know how compile wallet then you can "fair get out"
People, dont waste your power, time and hashs.

Let the dev himself mines his coin and sells his friends

Yeah, I'm out because I can't get the wallet to compile. Never had problems compiling wallets before, I guess the dev messed with the source code too much. At least make sure your code compiles before release.

Thank's for your patiente, Cryptonomicon25.

I already explained why we launched without GUI-wallets. We are not 'premining' and we are not holding bags too. I explained that too.

If you have any problem to compile on Windows - which is the most hardest SO to compile - download Ubuntu 14.04 and follow the instructions inside Github. Everybody is doing it!

I'm almost there with all wallets for all SO. But it takes so long to compile, didn't you know that? Stop FUDing the project.

For everybody who's asking 'Wheres the next steps?'

> Compile Wallets for every SO
> Launch Website, Whitepaper and Roadmap
> Launch Paper Wallet

Guys, I know you all ansious with our launch. But c'mon! We release the project less than 24 hours.

... and for now its all! Let me back to my work, because I've a lot of things to do!

You didn't mention the need to use Ubuntu 14.04, I'm on Ubuntu 16.04. That's why it won't compile. Thanks for this information, I am not trying to FUD just was frustrated.
