282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky? on: June 25, 2018, 06:04:08 PM
Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks

Crypto is full of risks, and too risky to put your money in one coin, and you'd better divide your money in some coins, because it can avoid losses if the coins you hold fall.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I late to the party? on: June 25, 2018, 05:55:26 PM
I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.

The party just paused and there will be a more lively party, and you will be able to enter in the larger of the first. Bitcoin can still grow bigger, and when it arrives, a big party will start soon.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: June 13, 2018, 10:00:38 PM
All dreams have been shattered while the marketcap keeps falling every time I refresh coinmarketcap. I kept Hodling expecting it to be a small correction like the ones in 2017. Portfolio dropped more than 70% already  Cry and still dont see the bottom. Now I am wondering if it will recover to previous highs especially considering the China ban and regulations.  Cry Any thoughts?

The market will recover, but it takes quite a long time, and currently holding will be the right choice to save from loss. Crypto is decentralized, although it is currently falling, but the future still has the potential to increase in value.
285  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC WILL Go 5K . on: June 13, 2018, 09:51:06 PM
Sell now or cry next week.
Right now price is under 6700$.
If you LOVE losing money, Keep your btc, whales are  laughing at you.

Even though bitcoin falls in the price of 5k, I will not sell it, because I think this is not the end of bitcoin. If you want to sell the bitcoin you have, it's up to you, but when bitcoin can rise to a better price, then do not express your regret for selling at a low price.
286  Economy / Economics / Re: The HODL strategy is not actual on: June 13, 2018, 09:42:32 PM
This morning I saw an article where a guy made a simple calculation through Google trends about HODL strategy, and it showed that call to HODL used less and less from February of 2018. Popularity of word Bitcoin and crypto currency is also falling down.
Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore?
No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$ Grin

If for investment, then holding strategy is a good choice, you just have to wait with your patience. Currently crypto is falling, but crypto will rise at the end of the year, and your patience will determine that you deserve to benefit from crypto or not.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People move out from cryptocurrency! on: June 13, 2018, 09:22:11 PM
I have heard from many people that there are many people to leave the cryptocurrency.

Is that right?
If  yes then what are the reason behind on it?
If no then why people spreading that kind of news regarding cryptocurrency?

People who leave crypto are panicked people, feel crypto is over and they sell at low prices. I advise you to stay patient, crypto is not dead and still can give profit. Crypto will be the biggest loss if you can not be patient.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of Ethereum on: June 13, 2018, 04:40:20 PM
What do you think, what is the reason for the sharp drop in Ethereum?

I think so, ethereum falls because many are selling ethereum, thus making the market fall. Do not panic for situations like this, ethereum will be able to rise again, be patient and relax the next few months ethereum will surely increase.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold or sell and buy back lower on: June 12, 2018, 11:03:23 PM
Hi so do people think it's worth learning chart tracking, technical analysis in order to sell and buy back Lower to increase my position. With all of these recent drops I feel I'm wasting opportunities because I've been told it's always better to hold. I value this strategy but would it not also be beneficial to maybe think about looking at some charts?

To save you from losses is to hold when the price goes down, and to gain profit, you can buy when the price falls because you can buy it cheaply.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This market is unhealthy! on: June 12, 2018, 10:47:57 PM
You can say what you like but markets go down when there is no confidence!
If it crashes big time the media will make cryptos look worse than they already have!
Such is life!

Yes, and that's the risk of having crypto with uncertain market conditions. For that we must be more patient to get this increasingly difficult crypto advantage.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto can built my future? on: June 12, 2018, 10:25:07 PM
I want involve this sector fulltime. But is their any ensurity of better future?

There's no guarantee your future will be better, it all depends on how you use crypto. Crypto is risky, and you must have patience and trust, because it is very important for you to earn income in crypto.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Now and Forever on: May 15, 2018, 01:31:30 PM
I've been listening to lot's of talk people are indulging in these days about future of bitcoin and most of them assume there's no scope and hope for bitcoin.

Maybe, Umm Maybe they are right but strongly they are wrong based on the fact the world is moving.
Gaint's company and people who are running an organization would never support in the future of bitcoin because they feel powerless when they won't control the money, but because of the power and technology is being used behind this coin they might surrender.

Ok, I've been listening to some people saying "We won't be relying on money generated by electrcity" my point is what's the problem in this "Are we going back to the era where there will be no electricity? No Never".

As a normal person like you, I believe there' no bad in these coins although they are making our lives easy and saving us from crazy taxes. I'm not a millionaire I think for my every single $ like most people. There is the downside of these coins that I might not aware of but overall it's a good experience for me. Although during my trades I always lost my money never get profit. (I'm bad at my luck or not know how to play)

As a resident of Las Vegas, I can see a dramatic change in this cryptocurrency no matter if it's going down but surely will raise based on the growth and usage.

If you wear some cool unique dress and other peoples starting to wear the same dress and after sometimes that same dress starts selling on the shops at your city and in the world that means your dress was really awesome.

Same with this bitcoins It's been used all over the city. Let me give you some real facts.

Las Vegas is the city of tourist and we all know people all around of world came here and these people have good money.

Casinos and gambling are the heart of Vegas the moment you step into the airport you will see poker machines and now casino's are accepting bitcoin...

Gentlemen's Club in Vegas have started to accept bitcoin. However, not all of them but the point is they realized and started to accept this powerful thing.

If you walk to the restaurant and have NO Dollar that's fine you can use your bitcoin to pay for food as Restuarants accepting Bitcoin...

I know there are many other big places you will see bitcoin being used I just mentioned places which are most visited places in Vegas.

PS: No matter how much the value of coin goes down we still can't predict the future and hope this currency should grow...

Your expert thoughts are always welcome  Cool

Bitcoin plays an important role in the digital world, bitcoin is easy to use for digital transactions and as time passes more and more wants bitcoin. Bitcoin is great to have for now and forever.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto currencies make local currencies disappear? on: May 15, 2018, 01:10:44 PM
Competition between local currencies Vs crypto currencies are in peak now. Crypto currencies have occupied currency market causing local currencies enforce (banks) banning of crypto currencies. We can see number of investors have turned towards to bitcoin and other crypto currencies with large scale. Will there be a chance / time bitcoin and other crypto currencies rule over currency market and local currencies get disappear slowly in a decade or two?

I think local money will still be used for local transactions in a country, since the local currency is a recognized currency in a country.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you keep yourself from spending on unimportant things? on: May 15, 2018, 12:58:51 PM
I dont know if it is just me or others also experience it. I always set goals financially, set limits in spending and trying hard to save but most of the time no matter how i tell myself to refrain from spending in unnecessary things whenever i see something i really like even if i dont need it i cant resist buying it that cause me to regret later. Are you familiar with this situation?

I want a good life in the future, and therefore I differentiate between wants and needs. I buy what I need, and I try to resist the less important.
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future price of bitcoin? on: May 15, 2018, 12:44:59 PM
At first, I thought bitcoin was a useless and deceitful thing. Later, I thought it was a tool for speculation. Later, I thought it was a valuable invention.

Something of value must have a price. Now, the price of each BTC is about $9,000, which is much higher than the price it has shown for the first time: 10,000 bitcoins for a $15 pizza coupon. If I were the owner of the deal, I wouldn't have dared to eat pizza for the rest of my life.
What do you think is the future price of bitcoin?

I believe bitcoin will be higher in price, because bitcoin is still a trusted coin in crypto. Bitcoin demand will continue to increase because of the stout people who want bitcoin, and with that bitcoin prices will also increase high.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2018, 12:28:23 PM
How many idiots who decided to invest in bitcoin!!!!!!!

It is necessary not to watch as he grows from 15000 to 17000. This is a visual illusion.
And as it grows from 1.5 to 1.7.....

In recent days printed 180 million tether and still no big growth....
Lending on the stock exchange came to a billion dollars.
The credit rate on the day was a record and more than the 0.103%.

This means that the market has reached its peak. The price of cryptocurrency maximum.
This is the moment when you have to sell everything.

So began a process of growth needs the infusion of more money.... They're gone.

I think the joy of endless growth to an end this weekend.

Nothing in this world is eternal and permanent.....
And rising prices of bitcoin are not eternal.... all ends already.....

If you want to profit from bitcoin investment, choose when the price is down, because investing in when the high price is very risky. There is no stability in crypto, but you yourself should seek certainty by investing in a low price, because it allows you to make a profit.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is a bitcoin REALLY worth? on: May 15, 2018, 12:05:13 PM
I see the whole thing that has been going on all year with the price of bitcoin, and how it was from way back when it started.

And I have to wonder, when will it end?  Will it keep going up and up, will it level off, or will it just one day suddenly crash and burn like HilLIARy Clinton on election day 11/8/16?

What sets the price?  How do we determine the price?  As near as I can tell, we get our belief of price from the exchanges.  The exchanges say a btc was worth 3000 last month, 5000 last week, 7000 today, etc, and we all just blindly go along with it and base our transactions off of that.  That's how many US Dollars you can get for a bitcoin, and really, what else matters?  Btc could be a million dollars or ONE DOLLAR tomorrow, and everyone would just be going "well, that's the exchange price".  And if that's the amount of money you can convert your bitcoins to dollars for, then that is it.  The exchange won't give you more.  A private buyer you meet in person won't give you more.

With institutional money, bitcoin futures, and hedge funds starting to invest in bitcoin, I think that'll bring more stability and a future to high bitcoin prices.  But we are still dealing with an intangible asset that exists only in computers, so there's no real reason to support these high prices other than "Well, that's what you can buy them for on the exchanges".  Or "That's what the futures market / hedge fund prices them at".  It is BELIEF of the price, and nothing else.  At least with a bar of gold, you can do something with it, no matter what its price is.

Will btc be around for a long time at big money, or will they be the Beanie Babies of 2018?

Will Antminer S9's still be sold on ebay for over $3000 by greedy bastards who were able to place large orders with Bitmain and are now simply reselling them for sheer profit?  Or will used S9's be going for $300 a year from now?

It seems that most of you don't remember me, or were not here in 2013 / 2014.  I repeatedly warned people over and over not to buy ASICs based on the btc price at the time.  And I was 100% correct in my assertions.  And even in 2015 - 2016, I was still correct that ASICs were a bad investment.  It was only with the huge rise in bitcoin prices this year that significant profits could finally be made, but where and when will it end?  Banks are beginning to understand the concept of the blockchain and how it can make their transactions more secure, but that means nothing for the price of bitcoin or any other coin.  Banks don't need any coin to be successful to implement the blockchain idea in their own transaction histories.

People say that bitcoin can replace cash.  Well, I wouldn't go that far.  I see bitcoin as a way to get more money, more US Dollars.  True, a piece of paper may not have much other than the US government backing it, but that's better than a group of coin exchanges, mostly based in other countries saying what my coins are worth.  Gemini is the only licensed, regulated, US based exchange that I would trust.

So what's in store for bitcoin prices in 2018?  And the question that should be placed above all others is, "How much money can I (and I mean ME, not you) get out of bitcoin?".

Yes bitcoin is valuable because many people think bitcoin has value, use it as a means of transaction, and also as an investment because bitcoin values can continue to rise higher.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that other coins move faster? on: May 15, 2018, 05:24:19 AM
Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

I think it depends on the adoption of the coin, if many people think the coin is good and many are adopting it then the price of the coin can rise higher.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of the Bitcoin on: May 15, 2018, 05:08:19 AM
In the G20,approval of the Bitcoin is 15 countries, more than the half,
in this view,we still have the faith in Bitcoin,
at the moment, maybe someone said the death of Bitcoin is in the China, because the China is the only one who makes Bitcoin illegal,
So,the death of the bitcoin will come ture ?
what is your predict about the future of the bitcoin?

I feel that as a negative news that will be lost in the wind. Bitcoin will not die, bitcoin will stay alive and will be used as a global currency.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach 20,000 again on: May 14, 2018, 03:40:23 PM
Simply because the WHALES take the profits whenever there's a 5 to 10 percent growth.  The bottom line is Swing trading and Day trading is real and the HODL method is just what it is...

I'm more confident the bitcoin will increase by 20k. Currently the market is in chaos and bitcoin is difficult to increase the price, but I guess it's not over and bitcoin will go up high and reach 20k, and it's just a matter of time.
