XTZ Primed For a Breakout After Finding Support Around $2.45. Tezos Price Analysis

Tezos appeared to have found a bottom around $2.45 on Monday following a two-week drop from around $3.14 earlier this month. This correction led to a breakdown from a 3-month rising line forming on the daily chart.

$5 next target?

It would be interesting to know which projects are being implemented on the Tezos blockchain. Is Tezos universal in application, or are there any preferences among those who want to use this platform? What kind of business plan to use Tezos?

Amazing news as usual Smiley

One thing in particular caught my attention - a paper by Nomadic Labs about possibility of including a BFT style consensus on Tezos that delivers immediate transaction finality - https://twitter.com/LabosNomades/status/1224291859222159363

Tezos is the best.  Grin
Cool Cool Cool

I think we need to focus on getting partnerships, from the memo Semux left behind talking about the roadmap. I do not see anything about the future partnership, if we keep improving the system but we do not have any goal to achieve for adoption. I do not think the demand will increase, we need to figure out what is our target.
Any idea what is our target for real use case?

How they can get adoption if this is a copy of Ethereum? At the beginning this had to be written on Java as I remember, but now its fully copied of Ethereum  Huh

Semux is not a copy of ethereum.

Semux is a novel blockchain written from scratch in Java and it utilizes BTF consensus, with 1 confirmation transaction finality and with high transaction throughput. Blocks are produced by 100 validator nodes, some are public operating as a pool and distributing rewards to addresses that voted for them with their SEM.

On top of this Semux has smart contracts - Semux Virtual Machine compatible with Ethereum Solidty language.

Hello Tezos community!

I have put together an article on recent and upcoming developments for the Tezos ecosystem.

It covers the following topics:

* The Mainnet Faucet
* ERX is Licensed in Thailand
* TezosJ_PlainJava V1.1
* The Dexter Launch is Imminent
* Albert Proposal
* Mainnet Branch Update
* The Baking Bad API v2
* Current Network Health

The full article can be found here

Feedback is welcome, and feel free to share the article - or this Reddit link - on social media!

This will be the first of - hopefully- multiple Tezos-oriented articles on the website this year.

Nice job jdebunt !

Sapling integration in Tezos - Tech Preview

We are happy to announce a first technology preview of our integration in Tezos of the core of the Sapling protocol developed by the ZCash project. By extending the Michelson smart contract language, this work allows for the exchange of digital assets in a privacy preserving way.

Atomex has executed an atomic swap between ETH and a FA1.2 - compatible token on Tezos. We still have a lot of work to do in order to fully integrate Tezos tokens in Atomex wallet, but we wanted to share this milestone with you.

Here is a chronology of events:

Fellow Binancians,

Binance will add support for Tezos (XTZ) staking starting from 2019/12/04. XTZ rewards will be calculated daily based on live snapshots and distributed monthly, with the first distribution to be completed before 2019/01/20. Distributions will be completed before the 20th day of each following month. Binance will distribute XTZ staking rewards as detailed below:

Monthly XTZ Staking Airdrop Program

Starting from 2019/12/04, Binance will begin taking hourly snapshots of user XTZ balances at 00:00 AM UTC.
XTZ Staking distribution will be calculated as follows:
XTZ generated by each user = Total XTZ staking rewards received by Binance * User XTZ holdings ratio.
User XTZ holdings ratio = User XTZ holdings / Total XTZ staked by Binance.
Users must hold at least 1 XTZ in order to qualify for staking rewards.
The initial distribution of XTZ staking rewards will be calculated up until 2019/12/19, with the total amount distributed equal to the staking rewards accrued on holdings during the period.
Since XTZ rewards mature after 7 cycles (roughly 3 weeks) of staking, rewards will be distributed prior to the 20th day of the following month in which the rewards began to accrue.
For example, users who deposit XTZ between 2019/12/04 and 2019/12/19 will receive their first distribution by 2020/01/20. Users that deposit XTZ between 2019/12/20 and 2020/01/19 will receive their distribution of rewards by 2020/02/20.

This is so tempting.  I use to stick to "not your private keys not your coins" rule but this time I'm really undecided about what to do : what's your opinion tezziers?

Run your own baker.

https://medium.com/@tezbaker.io/tezos-mainnet-setting-up-home-baking-4bf258a9fd30

Tezos is so amazing even with 1 roll (8000 tez) your node will get to endorse and bake (mint) blocks.

Most inclusive protocol I've seen that allows even small players to participate in the network security and get rewards.

The first smart contract ever developed by a public authority has been deployed on #Tezos.

"The French Armies and Gendarmerie’s Information & Public Relations Center (SIRPA) announced that since September 2019, the Gendarmerie’s cybercrime division (C3N) has been validating judicial expenses incurred during investigations and recording them on the Tezos blockchain.
...
The new program allows #C3N to acquire #cryptocurrency from #Europol allocated funds in order to cover operational costs."  ( source Linkedin)

Does anyone know the address of the contract?

Very impressive update the team is doing hard work to make this platform really useful in real life. The community is also growing because of some useful features and in future it will become next big thing for sure.

Great update and very good to see Tezos moving in all these areas.

Repost from Discord FAQ channel:

What is Semux?
Semux is a performant smart contract platform powered by the BFT consensus algorithm. It designed to be autonomous, open source, and driven by the community.
Its native cryptocurrency called SEM.
SEM has 3 main use cases: it is a fuel for running decentralised apps, it used in governance and BFT consensus algorithm (voting for delegates), it is a store of value and mean of payment.

Where do I get SEM?
1) The simplest way is to buy it in exchange: Stex.com, Citex.co.kr, Tokok.com, p2pb2b.io
STEX has the best liquidity on SEM/BTC pair: https://app.stex.com/en/trade/pair/BTC/SEM
2) You can earn it for free by contributing to the project. Check our #bounties channel or just help us building the software, close issues, report bugs. We do value community contributions.
3) Try to be helpful in Discord. We have a tip-bot

What wallet can I use?
You can always use latest version of semux-core wallet from the official repo: https://github.com/semuxproject/semux-core/releases/latest
It's available for Windows, Linux and macOS. Run semux-gui.bat if you're on Windows, or ./semux-gui.sh if you're on Linux or macOS.

Is there a list of public pools who share block reward with voters?
Yes, it's maintained by @nozzlez, you can find it here:
http://pool.7u.org/

Is there a light web wallet?
Yes, it's open source and developed by @witoldsz
Mainnet: https://semux.online/
Testnet: https://testnet.semux.online/

Is there mobile wallet for Android?
Yes, it's developed by @Phash
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.phash.manuel.asw

Are there public API providers?
https://api.semux.online/ (mainnet, @witoldsz)
https://api.testnet.semux.online/ (testnet, @witoldsz)
https://www.sempy.online/api/ui/#/semux (mainnet, @mdodong)
How can I get some TESTNET coins to play around with smart contracts?
We have a testnet faucet here: https://www.semux.org/testnetfaucet
Testnet block explorer: https://testnet.semux.info/
Don't forget to run your wallet with --network=testnet flag.

I have an issue/question, whom do I contact?
#general is a good place to start, Semux community always ready to help you.
Core devs are: @semux @orogvany @honeycrypto @cryptokat
