How do I claim my tokens?

I purchased the tokens with BTC and have tokens on crypterium site, but there is no option to transfer it to MEW wallet.

Any help please.

You wait, there will be an option to transfer on your wallet

Thanks mate,

I wish they gave us an ETA. I am going on holidays and wanted to have it on my wallet to be safe.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS speculation, is it worth investing? on: December 06, 2017, 09:18:46 AM
I have heard the rumor that EOS will be listed on Bithumb. I'm guessing that's the reason why the price has increased so dramatically in the past few days.

I think the price hike is more to do with their Test platform launch than rumours about exchange listing.

Hey guys, what do you think of EOS token and where it would be?

Seems like a great technology but the tokens themselves don’t mean much.

Check this https://steemit.com/eos/@najarramsada/eos-token-what-exactly-is-it-and-should-you-invest-in-this-token

This inquiry will be hard to answer at this chance. The present ICO  Might make an element Previously, purchasing tokens at An secondary price, those regulation around tokens will be feeble best case scenario. Eos may be still a baby and at present necessities with settle on it’s initial steps preceding it could make acknowledged develop. On the other hand, eos is the Initially decentralized working framework. Contributing in this ICO will be a risk, yet the remunerates Might be just as high. Eos will be a great investment as stated by one’s own personal venture portfolio.

I agree with you in regards to ICO. Their ICO model is bit different and you can't really tell how many coins you get for your ethereum.

Every will return to normal soon, this is just a market correction. This is a never ending bubble that will last at least 20 years, unless quantum computers break bitcoin or something like that, which i doubt that will happen any time soon.

I think it will happen sooner than we think. Each technological evolution step in human history is achieved faster then the last one.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: November 30, 2017, 12:22:55 AM
I told people that POWR will not raise again in the next few days, but will rather collapse down to 0.00005000 BTC, yet I was called a troll. And now? Oh wait... now it's down to exactly this price.

How did I know? Because it's the exact same F'n pattern we see for 4 years with over 1000 cryptocurrencies.

  • New currency comes out
  • Stays flat for weeks or months until the first increase, which is usually caused by a news announcement.
  • Price then goes up by 100% - 1000% within 72 hours, across multiple major spikes.
  • If after a major spike no other spike has happened within 72 hours, it will steadily decline down to 70% - 80% from its initial price before the first spike. It will then take 3,6,9 or even 12 months until another spike happens that outperforms the previous all time high.

This exact same pattern happens with every single coin.

People here in the forum are upset that it kept going down and they kept telling themselves excuses like, Power Ledger will change the world, Power Ledger is unstoppable, Power Ledger is the future of energy, and for those reasons it will go up again in just a few days.
Yes of course Power Ledger is great, if it works that is! Except they don't have a product yet.

If you're a day trader or new to trading, then stop telling yourself POWR will go up in the next few days, no matter how amazing the idea of power ledger is, it will not go up that quickly. No currency in the history of cryptocurrency has had major spikes of 100% + on weekly basis. It takes months and months.

If you invested at a higher price and now you are blocked from re-investing, then sell it. You might make a loss of 50% now, but if you invest wisely, you can make it back in a few days or weeks trading other currencies.
If you invested at a higher price and you are okay waiting 6 months or longer, then keep it. The chances are good that POWR will recover one day.

If you want to invest into POWR, then now is the time to buy. The only risk assessment you should take into consideration before investing into POWR, is that the company Power Ledger is a start up company, that is planning on changing the world with buying and selling electricity across the globe. The only problem? They don't have an actual product yet to accomplish this. It's just a vision. They are only now starting to develop their prototypes. If all goes well, they will have the first applications up and running in 12 - 24 months. All this is written on their website.

Their vision is as great as Elon Musk with Tesla, but even with Tesla they had major setbacks and years of delays. Nothing ever works according to plan. It took Teslas stick 2 years to get the first major spike in their stock value. One day, if Power Ledger succeeds, POWR might be worth $10, $100 or $1000 per unit. If you don't mind the risk and are up for long term investments, then go buy now while it's at $0.50.

Another great long term investment is Ripple XRP.
By the way, same BS happened with XRP in May when it went up to $0.40 from $0.006. Same pattern, 2 massive spikes, then nothing for 72 hours and it went back down. People who invested at $0.40 kept saying that it will go above $0.40 within just a few days and it will go to $1.00 by June. Now it's almost December and it's at $0.26.

The amount of people on this forum who are coming up with pure fiction and unrealistic goals, and are calling me a troll at the same time, is unreal.

Of course there is a tiny chance that POWR will go up to $1 again within a few days, but that chance is so small and is not based on any real data to support it, it's just hopes and dreams. Looking at all the data, it's much more likely that nothing will happen for another few months with POWR. So why give people unrealistic expectations on their investments? Is it not better to stay realistic so people who invested can make a more accurate decision?

I am giving people here real information, which is neither here to push down the price nor to raise it, it's just cold hard neutral information, based on facts and historical data. It seems however that any information that I post which does not support the idea that POWR will go up another 1000% within the next 7 days, is considered trolling.

Agree there big fella. My other argument is with all these new coins and their new ideas, none of them have any functional products yet.

Rule 1 of any successful blockchain implementation is that you need network adoption and lots of miners to do the transactions. You think miners mining new coins today will continue to mine for the next 6 months when their profitability is in minus mining that same coin, while the coin devs are developing their product. Short answer is no, most miners will move to new coins for easy blocks as it does give them higher profitability. By the time the actual product gets released there will be very little mining support behind it.

Only way you make your money in altcoins is doing day trading, and if you are into that, there are lot of coins that will make you reach but considering them for long term hold will only make you loss.

I am an Aussie and seeing my home grown startup coin I had invested in this coin as soon as I heard. But after lot of trials and errors in other coins and FUD and FOMO, I now understand the price of Power will never go beyond $1 even in long run. Why? its a utility coin, subtoken sparkz is tied to local currency. Take a look at Tether, if the coin is tied to a currency than why would anyone would pay higher than its value?

Wow! what kind of a scam coin this is?

Just got online on cryptopia and saw this 173627.81 % rise. WTF!!!..
Pure pump and dump coin.

If you can make money on this pump do it and get out.

Not a scam. This is what I can tell. Cryptopia just added UNIT, having only a small amount of actual UNIT on the exchange when they had a technical issue with syncing wallets.  With so little actual UNIT on the exchange, API bots started to trade back and forth, causing the  price to rise.  People tried to transfer UNIT to take advantage of the price, but Cryptopia had issues with wallets, so the bots kept trading back and forth, creating a self fulfilling prophecy.

It looks like what we are seeing is the effect of bot trading.  Very hilarious if you ask me.  Grin

what the hell is bot trading, is that something exchanges do?

This one had a crazy ride. Don't own any of this coin but, damn that was something to see.

How long do you intend to hold these coins for? And may I ask, how much are you investing per coin? There are lot of coins that you have your toes in Smiley

How long depends on the coin performance.  The list changes constantly.

These are just the "cheap" coins Wink ...I have around $20,000 on these.

wow! good investment. I wish you the best to the moon.

No coin at this time go 10X in just one move. Those things takes time and also if the coin supply is in billions then forget it man, is not of benefit to you at all (can reach 1$) and also what new thing is the coin bringing to the system if there is nothing then dont invest in it. You have to research well before investing.NO COIN MULTIPLY 10x IN ONE MOVE WATCH IT

Completely agree with you Sir.

The sub $1 altcoins in my portfolio are;
RPX
QSP
CND
REQ
SUB
EMC2
VEN
LINK
MER
ENG
SYS
XSPEC
ZRX
VOX
SIGT

There are lots of promising cheap alts but can only buy so much.  There are probably another 10 I want to invest in if I have the funds.

Good luck!

I am sorry BTX, but I am breaking up with you. I wish you the best and I know you will find someone much better than me. You deserve the best.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $1 on: November 27, 2017, 06:01:33 AM
You best bet is to invest on BTC, forget the rest of the altcoins under $1.
For overall growth BTC is the king, even if you are investing only $1000 still go for BTC.

If you intend to do lot of buy and sell and do enjoy the trading part of it only than go with altcoins and do your research. All the the altcoins may or may not go up and you will need to do lot of your own research to pick a coin and that you may have to wait for few months to gain any real profit.

Most of these new coins have great ideas and great road maps, and by the time they deliver that (in 6 months to 1 year), a new coin comes out with the better solution and better idea, meaning that original coin will never go any higher and the general public would have moved to this new coin.

Any altcoin to be successful whatever their use case may be, first of all it needs network adoption (Miners, masternodes, PoW, PoS, etc), second it needs mass adoption of users.
Every time a new coin is introduced, lot of miners get on the network to mine the initial easy blocks and when it gets harder and the price of the coin doesn't move, these miners lose profitability and move their hashing power to another new coin. Lot of these new coins will simply never be able to achieve proper network adoption.

Simply put these crypto space is moving lot faster these days, and the new coins with road map of over a year will never be able to retain the network capacity. Lot of investors may still hold the coins but that's not true for miners.

Best to stick with already established coins BTC and ETH.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: November 27, 2017, 02:36:32 AM
Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

I did the same, I put some amount every week, and I been doing it for two months now, I was surprised by the amount I have invested, doing nothing, yet its growing. Only me and my wife knows about it and I am sure it cannot be stolen for it has to send an authentication code to my email and mobile number.

It can't be stolen, not yet. But in 20 years, wouldn't we have even more powerful computers to crack SHA256 keys easily?

I think, having a smart contract based on blockchain that delivers these private keys to your kids based on criteria defined (when they reach certain age, when certain event happens) would be best way to pass on the investment. Would be much better option than writing down on paper and possibly having it lost.

https://www.commbank.com.au/guidance/newsroom/CBA-and-QTC-create-first-government-bond-using-blockchain-201701.html

There are lot of banks and even some governments are investing in blockchain based asset management. Sooner or later we will have some bank or govt. giving us digital safety box, where you can store these private keys and have it pass onto your kids.

Nice project. I did participate in ICO.

Question: My CRPT tokens are still at the crypterium site. Is there way to transfer that in my ether wallet? Usually, there is a process in wallets to make them ready for receiving such tokens. I cannot find any information regarding this. The profile page only allows you to enter the wallet address but no such option to transfer.

Can someone point me to the instructions for setting up the myetherwallet to accept the tokens.  I had a tab open that showed address or something that had to be entered into the myetherwallet to accept them but cannot find it anymore.

Thanks!

Maybe this is can help you how to setting up MEW to accept CRPT tokens: https://medium.com/@crypterium_io/crpt-tokens-distribution-beta-stage-is-going-on-now-101cafbc572c

So, all I have to do is follow the instruction in the link above and set my wallet up?
From that link, it seems the token distribution is coming soon, does that mean in few days time we would have to manually withdraw the tokens to our wallet, or does crypterium team pushes out these token to address specified in profile page?

Apologies for the noob question, my first ICO participation.  Embarrassed

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: November 24, 2017, 05:51:29 AM

Question: given that this is a supercomputer, wouldn't one use it to create a super miner to mine say bitcoins? Load up on GNTs now while its in cents and once live use those GNTs to buy the power and mine bitcoins.

What I don't get is, how are they making all these tiny computers (participants) and combine it to be a super computer. Its like saying 1 female takes 9 months to bring a child in the world, now by adding more females, the said child could be born in less time.  Huh

Not sure how Golem want to tie all that compute power together, but combining multiple computers together to create one supercomputer is not new. Basically all the Top500 computers are just a collection of computers working together.
Trinity a supercomputer in the top 10 of supercomputers has 979968 Cores and uses Intel Xeon Phi 7250 cpu's. 64 cores per processor,  that means they need 14411 cpu socket. So basically its just a datacenter full of servers working as one.

We still cant make babies in 1 month with 9 women, but we sure as hell can create a supercomputer from multible compute nodes.
I know at least one University had a supercomputer made from all sorts of types of old computers, that were mostly donated, what was in the Top500 back in the days.

I also think that Golem can be a lifesaver for University's. The ability to have a supercomputer ready and waiting, without having to worry about the initial cost and upkeep is gold.

Thank you for the explanation.  Smiley
