121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legitimate or illegal? on: November 16, 2017, 10:12:04 PM
Bitcoin itself is legal but it can be used in illegal ways the same as fiat money, the different thing about bitcoin that it's much harder to trace making it easier to use in crimes while providing anonymity for criminals, thus their statement is right...
Anyway being "legal" or not depends on the laws of the country you live in. If it's banned in your country then we don't have a say in it..
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: November 16, 2017, 03:05:52 PM
Why can't gold and bitcoin coexist?
Yes they are both assets that you can invest in but each one of them has its own attributes and use.
Actually imo bitcoin dying has a much higher probability than it replacing gold..

You need to know, bitcoin has a limited supply. In contrast to the gold that can be produced by a person without limit. And that's what will make gold will be worthless.

And tell me how do you produce gold???
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being taxed? on: November 15, 2017, 09:05:39 PM
If bitcoin gets taxed it will only be bad for us bitcoin users..
Taxing bitcoin would make mining less profitable which would lead to higher transaction fees in order to compensate for the increased mining cost, and guess who's going to pay for those fees?
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on: November 15, 2017, 06:14:36 PM
Well.. getting above 7k today I don't think it'll fall down actually I think it's going up. Maybe if there is another pump for BTH it will be down to 6k again but I don't think so..
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: November 13, 2017, 02:48:50 PM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?

It's true it's mainly an asset.. It can be used as a currency but only in a very limited way. Most things in our daily life can't be bought with bitcoin, for example: you can't go to the grocery and pay with bitcoin, so we have to exchange it for fiat money to be able to use it.
Also the frequent changes in its price make it a good investment if you know what you're doing.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wages being paid in crypto on: November 13, 2017, 01:24:46 PM
Even if governments agree, I don't think it's possible yet. In order to pay in crypto we should first have a stable cryptocurrency.. there is no currency in the world changing in price as much as any crypto now.
Crypto hasn't matured enough to be used as fiat money but hopefully it will someday.
127  Other / Meta / Re: [Suspicious link removed] ? on: November 12, 2017, 01:28:54 PM
It is a phishing site probably. The only official site is https://bitcointalk.org

None of these sites are official, and you should never enter your password there. If you ever accidentally enter your password somewhere other than bitcointalk.org, you should change it here immediately. Maybe some of these sites are intended for bypassing various blacklists such as China's great firewall, but more likely they steal login information or do other nefarious things.
128  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum transactions unconfirmed on: November 11, 2017, 05:56:02 PM
It's happening to everyone right now.. just be patient..
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So is bitcoin really limited supply or not? on: November 11, 2017, 04:00:34 PM
Bitcoin does have a limited supply but splitting the chain won't be a solution for that. currencies coming out of a fork doesn't have any relation to bitcoin and have their own prices which rely on the demand for those coins and as BTH grew it may come down, everything is possible.
But of course the changes in price of one cryptocurrency affects all others not only BTC.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: November 11, 2017, 01:15:04 PM

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People talking about the REAL BITCOIN on: November 11, 2017, 09:44:46 AM

132  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: November 08, 2017, 04:55:07 PM
Death penalty, life sentence and castration all seem good choices  Grin
Joking aside, I guess life sentence would be the best punishment because someone can be set free if proven innocent but no coming back from a death sentence or castration.
133  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amd ryzen or intel ? on: November 08, 2017, 07:58:17 AM
With intel's 8th generation out it's definitely better than amd ryzen.
You can search for benchmarks for the cpu you wanna buy and compare it to same price ryzen cpu but if you prefer amd I suggest waiting until they release their next gen
134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom of will on: November 07, 2017, 03:17:34 PM
Would you allow someone to hurt you in the name of freedom of will?
Absolute freedom does not exist as everything in our world is relative.
