I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small. Does it matter?

I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?
Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?
Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!
Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!
Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?
My frustration is BIG.
Now, it might to be too late. All this money wasn't enough to buy bitcoin, but (it was) arguably, enough to buy a cheap altcoin. such as: Bytecoin ( BCN), Dogecoin ( DOGE), TRON ( TRX), Verge ( XVG), and Siacoin ( SC). |

Try to literally understand the depth of my words as to what I tried to say here. This is not a speculative topic at all, so all those speculators please stay away from this thread.
The issues we were undergoing with the holy spike in the value of Bitcoins as well as its demand that grew so hard that it became unavailable for the network to welcome the newcomers as well as their transactions - SCALABILITY OF BITCOINS.
Are we near to a new era or an end? We put our trust and support Bitcoins just because we are able to transact freely any time and from anywhere.
But I guess it's not the same anymore, even after the SegWit, things have just stabilized quite a bit but I really don't think that if it goes the same way, we will be able to cope up with the demand that will surge highly after the whole world's ends meet and decide to start using Bitcoins at an extremely wider pace. Let's talk about the fees - we were never ought to spend more than a buck before when it used to be 500 - 1k a coin (I really don't have any problems with the price rise as it's for the good of Bitcoins anyways), but after the spike, we are only seeing the fees rise and sometimes we even need to pay the whole amount of fee, sometimes even higher than the total transaction amount that's being sent. And the worst thing - even though after paying those high fees, we still don't get results as expected, we don't get our transactions taken in those blocks that just come and go and we just keep calm and wait harder and patiently that next one will take it, and repeat the same after the next one also ignores our transaction.
Don't you think this should not be the scene with Bitcoins? I am not in support of any so-called hard forks and will probably never be.
I just want Bitcoin to gain its image back as it used to have - Cheap and quick. Cheap - for transactions part and Quick - for confirmations.
I don't know what initiative is to be taken, but I really care for Bitcoins because it took care of everyone.
If during the big whale still playing in market, It refers to a situation of constantly rising bitcoin price. And finally, bitcoin is too difficult to trade. Thus, investor and speculator switch from bitcoin to altcoin (for a change). If this happens, maybe it time bitcoin to fall and eventually die. |

I can't believe ETh is below $300, Waves is below $3.60 and XRP is only around 0.20. Why even think about gambling with ICOs when there are so many quality Altcoins at bargain prices!

Menurut saya bisa saja, tapi Kalau di buat fisik kemungkinan akan sama sistem nya seperti uang fiat nantinya, tidak ada lagi yang namanya desentralisasi yang ada sentralisasi
Saya sangat setuju dengan pendapat anda, dan kemungkinan tak akan ada larangan yang diberlakukan oleh pemerintah kita. Bitcoin akan sama halnya dengan uang fiat, dan kemungkinan juga bitcoin akan disejajarkan dengan dollar, euro atau pounds. Jawaban saya adalah: 1. Harga bitcoin akan menjadi standar (tidak murah tapi tidak mahal), karena sistem standarisasi pemerintah pasti diberlakukan. 2. Bitcoin tida akan anjlok, namun bitcoin akan semakin langka dan mahal dipasaran, itu semua terjadi karena defisitnya pasokan. 3. Ya, ini memang benar, bitcoin akan memajukan negara, jika negara tersebut memberlakukan sistem perpajakan terhadap bitcoin baik segi transaksi maupun kepemilikan bitcoin. 4. Ya hal ini bisa terjadi, jika seluruh rakyatnya mengggunakan bitcoin dengan menghindari perpajakan, kehancuran sebuah negara akan terjadi terutama pada sistem perbankan mereka. Saya setuju dengan anda, Bitcoin bisa menghancurkan sebuah negara terutama pada sektor keuangan, jika seluruh rakyat mereka menghindari pajak, maka sistem diperbankan tersebut akan mengalami defisit keuangan, jika bank mengalami hal ini, sudah dapat dipastikan bisa menghancurkan negara tersebut. |

Jujur saja, saya merasa bangga dan senang mendengar/membacanya pidatonya Ibu. Sri Mulyani. Ada beberapa kalimat yang menarik disini, antara lain: 1. Sri Mulyani "khawatir jika penggunaan Bitcoin akan merugikan masyarakat". Ini jelas salah satu perhatian beliau terhadap Rakyat Indonesia. 2. Bank Indonesia (BI) tidak berubah sikap terhadap larangan penggunaan mata uang digital sebagai alat pembayaran. "Pernyataan ini benar seperti yang sudah-sudah pada waktu sebelumnya." 3. BI bahkan mempersilahkan pihak-pihak yang tetap menggunakan mata uang digital, untuk menanggung sendiri resikonya. I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other alt coins are way over priced?
Gulden?... Good, but not great!. I believe, Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. Because, gulden stable currencies. Perhaps, this coin is very appropriate if used for long-term investments. |
