I'm not yet certain it was the founders, though I agree there is something suspicious going on.

I must imagine that insuring this kind of business would be prohibitively expensive if even possible (I truly do not know). So that makes Alitin's options: 1. Disappear 2. Repay immediately 3. Hope the perps are found and funds retrieved.  1. destroys their professional reputations in the cryptosphere and beyond.  2. If BTC price continues to rise, this is the smartest, cheapest option.  3. Funds retrieved is just so very highly unlikely and may leave them personally on the hook for the sum anyways.  They may be scamming us all or they may be taking the best option they have at the moment, though some more transparency would certainly help.

I'm still fairly certain that BTCINVESTOR is involved in all this somehow if not a Forsyth himself. His account post history, and statements made are eerily similar to private comms I've had with people at Alitin.

At the very least, Alitin did not do their due diligence in having coins produced.  On the edge of a coin you can read "2013 Medallic Art Company".  This company was purchased years earlier by Northwest Territorial Mint. By the time Alitin had made the request to have these coins pressed there was already a slew of fraud and felony allegations and later convictions against Northwest Territorial Mint, some of which involved security issues.  For a physical BTC that was to be "the new standard" wouldn't you at least vet the process/company used to mint your coins? This took all of 5 minutes and some googling.   I'm not certain it was a Forsyth directly, but they have certainly directly profited from this whole thing. Fairly disgusting.
1543  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] Kialara Original on: March 21, 2017, 03:02:22 PM
I have Kialara Original #68.  It may be 86.  Slipping my memory at the moment.  It is in mint condition and has only been removed from the original protective sleeve once or twice since I've owned it. Still unfunded

Not really sure of the value of such a low serial as I've seen much higher numbers fetch .45 to .5+

BTC is best, but I'll entertain trades for other physical coins casascius, lealana (BTC only), maybe titan and others. Nothing buyer-funded.

Guess this is just a gathering interest post for now and I'll be adding pictures tonight.

EDIT:  I've received a few private offers already exceeding my expectations.  I will not accept any offer until I have posted photos. I don't want to unintentionally mislead someone if they are somehow unsatisfied with the appearance of the coin.  This post will be changed to an auction tonight with a private BIN TBD.  Very interested in a trade for anything casascius.  Thanks for the interest.

To my knowledge, this is the first time that pictures of these coins have been released. I have been given permission to post these, so you guys looking now are the first to see them.

Look at this freshly minted 2BTC, 2oz silver coin with Adam Smith, father of modern economics:

Heads:

Tails (Simulated Bitcoin Address):

Feedback welcome!

Forgot to mention that they will publish all of the bitcoin addresses online and a status for each coin. Around 50 have been pre-sold. I am buying 5 myself.

They publish all of the public addresses on their website as they ship them. I got an early one because I am related to the artist and because I bought a larger amount.

I've been doing some digging.  This account rubs me the wrong way.  He posted information/photos about Alitin releases several times that was NEW information to the public.  What other coin producer doesn't do their own advertising? Strange, at the least.

ALL of his photos have been removed.  These photos (above and more in his post history) were available on 03/09/16. I'm sorry I didn't take screenshots of this.  I reviewed everything with "Alitin" in this forum tagged in it when the news of the breach hit me, you'll have to take my word for it, unless there's a better solution to proving this - if necessary.

And the last two quotes above drive their own questions...  Where did this information come from? What happened to this list? Did it ever exist?

I don't know what else to do. I don't like driving a witchhunt, but something is weird here.

1545  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Coin Breach on: March 08, 2017, 02:40:54 PM

Many collectors have theirs tucked away and probably do not access them on a regular basis....
Being that, I would gather that many collectors do not come to this forum and have no clue that their coins have been emptied.

I don't always check this board, but I happen to on just the right day when this thread started, but had to wait to access my coin to verify balance.  Before I could, the next day I received direct communication from Richard through the communication channel originally used during purchase in 2014.  They are privately contacting their customers.  I am currently awaiting refund. I will report back when it is received.
1546  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Coin Breach on: March 07, 2017, 02:12:34 PM
And only one person ever sees the private keys before they are destroyed from our records--and that person is me.  I am the CEO and I engrave the coins myself.  I also do the ciphers and much of the packaging.  Tamper proofing cases like this is a challenge.  It's slow and tedious work.  But thorough.  We built in 6-8 weeks just in case we got big orders.  We would rather our customers be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.

I see a lot of posts regarding who had access to the coins before they were slabbed, but we've already had a statement regarding this from Alitin.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin [TC Team] Now with 100%POS Multipool on: February 23, 2015, 03:22:15 PM
Is SUPER roadmap from the original developer available somewhere?

it looks like he removed it. so i dont think so. but why does it matter?
I thought some nice features that could be taken into consideration were mentioned there.

maybe the original dev can join forces with trsuted cryptoes?
or is he gone for good and he does not care about supercoin?

i believe he is gone for good. otherwise we wouldnt have needed to do a takeover.

but a lot of the things in that roadmap are outdated:

- supercoin atms for one. bitcoin atms are in decline atm. trying to do supercoin ones isnt a realistic thing.

-umm supercoin we wallet... web wallets can be good but as youve been noticing lately (if uve been reading the bitcoin news at all) have been getting hacked a lot. [ im including an exchanges wallets that are online as online wallets. if you disagree with this association then take the blockchain.info website as your hack example]

-the wallet has irc chat in it already... umm.. linked directly to exchanges... we just finished that...

so yeah. if anyone has specific things they can think of. let me know

I agree with what you have said.  The one thing currently missing that the old roadmap had was a marketing strategy.  The idea of proof of rich, discount clubs for heavy bag owners, A Supercoin association, and ultimately a decentralized market place.  This was meant to attract investors to keep money in SuperCoin because the ideas down the road would prompt larger adoption and payoff would come.  How are we going to get that now? Was it the best marketting strategy? No. Was it totally flushed out? definitely not.  But what is our marketting strategy now?  How can we improve it? WHO are we trying to attract...
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: January 17, 2015, 12:40:03 AM
isn't this multipool for SuperCoin? why would i want to get pay in dogecoin, litecoin, darkcoin, etc, etc  to get pay with those coin there's hundreds of multipools that does that, i know that be a choice of our own  to get pay in those coins or Super but we not here to promote other coins or rise the price up of those coins, i dont mine ECC if you supporting Super i support ECC  but other coins nah , the ideal was to pay in Super at first to sustain the price or make it go up  Undecided ?

this is a multipool for the TC coins, yes. (ECC, MWC, Super). we have the option to be paid in other coins so normal miners can also mine here if they so choose. this makes it so that the hash from people who arent mining just for super to help the hash of people who are mining for super so the pool gets blocks to be solved.

id rather it be: everyone mines as it can pay out in mine-able coins so that people who are mining for super get additional hash to the pool so blocks are actually solved.

as opposed to: only people who want TC coins can mine here, there arent enough miners to solve blocks on coins worth mining, no one gets paid.

or is there some super hardcore miners here that i dont know about? (feedback on my thoughts is welcomed / encouraged)

If the miners arent pointed to pay out in super, how do we get help from this?
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: January 16, 2015, 09:14:42 PM
i mean i could create a super address for each user. but then they would have no way to get the coins out of it due to there being no user accounts.

Please someone chime in with an intelligent workaround.

There are no user accounts, but you are using their coin address to send coins.  Could signatures & open encryption be utilized to transfer the sensitive PW information?
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: January 16, 2015, 06:51:49 PM
The only part I dont get is your pool pays out in ANY coin? Say I wanted to be paid in DMD, or Vior, or MMXIV or SEED? That possible? If its not ANY coin, can you give us a list?

Vegas

well there is no login section... well accounts for that matter to the pool. it just pays out to the username address and coin type. it is modular so that yes, any coin is theoretically possible. but your right, i didnt actually code for every coin. i will put a list on the website soon. i knew i was forgetting something. thank you. ill do that after i finally eat something today. its basically any coin on bittrex atm

Well that in itself is VERY impressive! You DO know you are the ONLY multipool in existance that can payout ANY coin on bittrex?!?!

I really want to post this on my blog as this is a first. I am on first page of google for many search terms for big name coins. I get a few hundred visitors a day. Google "supercoin wallet" and im right there, first page.
For now I will just post as 1st multipool to payout in any coin on Bittrex!
UPDATE: posted it on my blog, better get ready Griffith..LOL

www.bitcoinlasvegas.net

Just a thought.  If this is true, a multipool that pays out in any coin should attract miners.  What if it was 99% any coin of the miners choosing and a mandatory 1% Super?  Something to drive Super adoption. Just a thought..

so you are saying that the coins should be paid out in the currency they want and then also have a small bit of the payout in super? due to the fact that there are no accounts for the pool (for security reasons, no accounts to steal or hack) i have no way of reliably obtaining the correct super address for everyone who connects. the only way i am getting payout addresses now is because that is what they are supposed to be using for their usernames. i will have to add on a pool fee in order to pay for equipment upgrades at some point after the beta. and i will probably also use that to buy super and other stuff

Yes, that is what I'm proposing. Could the pool the create and give a Super address for every connected user perhaps?

we have filed a complaint. if this doesnt get resolved within 3 business days. we will be changing hosting providers

The site is working fine here in the north east US, but thanks for the quick action for those it is affecting.

More members should donate to allow the dev team to have more resources to build super... I will pledge another 25K super if we as a community can raise 200k super

I will happily match this under the condition that the TC group agrees that this donation amount will prompt forward development.

MdtSpain is making a graphic drawing of the roadmap, he said he would do it tomorrow. so that will be uploaded then.
Don't know what you are pointing to....the roadmap is on the OP page for a long time now

Really, Where?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=875651.msg9675361#msg9675361

I don't see a graphic representation of where Super is heading, nor a written road map. Yes, there are talking points for In Wallet Trading, MultiCoin Wallet, & a Decentralized Exchange.  How about target dates? Steps being taken towards these goals? Strategic business intergrations utilizing Super? Truly anonymizing the Tx's by splitting the supersend transaction into standardized 5 super, 10 super, etc chunks? (excuse me, I cant recall the correct verbiage)

Also, Whats up with the multipool?

Trusted Crypto, It seems as if you have taken on quite a lot of work spanning many projects over the past few months.  Looking at your other projects, I see similar scenarios, talk, but not a lot of progress.  If you are going to manage all this, its understandable that the work occurs slightly slower, but it has to OCCUR. The easiest way to keep us investors happy is with constant communication so we believe you are working diligently and not becoming swamped with all you've taken on...

Please address all points, not just whichever is easiest and most convenient to explain.

Once again, not FUDDING, just being critical with my money.  We all want success here.

after thursday i have nothing planned for 2 months until school starts again. so thats good news

MdtSpain is making a graphic drawing of the roadmap, he said he would do it tomorrow. so that will be uploaded then.

i was working on the multipool everyone had voted for. the code itself is done except for 1 or 2 minor things and i just need to test the payout in X coin processor which i will test with LTC to super conversion later today once i finish that.

this pool should be up and running for christmas (although i wont be here that day for obvious reasons so this time line probably should be delayed a day / adjusted)

So...What's been going on?

Not trying to FUD, just trying to keep up to date and info honest. It's been a while since a meaningful update.

As for donations, I've sent 15k (10 a few weeks ago + 5 recently) super, fierce sent 25k.  I've got more to donate when I see that the project is moving in a forward direction.

I dont see you as a FUDder at all, I also think that things are moving a bit too slow here. I don't know, maybe managing 4 coins is not the best idea.

We'll see, but I offered to collaborate with www.ISG3D.com to do 3D printed Supercoin merchandise and I got no answer here by the dev. The company ISG is now having a lot of exposure on Bitcoin website, this could've been good for SUPER.

Anyway, I like the tech and the coin, we are coming back from the holidays so I guess it's understandable if it was a bit slower.

holidays suck. if this is still an option. id say go for it

Care to address the rest of the quote?

The site is working fine for me as well.  But Griffith, TC team, ignoring serious investor questions like this is exactly what our previous Dev did.  If you choose this route as well, be prepared to see a quick exodus from investors.  Our patience are already thin for this behavior.

Isthere any relationship from supercoin and supernet?

No.

I think there should be. SuperCoin/SuperNet, sounds like a match made in crypto nirvana

You could always approach jl777 about some sort of involvement, but they already plan to use bitcoindark for anonymizing services.

Only if you can prove Supercoin is more anonymous than bitcoindark then I doubt any viable response from Supernet & jl777

Well, griffith, Mdst, Can we? BTCD is open sourced, so are we. We could act aggressively here. Beef the SC code to ensure greater anon & usability.  ...

My order just came in last night and I was so excited that I had to try them all.

Bee Bomb: Delicious taste, many uses, non fire-breathers will consume it. (READ: The girlfriend loved it)

Hornet Bomb: Classic habanero flavors. Honey balances it well. Consumable in quantity. Sandwiches, eggs, etc.

To the moon: A perfect blend of heat & flavor. Smokey & rich.  This will be the first bottle to go empty, I can tell now.

KillerSWARM: If you consume this and don't break a sweat, you're a robot. That said, I absolutely love the taste of it.  Will be diluting this one and using in recipes.

I can't speak highly enough of Pex Peppers. They're top notch products.  I'll be ordering more as soon as these empty out.  Got my eye on the 7 pot panic next.
