101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I the only one who wants bitcoin to tank? on: August 10, 2014, 12:01:47 AM
I check the crypto charts every day... Just waiting for a good crash. Like the last time, I bought 1 Bitcoin at $380. My only mistake was not buying more.

Long term I think it will be over $1,000 again... But this short term stability is so boring.

I know the best thing for Bitcoin is stability...but the best thing for Dr. Bitcoin is a nice healthy CRASH. My money is ready to go!! Just when?

Do you suffer from Bi-Polar dissorder or are you just someone with sever Fear-Of-Missing-out?

Too bad I sold all my CRYPTI at 1700 at the beginning of trading. WIll watch this from the side lines Wink

You can still join to the party

Nah, I did my asessment and came to the conclusion, that my other investments have a higher Risk/Reward ratio than this coin. Also I made enough with this coin already, no reason to get greedy!

Will watch with exitement though!

Coffee mostly.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 09, 2014, 11:46:43 PM
Keep it simple, 100 BTC cold in very well hidden fireproof safe with a backup.

GPS coords of it is PGP protected.

Peace of mind  Grin Priceless.

This sounds like the safekeeping would cost more than the worth of those coins Wink
107  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $20 STEAM credit for only $2!! [0.003btc] CrAzY Deal!! on: August 09, 2014, 11:46:06 PM

Is he a very good person, or did he get them for free?

What difference does it make mate, he is selling $20 codes for a roll of nickels.  Grin
First time i have met anyone who was BiPolar in a good way heh heh

109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: August 09, 2014, 11:44:02 PM
I made from 0.3 -> 5 BTC in 10 hours with martingale on PrimeDice.
It were so freakin crazy.. that "ride" raised my total wagered to 113 BTC.

Then I cashed out and lost it all back 3 weeks later..

My highest bet were around 1.25 BTC.

Martingale is always a losing strategy in the long-run.. if you don't have unlimited money supply.

If you have unlimited money supply, why would you need "More" money? You already have unlimited.

Also, no, even then, the expected value is still negaive.
110  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: August 09, 2014, 11:41:53 PM
I'd spend half of the money on booze, blow and hookers, the remaining 50% i'd waste.

112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it a bad decision to payoff mortgage early on: August 09, 2014, 11:39:23 PM
Basically you would be better of keeping it if you can yield an average of >4.4% ROI AFTER taxes. But keep in mind, that you should never invest money that you don't yet own. So basically you would lever yourself.

THough decision, I would have paid it off too.
113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Buy BTC? on: August 09, 2014, 11:37:20 PM
Bitstamp mostly. Sometimes using bitfinex.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wallstreet guys won't buy from exchanges on: August 09, 2014, 11:24:21 PM

115  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Invest bitcoins? on: August 09, 2014, 11:21:32 PM
I have some bitcoins I am not using right now, and I was wondering if I can invest them to make a little extra money. I heard of a site called btcjam.com not sure if this is the site I should use though? Does anyone suggest this site, or even another one that I can invest bitcoins to make a % back?

Very good idea to invest into a 1,000,000$ self-valued company, that has about 10$ per days is sales.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 09, 2014, 11:17:41 PM
everywhere I see Stellar Stellar Stellar Grin. is this so popular now? certainly seems so.

The last time it was for Dogecoin  Wink

yeah really reminds me of dogecoin but perhaps even a little more extreme! it's not only in cryptocircles but even in many other spheres that I read about it!

Is it a positive thing if a coin is like Doge? Didn't end too well, did it?

It makes money in my pocket so yes it's positive.

Yeah, but the people you dumped your coins on lose money, so it's a negative experience for them.

And a negative experience overall I guess. many people are very angry with the way Doge worked out overall.

Note that I never said Stellar is like Doge. I said there are many people talking about the project which reminds me of the Doge hype. Now draw conclusions all you want buddy, I simply say a huge amount of people stumble upon Stellar.

Well, ok then. Doge turned many people into cryptocoin users, so if Stellar is able to do that, then why not!
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 09, 2014, 11:14:44 PM
New answer: wait until some other wallet implements the same features/workflow as Armory, but without the phoning home part and use that instead.

How about just disable it, like the devs suggested? There is an OPT-OUT!
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many Bitcoins needed to retire in 5-6 years? on: August 09, 2014, 11:13:03 PM
I am hoping no more then 8 or 9 as that is how many I have now Wink

There are still 6 year to buy more of those juicy coins Smiley
