MixIt Sodawasser.
122  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $50 Amazon.com codes for only $12!!! [0.02btc] This is NUTS!! on: August 09, 2014, 11:07:17 PM
Just wanted to say that even though a code can be applied to an account doesn't mean it is legit. If the codes where bought using a stolen CC, then amazon will freeze every account that applied one of those codes.

Be wary!
123  Economy / Economics / Re: How profitable are exchanges? on: August 09, 2014, 11:05:19 PM
Altcoin exchanges are very very profitable for the people running it, because after 4-8 months, they get "hacked" and shut down. No questions asked :p

The reason why most veteran users do not store coin on exchange. And there should be a no tolerance policy on "hacked" exchange.

Right now there is more like a "No hassle" policy. If someone gets hacked, the reaction is: "Shit happens, lets move on".

Do you guys remember inputs.io ??

NOTHING happend to the guy. And it was crystal clear that he stole those 4000 BTC + ~10000 BTC himself!
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 09, 2014, 11:03:57 PM
everywhere I see Stellar Stellar Stellar Grin. is this so popular now? certainly seems so.

The last time it was for Dogecoin  Wink

yeah really reminds me of dogecoin but perhaps even a little more extreme! it's not only in cryptocircles but even in many other spheres that I read about it!

Is it a positive thing if a coin is like Doge? Didn't end too well, did it?
125  Other / Off-topic / Re: what is the sickest tattoo that you ever seen? on: August 09, 2014, 11:02:37 PM
Those tatoos  must be on guys with no social live. How the fuck would anyone let a friend/partner/family member do that to himself?

128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Block Explorer do you use ? on: August 09, 2014, 10:57:30 PM
Blockchain.info is the default, but when it goes down, I always use blockr.io as backup!
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to stay away from scam coins (?) on: August 09, 2014, 10:56:27 PM
One point many persons miss all the time is, that once a source code was ONCE reviewed, the people tend to trust it indefinately.

Like V0.1 is trojan free and some people check it and post the results. Now in V0.3 they introduce a wallet stealing trojan, nearly everyone currently running that software will just download the update blindly.

Really really concerning!

PS: I do the same thing Wink

Anyone got a fundamental reason for me to buy this coin over all the other similar coins?

Look on the previous page at post 3044. Download the paper and decide for yourself.

Is there a TL;DR version before I start?

No. Don't be lazy when money is involved.

Haha, good point!

Just read the Summary and a few pages. Interesting concept, though I am not yet sure if it is 100% trustfree!
131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers Use Bitcoins??? on: August 09, 2014, 10:46:30 PM
So after all there is nothing one can do against scammers but use middle mans? Is there anyway to rather surely identify these kinda sites / shops , services whatever? I was thinking of using one myself but im too afraid of the possible consequences :/

The best way when using sites is to google feedback for those sites. If there are NO postings on bitcointalk about it, or very controversial feedback, then stay cautious and avoid such firms.

If dealing with persons, don't trust anyone and try to minimize your losses in case of theft (sending in tranches and using escorw)
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long have you been using Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2014, 10:44:19 PM
1 month  Embarrassed

You are still an early adopter! Why the sad face?
133  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 09, 2014, 10:39:52 PM
I wish there was an alternative way to recover the Bitcoin in case of hardware failure or other abnormality. Instead of having to wait for another Trezor to come in.

If it is using BIP32, you should be able to just enter the seed into a programm capable of restoring a BIP32 wallet?

135  Economy / Economics / Re: How high a of a market cap would bitcoin need to have to be 'stable'? on: August 09, 2014, 10:31:32 PM
The deeper the order books, the more stable a currency will be.

Well that is also true guess it would depend how much money is around a price range to make it move up or downward that would make a currency or Bitcoin stable, but by market cap is the question ^_^.

True, but market cap can a coin make more instable!

Think about a highly valued coin with very thin market books. If someone wants to cashout a chunk, the market will tank.

The same cap with highly liquid markets would eat up that sell in seconds!

There is not a single scammer on bitcointalk, only honest and friendly guys!

(Sarcasm off: DON'T TRUST ANYONE THAT HAS NOT MORE TO LOSE THAN THE THING YOU SEND HIM!)

140  Economy / Economics / Re: --- You Are Not Late --- on: August 09, 2014, 10:23:46 PM
Are you sure you made the right conclusions from that article?

I think it rather says that bitcoin entrapreneurs shouldn't hesitate. You can't really compare ownership in bitcoins with anything in/on the internet.
