61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteGoldCoin(LGC) POW 2018 on: March 12, 2018, 04:13:26 AM

Ha if that email conversation is even half true then the dev is certainly a real newbie. That alone should make us refrain from touching this any further.

It's apparent to me that this guy set this up so he can get a few people pumped about it, and then try to sell off his giant pre-mine stash for actual BTC.

Anyone else excited to hear back from the exchanges I sent listing requests to today?  Cool

Hey great job man! Good luck!

Hey sorry for the delay in response, I got sidetracked about coming back before my post limit expired. I havent forgot about you and am doing my best to get a MAC wallet to you asap. Thanks again for the support, I'm going to post the public trello board tomorrow so everyone can get a better understanding of what's in the short term plan.

If anyone has any promotional/marketing experience please reach out and lets see if we can work together. Looking forward to taking this to the next level  Grin

No worries, I'm sure you've got your hands full. Soon as you've got that locked in, I'll start mining.

there are many orphans ... but it works

They're under attack until a fork on the 11th of March. Should resolve the issue then.
67  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Possible New DFW Hosting Spot on: March 08, 2018, 10:00:06 PM
I know what you saying.

I search more than 300 property in DFW

there are only 3 places have 400amp 208V 3phase with less than 5000sf.

one of them leased two days ago, so now only 2 left.

larger than 5000SF with 600amp is not that hard. but it is wasting too much space.

but,  it seems you have a bigger picture than me.

So, I am so excited about your work.

Next time I'm in town... let's grab lunch. Shoot me a PM here.
68  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: March 08, 2018, 09:42:34 PM
I have been running the two pods that I have at 225 MHz for about 2 weeks now with zero issues, they are in a controlled environment and temp is set to 60 f.
My avg hash rate is 195 Gh/s at the 225 MHz on nicehash.
These two are solid work horses, they are slightly warm to the touch.

Nice! That sounds great!
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinFast revival - on: March 08, 2018, 09:35:07 PM
I'm running the synchronization again, because I had a problem with the fork, I'll be online soon

My Mac wallet is taking forever to sync after having been off for a few days. I'm on the most recent version (3.1.0.0)

Thoughts?
70  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Possible New DFW Hosting Spot on: March 08, 2018, 09:32:13 PM
Okay, sounds like you have better knowledge than me.

I order 120 ASICs and looking a  leasable property, meet floor plan and electricity, about 3 weeks.

I find 3 good places to start, but electric power upgrading makes me to hands down and considers to colocation.

I met more than 10 electricians and their asking was way higher than budget. ($15000)

Well, Let me know once you set to start.

I definitely want to join.

Keep your eyes on this thread and I'll update everyone as things move along.

It sounds like the places you were looking at just had insufficient power. That's why, for us, it was important to find a place that has at least so much power onsite already, and we're only going to pull the trigger on a place that has an easier path towards eventual upgrades.

I'll give you two examples of places we've passed on just to help illustrate how we're looking at it:

- Spot #1 had 300 amps of 220v electricity readily available, and there was another 50amps of 220v we would wire into a sub-panel for less than $700 in work. Sweet. But... the transformer that fed this building was over 1,500 ft away. Cost to pull in additional electricity from that transformer was over $11,500 and would have resulted in an additional 500 amps of service total. Beyond that, the cost to upgrade the transformer would have been on us, and would have been over $26,000. So good start... but upgrade paths not so good.

- Spot #2 had over 700 amps of 220v electricity onsite, but it was basically capped there. Costs to do ANYTHING beyond it were well over $50,000. Forget it.

The spot we're looking at now has a considerable amount of power onsite, and its own transformer on site which can be replaced to effectively double the capacity. Beyond THAT, the power lines run less than 60 feet from the property, so going beyond an upgraded transformer would be much much less expensive.

If you can find a place that has a solid start and affordable upgrade options, its worth seeking it out. Thats why we're willing to take awhile getting THIS part right, because once we get in there, we know we're set for the period of time we want to be set for.
71  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Possible New DFW Hosting Spot on: March 08, 2018, 08:46:28 PM
lease?

I very strongly recommend you to buy a property if you are trying to hosting.

adding and replacing electrical panel is a pain to spend a money.

it is very easy to spend $50K, just electricity set up.

Thanks for the note. Couple of thoughts from my perspective:

1) Setting this up primarily for my own private group of miners. Outside hosting for other folks will be something we add-on if we're sure we can do it in a reliable and trustworthy way, and in a fashion that doesn't require a giant customer service commitment. Hosting for outside customers would be on a limited basis, and something we grow into slowly so we can void all the hassles we've been reading about here.

2) Leasing commercial property isn't something new to me. My current business leases space in two states, and possibly a third in DFW (unless we find a space that can house hosting and office space together, which is unlikely). Our search is for properties that have at least two years' worth of our projected power need onsite already, and with an easier upgrade. We're doing ALL of that investigative work up front, so when we ink the lease we know what it has, and we know what it will take to add-on more, so there's no surprises or limitations later.

3) Our goal is to use this space to grow the business and mining operations over two years so that we can purchase a commercial building of our own later on, and have a lot more flexibility beyond that. We'll also be able to better project how big of a building we want at that point.

Baby steps. But all very intentional, and very well planned out.
72  Economy / Auctions / Re: $130 USD Bitmain Coupon for any Miner [L3+,S9,etc] on: March 08, 2018, 06:13:01 AM
Hi,

I have one Bitmain Coupon over 200$ valid until 2018-06-01. Please PN me if interested. I accept Paypal (if you wish with buyers assurance) or Banktransfer (European Bank account).
I will remove this post when the coupon is sold.

You said the value is "over $200" but you show a screen shot of a coupon for $200. How is it over $200?

I can confirm they seem completely new to me as well. No evidence of dust or signs of wear.

Sent you a PM yesterday...

WARNING: DATACOM SPECIALISTS in Cincinnati OH

We had a terrible experience with them.  They promised to host and didnt actually have the building or the power(they lied about it all until Delivery day).  When our miners were delivered they said too bad, not our problem.  They wouldn't even pay for shipping the items back to us.  I would steer clear of them, I know they are actively pursuing customers on bitcointalk.  PM me for more details.

Hello Quinn and Steve,

We understand your disappointment in your ability to understand us communicating when the building was ready....

Ahh cute... the old blame the customer routine. That's a great way to score points with the rest of us. Treat the guy like shit publicly.... sheesh.
75  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 07, 2018, 06:19:44 PM
I never meant anything bad with my criticism, I was just worried because we've seen many bad cases during Bitcoin mining history. So my apologies for my suspicions, I hope you understand my concerns earlier. We have now reached more open environment around the DragonMint and after Phil gets one for review, even more info is to come.  Smiley

Matti

I don't even think you need to apologize for your suspicions man. They brought a lot of it on themselves. Despite the secrecy, they came off very cocky and uncaring... which fosters more suspicion.

The one thing I've learned in my short time here is that you have to realize what folks here have been through. Some of the paranoia comes off very harsh and unfounded, until you take a step back and look at all the crazy stuff the folks in the community have been through. Halong, at the barest of minimums, hasn't been very sensitive to that. At least until now.

I'm just happy to see it come to fruition. As has been said so many times here... if its real... the competition is much needed, and I think in the end everyone wins with another serious ASIC player in the marketplace.
76  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 07, 2018, 09:04:00 AM
Fascinating developments.

Despite my initial qualms about this miner, it appears more and more likely that this is the real deal, and I’m relieved for all those guys who’ve prepurchased them.

79  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 06, 2018, 08:56:47 PM
Yeah they have definitely decided not to show 100% of the miner conf page by zooming into the up right corner of the page,
and I think it is connected somehow to what I have noticed.

Maybe they don't want to be connected to Innosilicon after all the mess Inno has had.

The only striking difference I can see is that the font is bold on the Innosilicon version and not on the Halong one.

So frustrating how closed off they’ve been.

Hi everyone! I'm the community member appointed to leading KLT and LSC now! If you're a developer interested in joining the team going forward, please reach out to me in the discord servers! My sincerest wishes go out to freakcoder for his losses and wish him the best of luck for bringing us this far.

KLT discord - https://discord.gg/AmJaJRE
LSC discord - https://discord.gg/5qht7BK

nice to meet you... let us know how we can help..

Nice to meet you too! Right now I'm looking for someone/people that are interested in taking these coins to the next level. We need a developer experienced with coding for masternodes and getting them implemented.  I'm going to try and outline a game plan to get some community interaction going via bounties and other activities, but the funds for everything depend on what I can raise from the community at this point. I've already had a few people reach out to me and offer to contribute funds for bringing a developer on so I have high hopes that we'll be able to strike a deal with someone that truly believes in these coins and wants to see them all the way to fruition.

I recently stated.... but sharing again since you're newly taking over... I'm down to begin mining on this coin and jump in to help... as soon as you have a MacOS Wallet. I'm told they're relatively easy to compile... but I'm no coder and don't know the ins and outs.
