Decentralization is hard.

Horse shit. Running an open and honest business isn’t hard, either. But the way you go about it, no wonders you and MyRig found each other. Shameful all of you.
42  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 04, 2018, 06:20:17 AM
Don't you think they have already thought about someone like you sniffing up the pole?

Regardless, so what? What are you going to do? Go sniff them out and then what?

So what? So based on the information that we can learn (or not learn) about Halong Mining and MyRig, people can make informed decisions on whether they are comfortable buying from them. Disclosing the customary information about the incorporators (i.e., who they are, where their principle place of business is physically located, the consumer protections afforded in that jurisdiction) goes a long way towards building (or undermining) consumer confidence.

Let’s take it a step further. It’s illegal to present yourself as incorporated with the State of Colorado if you are not. We can report the to the state AG’s office and let them sniff around. Colorado law states that if they wish to do business in the state, but they are incorporated elsewhere (internationally OR domestically) that they should register as a foreign entity (in this case foreign is defined as outside of Colorado). If their terms invoke Colorado as jurisdiction, but they have no legal presence in Colorado, that’s a problem in several ways.

Also, the UPS Store where their box is registered was required by United States Postal Service regulations to obtain proper identification from whomever registered their mailbox there. If they’re acting illegally in the state, a complaint to the US Postal Inspector should drum up that information as well.

For all the hating folks do on Bitmain, as least we know whom, what, and where they are. Halong likes to talk about people “making their own decisions” yet they don’t give up any of the information necessary to do so properly. “Trust us, we’re awesome...” isn’t good enough.

And to hear the machines, after all of this hullabaloo and smoke and mirrors and obfuscation and dodgery, don’t even work to specs. This is unreal.

If you want to do due diligence on a company, you can easily get a sales agreeement from them. It doesn’t mean you need to send money to the company. After reviewing a sales agreement, you can then consider the terms and make your decision.

Not true. People have been asking for months and they hide behind their accounts. It’s not unreasonable to ask.

B29 and B52 and T1 are shipping, however, Holiday was in the way that caused a few days of delivery delay due to the logistical issues of dealing with the Customs agencies and transport companies.

Phil's unit wise, it will be on the way, but as it was offered, after first batch are out, late March into Early April.  some of the early buyer's unit are still in transit, hopefully everyone will have the T1 by Friday, or reach your country by Friday.

We will look into preparing unit for Phil but shipping already paid customers are priority than try to prove our existence at the moment.  All resource is pointed to shipping out BTC, SIA and Decred miner at the moment.

Please provide your corporate information. You are incorporated in which U.S. state? You have a local business license where?
45  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Possible New DFW Hosting Spot on: March 27, 2018, 10:44:38 PM

Any progress?

Having protracted negotiations on a new spot we found, but well worth getting it right.

I'm loosely still optimistic about May-July timeline, but caution that some work travel commitments in June may cause me to fall behind schedule a few weeks if they materialize. I'll know more in the next week or two.

Also, depending on how long the lease negotiation takes. The group we're negotiating with takes 24-48 hours to respond to anything we discuss.

Looks like the Dev has not logged in since the 3rd of March... Too bad because I was very interested in Murfcoin.

That was only two weeks ago... let's not write the guy off just yet. Why is everyone in such a hurry?

It's a side project. Murfcoin isn't his full-time job, he doesn't have a dev team of 20 guys working on the project. Lets cut him some slack.

I just jumped in this week to start mining.

If the one and only exchange that carried the coin isn't available anymore, let's all work to get a new one. What does it take to get listed on Cryptopia? They seem to support new projects regularly, and I've been very happy with my account there for many months.

That's a good point. Your optimism has inspired me!

Since I have been heavily vested in this project from the beginning, and I think I was the first miner to throw an ASIC on the network, I am very motivated to see it full of life.

I've not used Cryptohub before... but I'll sign up for this. Count me in to vote.

Can we get a few other folks to jump in and promise their votes as well? Let's get a few solid YES's before anyone pays to do anything.

https://cryptohub.online/

I am willing to pay the fee to add Murf to the coin voting, but it would be a waste if no one else was able to vote for it. Does anyone else use cryptohub? The volume isn't huge but at least it has some, unlike the first exchange.

Cryptopia need 5M DOT (more than 10 btc) to list new coin on their exchange. Who will pay for that?

Well, I wasn't aware of their fee to list a new coin... but now that I've heard it... at least I know where that's at. Some exchanges, I've seen, are far less to list. As a community we could pool resources to get it done somewhere.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteGoldCoin(LGC) POW 2018 on: March 18, 2018, 05:03:42 AM
Is this something other than litecoin and litecoincash? I think more and more coins will emerge using the name of the legendary coin.

This is just a piece of crap coin started by a dude who wants to sell you his pre-minded chunks for real BTC. So its just a ploy to get BTC. He barely knows anything about crypto, and avoids confrontation when you try to speak logic in his direction.

Run away from this craphole as fast as your legs will let you.

WARNING: DATACOM SPECIALISTS in Cincinnati OH

We had a terrible experience with them.  They promised to host and didnt actually have the building or the power(they lied about it all until Delivery day).  When our miners were delivered they said too bad, not our problem.  They wouldn't even pay for shipping the items back to us.  I would steer clear of them, I know they are actively pursuing customers on bitcointalk.  PM me for more details.

Hello Quinn and Steve,

We understand your disappointment in your ability to understand us communicating when the building was ready....

Ahh cute... the old blame the customer routine. That's a great way to score points with the rest of us. Treat the guy like shit publicly.... sheesh.

Just logged on to BTCalk and found this gem.  These guys are a real class act.  Fortunately, this guy can say whatever he wants here in bitcointalk land, but our signed contract and our lawyer, emails and texts of record, are not interested in that.  We filed a lawsuit this week in the Superior Court of Los Angeles.  We are taking this all the way to trial to represent everyone on here whos been scammed by a hosting company.

Hey thanks for posting this...

If you're able to, I think we'd all really appreciate you starting a thread to tell your story and share with us some progress on the trial. I'm sure there are some things you can't say just yet, but I think it would be invaluable to all of us to hear as much as we can about what's going on.

New Dev team has been announced on the updated ANN page here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3119537

Congrats on getting the new team up. MacOS Wallet soon?

Yep! They're working on it and should have it done soon Smiley

Sweet. I'm ready to throw some mining power at it. I just use the wallet as my barrier to entry. And my partners all use MacOS wallets also, so once that puzzle piece has fallen into place, its when we jump in.

I'm sure your hands are full right now... so thanks for keeping us updated.

53  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: March 16, 2018, 08:42:01 AM

hmm i'm getting unrecognized option with both of those options.

my string looks like this:
Desktop\CGMiner\cgminer-3.7.2-windows\cgminer-nogpu.exe -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -u zbw123.worker1 -p x --gekko-compac-freq 200

are there any obvious mistakes in there please?

Shouldn’t your string be “2pac-freq” instead of “compac-freq” ?

Is there anyone trying to get their equipment back from REKT Mining? I'd requested my miners to be shipped back 12 days ago. Dusting had promised to send them back and he is still promising each time I ask! But nothing is happening. Should I consider my property to be stolen by now?

Yes. File a police report in the city where his warehouse is located.
55  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit Resellers for Antminers on: March 16, 2018, 03:58:29 AM

But is there any reason why you can't buy in bitmain? The price is less there: https://shop.bitmain.com/main.htm?lang=en

The min order quantity at Bitmain is five. I wanted one to use as a demo unit, and like the price point.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinFast revival - on: March 16, 2018, 03:43:45 AM
it is strange you an't get to the website - nobody else have mentioned any problems.
maybe try firefox?? I don't know

if you can't get to the website, and your wallet won't connect (the web site is the first node your wallet tries to connect to)
then maybe your internet service provider is blocking the IP for some reason? (just a thought)

No problems on my side, and wallet has been connected for several days.

We sell on Amazon and have over 500 reviews with a 100% feedback score. Just watch out for cryptocrane.info, they're a scam site that is impersonating us.

Anyone else deal with CryptoCrane? I sent them a PM here on the board, and also a public note on the V9 thread that I'd done so, and they ignored me entirely. If they're a legit seller, I'm not sure I'd understand why they would ignore a potential customer who's asking about payment methods.

I told them in PM that I'd be fine just using PayPal. They seemed legit enough to trust... but then ignored me... so maybe my trust was misplaced?

Can anyone vouch?
