I often call this the electronic money market. I do not consider it to be virtual currency. Because I have a lot of appreciation for blockchain technology, so to say it is virtual currency I do not feel right.

The price is a result of supply and demand. If demand continues to go up forever, at fixed supply, the price could only go up. However, that's technically impossible, since there isn't an infinite supply of fiat in the world for people to buy it forever.
