I think it is quite difficult.

I *think* the block chain of the coin being merged into the other one needs to be configured to do so.

I think I have only seen merged SHA256 coins but not 100% sure...

Kimoto has already proven he is way ahead of the competition. Every Megacoin feature that has been implemented has set the standard for all other coins to match. Seems pretty obvious you don't like MEC, because you are afraid the next announcement, or the one after, may make all your Goof coins obsolete.

The guy is just a sad story. Look at the weird way he switches gears too -- between feigning interest to attempt to build credibility to throwing around grade school playground insults (literally -- I remember some of these from when I was a kid.) The guy missed the boat on Megacoin and I think it's actually causing him so much anguish his head is about to explode.

It's unfortunate we have to deal with kids like this in this community -- definitely the most frustrating aspect of altcoins. The level of immaturity is unmatched and it slows progress and pollutes the image. He's an angry kid...and contributes nothing. I think it's time he gets a new hobby.

I put him on my ignore list -- I'm tired of feeling sorry for this guy.

I agree completely. But I still think the opportunity to get in on Megacoin is prime. We had a little get together yesterday with some of my mining friends. At about .01 cent each, you can still buy a solid ticket on the MEC Express for a real small investment. In fact I have told quite a few people that just buying a grand worth of MEC would likely be a much better investment than building a couple mining systems that would initially cost 3 times as much.

As for klee, his contradictions really just help confirm what most of us already know... Megacoin has a very bright future!

Yeah -- I used "missed the boat" as what he's seeing from his perspective. I agree it's a great investment -- I'm all-in on Megacoin. It's the only thing I mine...and the only thing I buy. With the new difficulty adjustment it's always toward the top for profitability anyway so it doesn't make sense to mine anything else, really.

I still have a decent amount of LTC and CGB. I considered selling it to buy more MΣC...but it can't hurt to hedge my bets a little bit. I'm quite confident...but I currently have my fair share of Megacoins. When people were dumping for insanely low prices a month ago I just kept scooping it all up. In my opinion, the smart play is to mine/buy and hold. Looking toward early next year, the reward will be down to 25 MΣC/block and a lot of the junk coins that are polluting this market will start to disappear...making MΣC stand out even more.

Only time will tell...but there's obviously a lot of profit to be had here.

You may have noticed HYC, CNC, CRC, NAN, and GIL will be delisted from Cryptsy on October 1st. Lots of other junk coins will be gone over the next year, and MEC will gain from the consolidation into quality. CGB is also a keeper in my opinion, but I think it's just a matter of time until MEC is sitting on top. I still have LTC too, but most were sold to buy more MEC. No doubt there are good times ahead for Megacoin.

Once ZC gets implemented I'd be willing to donate to a bounty fund for promotion.  I'm sure there's others willing to do the same.  MEC has one of the stronger communities in the altcoin market.
I'd also like to get cryptsy to use the ticker kimoto chose (MΣC) instead of plain ol MEC.  It would definitely help it stand out more to the uninformed.
