1381  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Which Asus 5850 driver is best to use on: August 08, 2013, 02:34:26 AM
I"m fairly well versed in cgminer. and it was working til I changed video cards(went from a 6450 to a 5850). I have everything set up w/ batchfiles and never really do any tweaking.

ok. I tried 12.8 and couldn't get Catalyst control host to quit crashing. 13.1 functions normally, but both cgminer(v 3.1.1 and 2.11.3) and reaper beta fail withing seconds of launching.  One thing that I've noticed. I"l only using 6 6pin plugs instead of a 6pin and an 8pin plug. Would that cause an issue?

looking at the card closer, the partnumber is eah5870/2dis/1gd5/v2. is that really a 5850?

dont forget .net and the ATI sdk

at the risk of sounding like an idiot.  ".net"? and where do I find the sdk? I thought the catalyst package installed the SDK along w/ everything else.

Tried the 12.8 pack. cgminer and guiminer scrypt crash.  13.1 and 13.4 make guiminer crash.  this is all under 64bit Windows 7, btw

I picked up an Asus Radeon 5850 today, and am trying to get it configured.  What drivers have ppl had the best luck mining with?

I"m looking for recommendations on coins to mine that have a very low diff.  I know that IFC have an insanely low diff, but I"m looking for other options for myself to mine. the coin doesn't need to be profitable, but some sort of trading  value would be cool.   I'm working w/ a combined 200kh/s, roughly.

Check my sig, mine some Lebowskis, man  Cool

White Russian in hand, man.  The dude abides

Once again, the dude does not drink White Russians, he drinks Caucasians. Get it right or dont claim to be a fan. Grin

I thought he added Vodka as well. I"ll have to rewatch it, more carefully

the pool http://dmd.minar.cc/ is scam, it don't reward in 3 three hour

Just a question, but why did you immediately jump to the conclusion that the site was a scam, instead of shooting the Op an email like other miners did?  Once the pool owner was  alerted to the issue, he addressed it fairly promptly.

I've been mining on the p2pool pool for about 24hours, and as of yet to see my address on the payout tab of the site. Is this normal?
