1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [RaiBlocks] RaiBlocks trading thread on: February 07, 2017, 06:28:18 AM
it seems like we need a standard format of post to escrow for buyers and sellers, they should both pm escrow who they want to trade with, also the price and the amount.  it may take a lot for communicating, sigh...   if we can use the tool like slack, it will be much easier and convenient

Code:
Mrai Buyer's name and bitcoin address:
Mrai Seller's name and bitcoin address:
Amount being sold:
Price per Mrai:
Buyer's raiblock account:

You can ask me for my telegram. Can't post it publicly for personal reason.

How to buy it?

Just make an offer. Of course you'll need the wallet too.

If you guys wants an escrow I can do it. I've done many trades here above 50K. I'll take 1% fee of the Mrai.
But please check hostfat's free escrow service first > https://www.bitrated.com/HostFat
1% fee sounds reasonable, if i want to have you be my escrow, how can i contact you and what is the workflow for a trade?

You can contact me here anytime. I don't post a lot but I always check the forum.
A trade goes like this > The Mrai seller sends me the Mrai (because transaction is free and instant, plus I'll subtract the fee from that.), buyer sends bitcoins to the seller and I'll release the mrai once the bitcoin transaction gets confirmed. Simple.
BUT, newbies might find it hard to do escrow on forum because of the PM limit (10 per hour I think). So if you're about to hit the limit and don't want to wait that long then use hostfat service.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed Transaction for 4 hours. no solution ? on: February 01, 2017, 11:02:24 PM
As stated before the fee is too low for even VIABTC to even go ahead and want to confirm the transaction, which shows something in itself. OP I would go ahead and just play the waiting game on it, it should probably confirm in a couple days but if it doesn't then it probably will never confirm.

I'd take this as a lesson to use a higher fee, sorry!

Yeah. Have a cold and couldn't think clearly. My bad. I've deleted that post.

@OP
As said above, you can wait 72 hours for the transaction to be dropped by most nodes so you'll be able to send again with higher fees.
Or you can try CPFP by sending the coins from that transaction with higher fee (just make it 0.002/KB or something).
Or you can contact quickseller or macbook-air. They can push your tx to F2pool's pool.

Can I use CPFP with Electrum ? I am a novice.. i don't know how i have to make..
I will try to contact macbook and quick.

Otherwise I wait 72 hours and everything will produce in the order ?

For CPFP you'll have to do it from the wallet that controls 3Dwuv77DCQ5EtpB9tbsPoEpJfME8YsCHvc. If the address 3Dwuv77DCQ5EtpB9tbsPoEpJfME8YsCHvc is a service wallet and that service doesn't allow you to set the fees then you can't do CPFP.

Not sure I understand the second question. Anyway I've explained it all above.

Thank you, I'm crazy about my stupidity, i needed it quickly..

I'll wait, you know how much time it takes? Approximately..

3/4 days or more ?

The accelerator should make Viabtc confirm your transaction in under 6 hours. 24 hours at worst.

What do you said by " it probably will never confirm " ?
I will lose 4BTC because of my mistake.

You won't lose your btc. If it takes too long to confirm your tx will be dropped from the network and you'll be able to send again. Read my post above yours.

8  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Unspent outputs, higher fee on: January 31, 2017, 10:51:06 PM
Consolidating means creating a transaction with all the outputs you're trying to consolidate to one output. So you'll have to pay the fee anyway.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MRAI Price? on: January 27, 2017, 05:51:18 AM
There is a trading thread for Mrai. Current price is on the 80~90 range.
10  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: I sent bitcoins with low fee (Electrum), 0 confirms on: January 26, 2017, 05:20:23 PM
Post the txid. You can't just cancel a transaction but you can wait for the nodes to drop it. Once the transaction is dropped by most nodes including the server that you're using you should be able to create and broadcast another transaction with higher fee.

13  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: sent BTC while receiving transaction was still pending on: January 25, 2017, 04:36:36 AM
I usually just let it automatically choose a server. Are there any servers you recommend specifically?

Nope, sorry. I do auto-server too.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is wrong with this transaction? (not confirming) on: January 25, 2017, 04:32:37 AM
Thanks for that.  What is the actual difference (as far as the blockchain is concerned) between a RBF and non-RBF transaction?

With RBF you can replace an unconfirmed transaction with another identical transaction but with higher fee (the fee will be subtracted from the output) without having to wait for the nodes to drop the conflicting transaction. Non-RBF transactions can't be replaced unless nodes have already dropped the conflicting transaction.

Edit:
Note that not all nodes (and electrum servers) enables RBF. Sometimes your RBF transaction will be rejected even though it is flagged as replaceable. Change servers and try again if that happens.
15  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: sent BTC while receiving transaction was still pending on: January 25, 2017, 04:22:57 AM
I opened up another wallet and rebroadcast the transaction. Is it possible that did the trick?

Probably. Maybe the server you're connected to does have some problems.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is wrong with this transaction? (not confirming) on: January 25, 2017, 04:10:17 AM
The fee should have been 0.0005/kB, that's the correct number, right?  Can anyone verify Electrum did the math correct?  The person I sent it to said plenty of other people had paid and were confirmed in this time period.  Any thoughts?

https://blockchain.info/tx/d0f672ff289a8317ce2f7f976d5df307ecf680643a35274d37d181f4ff058279

The math is correct. 12900 (fee)/257 (size) = 50.19 satoshi per byte or 0.0005BTC/KB.
But 50 satoshi per byte is not enough to get a fast confirmation. I've seen a tx with 50 satoshi per byte not confirming since yesterday. The recommended fee is more than double that amount according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/.

You can use https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ to make a low fee transaction with at least 0.0001/KB confirm within few hours. I already submitted it but that link might be useful for future uses.
17  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: sent BTC while receiving transaction was still pending on: January 25, 2017, 03:58:24 AM
Thank you for your reply. Electrum shows the amount received in the balance, but then (-'amount' btc pending) next to it at the bottom, and if i try to send again, it says "insufficient funds".

im sure i pressed send and not preview. I wasnt aware that I didnt have enough fees, I was under the impression electrum sets the fees automatically as long as i dont change the amount in the settings. is there any way to pay the additional amount in fees?

https://blockchain.info/tx/9eb14119f3d1291e36a7de7c674e11c083bebc8658d52f8c9b245d11731e4971

Is that your transaction? It showed up just now while I was watching the address. No idea what happened though.
18  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Need help with my electrum account. on: January 25, 2017, 03:46:58 AM
The problem with unconfirmed transactions is only because low fee? or any other reason? I'm use online wallet coinbase and i'm never get problem so far and i want to use electrum for future, What the best fee to get fast confirmation based on amount i sent?

There are other reasons why a transaction can take so long to confirm but low fee is the most common one.
The best fee changes all the time according to the number of unconfirmed transactions and it have very little to do with the amount of bitcoins you're sending. The fee should increase with the transaction size in bytes.

Edit:
The transaction just got confirmed.
19  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: sent BTC while receiving transaction was still pending on: January 25, 2017, 03:40:59 AM
Hello,

I sent some BTC to my electrum wallet. Electrum showed the incoming transaction as pending. I thought it had cleared and the server just didnt sync yet, because electrum allowed me to send the full amount (minus fees) out to another address. It shows the same transaction with one input and two outputs. Stuck in pending state. I can find the transaction showing the BTC being sent TO my electrum wallet, but no record of the outgoing transaction. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

So that txid is the incoming transaction, correct? Both of the outputs are still unspent. There's no outgoing transaction. If you see no record of it then you can just create another one.
When you sent from electrum, did you click "Send" or "Preview"? It's possible that you clicked preview and signed the transaction but forgot to broadcast it.

As for why the incoming transaction is still pending, it's because the fee its using is lower than the recommended fee. That's 50 satoshi per byte, half of the recommended fee of 120 satoshi per byte according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/.

Any chance I can get someone here to help with an unconfirmed transaction :https://blockchain.info/tx/9c3932b34238e9590d3025d47aaf082f904fb5acb9513f0674beeaab7f5e60ff

Cheers

Quickseller and macbook-air are known to be able to help with that.
There's also ViaBTC's accelerator which does the same thing.
